I had consulted several local orthodontists for bids on my kids' teeth, and Silcox was the one we felt most comfortable with. I appreciate that he speaks to the kids on their level and tells them his expectations (not just to the parent). He is incredibly knowledgeable, competitively priced, and has always worked with my different insurance companies through the years. All three of my children have Dr Silcox as their orthodontist; so far, the results have been superb. During the initial braces application, they apply a protective barrier over the front of the tooth to prevent the possibility of bracket marks/scars in the future. I think it's an ingenious idea!! I appreciate that my kids are encouraged to maintain their excellent dental hygiene. (No cavities!) At each appointment, patients have the potential to earn and accumulate tickets that are redeemable for gift cards, movie tix, etc. if their teeth are nice and clean, no broken brackets, on time, etc. As another way of showing client appreciation, they have fun drawings, themed games, an annual event at a local pool, etc. It has been a joy to work with Dr Silcox and his team. They took such good care of me and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed. They let me choose the music that would be playing throughout the whole procedure even so I would be under anesthesia. After I woke up I couldn't stop thanking them and complimenting them, even though I was high and completely out of it.
