Michael knew everything about all of the fireworks and as first time buyers and users of fireworks we were super nervous because people really get hurt using them. Michael made me feel like I was a PRO by the time I left there! I live about 35 mins away from the store and the one in my town was closed so I had to make the trek out to Grayson and let me tell you based on the customer service from Matthew I will gladly drive 35 mins every time just for the superb treatment. If he isn't a manager already he needs to be one and he deserves a raise because he truly knows how to treat a customer. I even had my little boy with me and he kept him entertained and excited for the fireworks show we will be doing later. Let's also not forget how sweet and warm Ashley was! They have all the zany between inning gags as well. Sometimes there is a dog who fetches bats. A Stripers game is a good time. Concessions? Steeeeerike three. Most decent food items (bratwurst, Italian sausage, bacon jam footlong, fried Oreos, etc.) are mostly unavailable or no longer offered. On a typical game, most stands will be closed with that insipid "Gone Fishin' " sign out front. They only sell basic, rotgut, boring food most games. Cheap quality hot dogs that taste like Bar-S, frozen burger patties, etc. are what you will find. "Boneless" Chicken wings (actually nuggets) had okay sauce but were like the frozen ones from the store. Stick to chips, peanuts, Cracker Jack, King of Pops (rare), Dippin' Dots, and anything else that can't be cooked. The good news is there are a ton of restaurants nearby. Even the Costco food court is not too far away. Grab a $1.50 high quality, all beef dog and soda before the game. Eat before you go and maybe grab a snack at the park. Gwinnett is the White Sox and Rockies of concessions.

As you can imagine food & beverage are not allowed from outside the park. Staff check bags upon entry. Oh, my son got fried pickles & they were REALLY good!! They have a few activities for children; bounce house & the back lawn to run around. PLEASE be careful on the lawn- one child was hit in the face with a ball hit hot off of a bat when we were there. There is no net to stop them from getting out there. My husband saw him in a wheelchair going to medical. Yikes, I hope he's going to be OK!!! A fun night, good music & a win for the Stipers. We went with some double-shell mortars, some color-changing mortars (both with a couple that have crackles), some mini-repeaters with various effects from crackling showers to double reports and varying colors, some bottle rockets with whistles and reports, some sparklers (for mom- "They're NEON! "), and three mid-tier finale repeaters. Total number of shots acquired (not including bottle rockets or sparklers, of course)? 619 shots (32 mortars, 147 mini-mortar-repeaters, 440 repeater shots). Now, the way we got this was each of us purchased separately with our own IDs and "accounts" so that we could double-up on the use of the "buy 1 get 2 free" coupon and still use the "50% off everything" coupon. My mom used the buy 1 get 2 free" coupon for the 3 mortar boxes and a t-shirt and spent about $120. I used the buy 1 get 2 free" coupon for the three repeater finale boxes and a t-shirt and spent about $160. My sister used the "50% off everything" coupon for the 2 sparkler packs, 15 repeaters, and the bottle rockets- and spent about $60. Would I return? Yeah. The coupons made the purchases worth it. However, we had to finagle the coupon situation to make it work for us... If they'd just price things fairly from the get-go, it'd be a whole lot easier. All-in-all, figuring out what the best value for our money was took about and hour and a half of carefully shopping the store and being good at math. The $26 we spent on the obligatory t-shirts we don't care about felt wrong, but it helped us save on the mortars and the finales...so, meh? Obviously , pricing can be better, BUT overall, we came out with a decent deal...BUT WE HAD TO PUT IN THE EFFORT ON OUR SIDE. So, it was not a great shopping experience. I dread it every year.

Fountains were all I really had any experience with, but was curious about slightly larger effects, and I am so happy this place is right by my neighborhood. I was greeted immediately with multiple friendly employees. And while they all seemed eager to help, I never once felt pressured. It truly felt like each one wanted to help, and each had a good amount of knowledge. I received a quick tutorial on how to fuse effects together so I didn't have to light each firework separately. As I was checking out, I was given a free "cake" that turned out to be the perfect finale for my little backyard show American VIP that paired beautifully with a gold crackling fountain. Next year I will be back to step up my game further.

The Confederate Memorial carving on Stone Mountain is some piece of work. Cannot help but admire…read moreit. I mean a sculpture that massive carved into a mountainside is very impressive. It's even larger than the beautiful Mount Rushmore sculptures!! What the carving depicts is controversial. The Confederate Memorial is of three Confederate figures of the Civil War. Specifically they are General Robert E. Lee, General Stonewall Jackson, and President Jefferson Davis. If you remember your U.S. history, the Confederate side fought to keep slavery among other reasons. Took years to complete the carving because of various issues. A dedication ceremony took place in 1970, and the finishing touches to the Confederate Memorial were completed in 1972. The artwork is quite amazing. Because of that, I give it 4 stars.
