Dr. Shah gave me my life back!!! I was experiencing the worst chronic knee pain for the last 1.5 years. My knee got so swollen and stiff it got to the point where I couldn't walk or bend my knee back more than an inch. Every doctor and specialist I saw either didn't know what was wrong with me, told me to go back to physical therapy, or to go to pain management. Not one of them took the time to figure out what was wrong with me until I met Dr. Shah. Dr. Shah was excellent all throughout my son's surgery process from beginning to now for his broken left clavicle. I want to start off by saying that this is my first review reason being is Dr Shah was an excellent surgeon. A few weeks ago I had a terrible accident which resulted in a spiral femur fracture in my leg. I was transferred to Torrance Memorial Medical Center where I had my surgery performed by Dr Shah. He did an excellent job in repairing my femur in which it resulted in him inserting a rod with screws. After a short stay at the hospital I was discharged hime with limited or no pain at all. My recovery is going well and my leg is healing day by day. I am grateful for my surgeon and all surgeons alike. I became Dr. Shah's patient for the first time at Torrance Memorial ER in late January when I literally thought my life was completely f@cked due to my injury. From the beginning he was my advocate and made decisions that were in MY best interest i.e., he had me admitted and scheduled surgery for the following morning rather than being sent home or to transitional care as suggested by a physician on duty. I saw Dr. Shah for a knee injury I sustained in August of 2018. I had torn my MCL and my meniscus on my right knee. He has the best bedside manor for a surgeon that I have ever come across. I was impressed that he did not want to instantly "cut" into my knee. He actually recommended to not do surgery, which relieved me greatly. He was very attentive and genuinely showed concern and care with every appointment I had with him. We worked out a good physical therapy plan and guidelines for home and work with different knee braces. I am 95% back to normal in under a year. I couldn't be happier. Dr. Shah is the best orthopedist in the whole world. After three oncologists and one vascular surgeon, all decided that my issue was arthritis of the knee. Dr. Shah took the time to inject the knee, when I came back to see him with no relief he said "let's X-ray your back". He is the only one that found out that my problem was my back and not my knee. After physical therapy and an epidural, I am now walking with no pain, able to get in and out of bed, my whole life has changed. He is the most wonderful doctor in the world. Dr. Shah did knee replacements for both of my mom's knees. He was phenomenal. My mom recovered so quickly from the first full knee replacement surgery, she was eager to have to other one done. Within 3 months Dr. Shah did both surgeries for my mom. My mom loved the way Dr. Shah took care of her. He was very professional and took great care in assuring she did not get infected. Dr. Shah operated on my husband's Achilles' tendon after he tore it playing basketball. This was my husbands first time having surgery of any kind and we were both pretty worried about it. Dr. Shah was amazing with my grandma. My grandma had a very intensive surgery on her femur. She had a previous fall on the same leg a month prior needing a hip replacement, which made this surgery even harder on her and the Dr. Her surgery was not easy since the femur was not a clean break but very slanted and jagged.
