    Frozen margarita
    Johan M.

The best Mexican food I've had since moving to NYC. I would even say this place is just as good as some of the best of them in LA, San Antonio and San Diego, and is such a great value. Well worth the trip to Sunset Park. I absolutely love how they make their tacos here. The tortillas are nicely soft and warm. I almost thought they were handmade, but the server corrected me they were just purchased from a local spot. I really loved the big scoop of guacamole on the large tacos. $3.50 is an insane deal for these tacos. Shrimp taco is one of the best bites I've had in my life, get it! Everything I've had is so good here. Especially the nachos. Did I tell you beers are only $5 and margaritas are only $6.50? They also have the best frozen margaritas. Where else in NYC can you get three giant steak tacos, shrimp nachos and two margaritas for only $35?

$17.00- Red/green marinade 4/10 didn't really like the sauce, too thick $19.50- Mixed fajitas 8/10 came out great wish  there was more flavor than tomato  $5.50 (2)- Horchata is water down, they let us switch drinks and it was water down too Total: $45.75 (included tax)

Came here with friends and tried their tacos many times. I recommend their el pastor and Barbacoa taco! They give more meat than the food trucks and the price is affordable as well. Service: 4/5; the service can be a hit or miss but coming here after a long time, you'll get use to it. Overall; I would come back here and try other things as well. Tip; they accept cash & card and have bathroom as well.

randomly walked in after walking around 5th Ave. this used to be my go to spot for tacos years ago so I was very curious about the taste. I didn't really order a lot, just got rice and beans, some guac and chips, and chalupas. food was great, although the guacamole wasn't my favorite. it definitely wasn't the worst I've had so I'd give it a 7/10. service wise, the staff was very helpful and friendly. and ultimately, in terms of atmosphere, it's a family friendly restaurant. they also offer kid friendly food options. would recommend going to if you're going with a big group because it's pretty affordable:)

We had the carne Asada and shrimp cocktail. The margaritas are absolutely delicious !

Wonderful ambiance and fresh, delicious food. The margarita pitcher was a strong! Can't wait to go back.

Food was good. The taramindo margarita was something different and delish. But be warned if you suffer from heart burn, don't drink this!! Strawberry margarita was good but it's more of a crush ice margarita then frozen. Took us a while to get cups of water since the staff were too busy being attentive to orders that were being placed to go or were ordered for delivery. Overall food was good but short staffed.

A great restaurant right in Sunset Park. Gorgeous decor, amazing staff, fantastic and affordable drinks and excellent food. Nachos weren't offered while we waited for our main course, but the drinks did make up for it. The guacamole was decent, and the food services were just right. Definitely make room for dessert! I will definitely be going back!

No snickering. This is largely because of the sweet customer service. A three star review for more…read morelike two star quality. It is not saying much for a city that really lacks in Mexican cuisine. To say I did not give this restaurant a fair shake is like saying I only went to an ice cream shop and only ordered the cone. I went all out there, which is maybe why I received the service I received, or maybe it is because I sat next to what appeared to be my server's children. Whatever the case, I was treated well here. Onto the food. The Sopa Azteca (their tortilla soup) is a nice change from what I had at a previous Mexican restaurant. I would like the portion to be bigger and more meat in it, but I like the Mexican spices and the variety here. It is quite enjoyable. The Queso Fundido should be called a Queso No Divertido. It was awful to eat, with lousy flavor and texture. This is the second time I have struck out with this appetizer. It is safe to say I am done ordering it in this city. Nobody does it right. The Paella is nice, but at its core has the essence of a nice dish. Some parts are full of tremendous flavor, and some parts are dry and bland. I ate this all out of necessity, and also because once I mixed the bland with the good it actually turned into something quite pleasant. The chicken enchiladas I ordered because it would not be fair to come here and pass up something Tex-Mex as an entree. The chicken is inconsistent, well cooked in some spots, dry in others. The salsa verde has a lot of kick here, but the side salad and charro beans nearly ruin the whole thing. At least the Mexican rice is fluffy and has great flavor. Speaking Spanish to the staff helped curry points in the service department. I like family owned businesses. Everybody was busy and on point. So what if the food does not wow, I have given more, for less. Hence why this is a three star review and not a two star review.

For dinner, I ordered the quesadilla which was a bit smaller than I expected, but still delicious. Overall, the drinks and food tasted great. Every visit feels like catching up with an old friend who knows exactly how you like your salsa. That consistency is as comforting as it is rare in the city that never sleeps. Before we even flipped open the menu, they slid over complimentary chips and pico de gallo that set the bar impossibly high. The pico was bursting with bright, tangy tomatoes and cilantro, and those homemade chips were the perfect balance of crisp and salty. It was the kind of welcome that makes you cancel your other dinner plans on the spot. I went for the Taco de Birria made with brisket, and I swear the richest consomé I've ever tasted lived up to its name. Each taco got dunked into that deep, savory broth, then inhaled faster than a greased pig at a county fair. By taco number three, I was pretty sure I'd found my soulmate in molten cheese and slow-cooked meat form. 'The Man' ordered the Chicken Mole, which came with a generous scoop of rice and beans on the side. He sat back, took that first bite, and basically entered a state of pure food-induced bliss. Watching him lose track of time as he devoured every last drop of mole was its own kind of entertainment. We washed it all down with a Piña Margarita, along with another cocktail that leaned so hard into the tequila you could almost feel the agave fields. Add a Modelo on the side and you've got a drinks menu that doesn't play around. These aren't dainty sips--they're the kind that could very reasonably put hair on your chest. Service here is so personalized it's almost telepathic. We never waited more than a second for a refill or a check, and the staff felt like an invisible waitress on standby, ready to swoop in the moment we so much as blinked. We left a hefty tip without hesitation because they earned every penny. Las Margaritas on 3rd and 92nd isn't just our go-to--it's a staple. Whether we're craving tacos at home in our pajamas or settling in for a full sit-down dinner, we know they'll deliver every single time. Consider us regulars for life.
