We saw the awesome reviews so we decided to give it a try on our way out of town! Mostly because I love mexican food and this place is authentic. First of all it is a little jarring just to walk inside. It has a lot of things going on...it might deter you, but try and forge ahead. Don't look closely at the store if you are a clean freak...it might send you into a spiral. Just try to forge ahead. I had steak tacos and they were amazing! They make salsa and bring it out in a big bowl for everyone to share (everyone that day shares the bowl). If you have germ issues it might not be the place for you. However it was delicious for a quick lunch. They were very hospitable and friendly. The cleanliness of the store isn't great but the kitchen area seemed clean and orderly. This place is such a hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. One of the best chicharron tacos I've had in my life. Fresh masa tortillas, amazing housemade guac. Shabby but quaint outdoor area. Everything was made to order, so a little bit of a wait but absolutely worth it. read more

Staying at a nearby AirBnB, we passed this little corner spot and tried for a few days to stop in. Not sure if the hours are correct, but finally stopped for breakfast and weren't disappointed. They may not be speedy, but their plates are thoughtful- menudo has all the extra fixings, chilaquiles are crunchy and topped with sweet local Walla Walla onions. We took it to-go since mostly outdoor seating, and everything was packed carefully. They do have indoor seating inside their small market attached. They have been there over a decade and truly show their care for good food. Try to call ahead-they seem to have tamales available as well. Will definitely go back when in the area. read more
