We visited Fortaleza Tequila during their annual renovation, so unfortunately much of the property…read morewas closed and we were a bit limited in what we could see. That said, even with those constraints, it was still a very cool and worthwhile experience. The tequila itself is absolutely delicious -- truly top-tier. The tasting pours were generous (definitely heavy-handed in the best way), which made it easy to fully appreciate the craftsmanship and complexity behind each expression. You can immediately tell how much care and tradition goes into their process. What was open gave us a glimpse into the fascinating history of Fortaleza, and the staff did a great job sharing the story behind the brand. The campus itself is beautiful, serene, and clearly special -- even partially closed, it left a strong impression and made us want to come back when everything is fully accessible. All in all, while the timing wasn't ideal, the quality of the tequila and the experience still shined through. This is a must-visit for tequila lovers, and we'll absolutely be back to see it in full once renovations are complete. See you soon, Fortaleza.

Not only will you get to taste every bottle on hand, but they'll mix you cocktails, keep your drink refilled with your favorites, and surprise you with tastes you've never thought you'd enjoy. From start to finish, this was incredible. On the train, you'll meet people from all over the world, see the beautiful countryside, and learn everything about the fruitful agave. Upon entry, you'll get a guided tour, learn about the process, and take in the beauty of Jalisco. Don't even get me started about the food. So tasty! If that wasn't enough, there's a guy there that will engrave your bottles within seconds. Incredible souvenirs to take home. I would do this again in a second! Viva Jalisco! Viva Herradura!

Recently traveled to Guadalajara for Memorial weekend. Our group of 4 enjoyed this experience. It…read morewas wonderful getting picked up right in front of our Airbnb by Pedro and his driver. The van was very spacious and comfortable. We were joined by 4 other friendly travelers. After we left the city, our first stop was breakfast at a local place. the tacos were delicious. We then went on to an agave field where he started explaining the origin of Tequila and how it is harvested from the agave plant. It was wonderful meeting the jimador, the special travel who harvests the plant and having him show us how he works the 'cao'. We tasted tequila at two different distilleries. Pedro showed us the right way to enjoy Tequila and which brands to go for. We found it to be a very personal and enjoyable tour. The restaurant he chose for lunch turned out to be great. One of our best lunches while we were in Guadalajara. I would have liked to try the pulque but our time was cut short due to traffic headed back to the city being that it was Sunday. Would highly recommend this tour if you want to immerse yourself more in the culture.

I edited my review for the Tulum Express Tour by Amigo Tour…read more I reserved the tour through Expedia, but then we experienced trouble confirming it and obtaining our pick-up time (no answer to emails, wrong US phone number on their website)... I finally canceled my tour without fee. Then I was contacted by somebody who nicely offered to rebook me at the Expedia price (44USD vs 75USD) on their advertised "Early Access to Tulum" Tour. It was kind of confusing as the description didn't not completely match the Expedia tour, particularly the pick-up time (7am on Expedia, between 5 and 6am on their website). The pick up was relatively on time (only 15 minutes late), and the drive and visit were very pleasant. The driver Saul and the guide Ursula were very competent and professional. We were back at our hotel before 2pm as advertised.

Our Amigo tour pickup was changed at the last minute with an email notification that we would be…read morepicked up at 4:05 am instead of 4:30 am. We scrambled to get ready and then waited in our hotel lobby until after 5 am. After returning to our room, we received a phone call that Amigo had arrived, it was then almost 5:30 am. The driver laughed when we told him of our 4:05 pickup time, and indicated he was told to pick us up at 5:20 am. When we arrived at Tulum, we were expecting a tour by a trained Archiologist as they had advertised. Instead, we got a 30 minute general overview of the site. I got way more from the Wiki, and I seriously doubt he had any archeology credentials. The site itself was amazing despite the poor servive from Amigo. We had much better luck with a tour of Chichen Itza from Grayline tours a few days previous. To top off the poor service the bus that was taking us back to our hotel was too big for the narrow streets and had to drop us off well before our hotel, leaving us to walk the rest of the way.
