To my surprise, they had a few customer car parks available outside the cafe. When I mooched in, there were a handful of people having meetings or a quick coffee before work. There wasn't a lot of counter food visible; I was looking for something delicious. Options were only a sweet brioche or a sweet muffin - I went with the muffin. Service was friendly and efficient, tick! I think I need to return for longer visit and have lunch from their menu. Great addition to the Newmarket community - badly needed! Hoorah.

Coffee is great plus this cafe is licensed. The staff are really friendly and happy to accommodate changes to what is listed on the menu (eg, omitting or adding ingredients). I love coming here on a sunny day and nabbing one of the tables outside or inside at the window.

Right now I am drinking a spectacularly delicious latte (ok, maybe I just needed a caffeine hit, but it's still good!) and eating chia pudding for my breakfast. Who wouldn't!? Even early in the morning there is a display of breakfast baps, fresh pressed juices, tortilla wraps (scrambled egg and chorizo this morning), and a 'superfood' pudding - chia or sticky rice today - ready to take away. They also have a made-to-order breakfast and lunch menu. Although I haven't had a chance to try it yet, I have no doubt it would be equally delicious. If you peek in to the kitchen you'll see the team working busily preparing food for the day, but it's also spotless. But back to my love declaration. It's the coffee. Food was absolutely delicious, had the eggplant torta that was recommended by the server. I wasn't sure what to expect when I placed the order, but boy was I pleasantly surprised. Flavors all worked well, chillies provided a well balanced kick and the coriander sauce on top was lovely bow tie that pulled everything together! I liked that they were all about home made hearty cooking and baking, and all the goods that I bought and enjoyed were very tasty. The hearty beef pies with crusty delicious pastry are hot and ready to enjoy from the oven, self serve style. As are other hot pastries and also home made muffins. The coffee was great, and my boy devoured or shall I say inhaled his fluffy within seconds. I love the cute little sausage rolls which he has eaten both visits. The lady who works behind the counter is great, very friendly and helpful. It seems like the cafe is a real centre and hang out for a lot of regular locals, as I sat and enjoyed lunch lots of visitors caught up as they arrived and departed. Lots of great reading material, but I would probably recommend a few kids book might be helpful for mums like I who come with a little one in tow. There is free wifi, the coffees are really good, and they have a $6 coffee & slice deal. I just tried their waffles for the first time this weekend, and they were so, so good. But very large, so I'd suggest sharing! The waitresses are always lovely and friendly, and they're always playing piano versions of anime songs, which is an adorable quirk. Few things make me happier than good coffee, sweet treats and listening to the My Neighbour Totoro theme song!

Good strong hot coffee is on offer, and also a moderately-priced lunch menu available. I didn't get any food, but the girls next to me got a waffle with a huge amount of whipped cream on it with berry sauce, which made me get quite substantial food envy. Nice chilled acoustic music plays in the background, and is quite audible outside as there is an outside speaker. When it is too sunny or raining, they put up a cover over the courtyard, so you can still enjoy your coffee in the atmospheric, cobblestoned space outside without getting too hot or rained on.
