Meh is my feeling about this store. I like wine and hard liquor, my husband likes expensive…read morebourbon. It's a mile and a half from my house so it's convenient. Prices and selection are fine. Sometimes I'm asked if I need help, usually I'm not. Often, there's a group of people behind the checkout socializing, and I can't tell if they're employees or delivery people or vendors. The cashiers are usually friendly, but it would be nice if they provided a receipt every time without asking. Just because I can't return something doesn't mean I'm not entitled to a copy of the receipt. I went in today looking for a specific bourbon for my husband for Valentine's Day. Usually when I can't find something in the aisle, I know it's behind the counter. I showed the cashier a screenshot of the store's website, and he jokingly said "well at that price, it should be in the aisle on the right side of the aisle, and if it's not, then it's on the left." I went back to the aisle. A different version of it was there, the version I was looking for was not. I walked back to the register, saw what I was looking for right behind the first cashier. Another cashier waved me over. I jokingly said that I politely disagreed with the first cashier that what I was looking for was in the aisle, and she said well, no actually, he's not wrong, the bigger bottles are in the aisle, and we have smaller bottles back here and she showed me a different (incorrect version), to which I responded for her to just please look behind him, the one that I'm looking for, is literally right there. She turns. Oh hey, I was right. No acknowledgment that I was right. So I guess next time I want a $72 bottle of bourbon, I'll drive down to Viscount or Arlington Wine & liquor. The reward program here is a joke; I spend several hundred dollars a year and I'm lucky to get a dollar or two off every so often. If the employees are too busy socializing and don't even know what they stock, I'll just spend my money elsewhere.

Predominately budget brands, magnums, and California wines make up the majority of the wine. Wines from Oregon Argentina France Spain Italy and Portugal are represented but on a smaller scale. I was very happy to see a good Rosé selection, even though it's winter. Extensive liquor selection as well and range from low to high end brands. They even have gift items. Prices are reasonable and they have some wines I haven't seen locally before - which is a plus for me. Very friendly staff and manager. They have a free membership program. Discounts available if you buy a case but also if you buy three bottles of one wine varietal which is a real plus! They have many tastings Thurs- Sunday and if you buy only one bottle of what is being tasted you also get the three bottle discount price! Happy to have them so close by. I'll be a regular customer.

Great pairings different options you do not normally find at the average liquor store. The staff was not pushy or snooty they were helpful, knowledgeable and kind. While I'm no Luddite when it comes to wine they were impressive with their help and recommendations on pairings my wines with specific foods and ways I normally would not have done but they were right. Kudo's you have a new regular customer. I've been back 6 times and enjoying the experience each time. The place is hospitable clean. Why do I say this, isn't that what's expected. I wish most places are dark dingy and dusty and the wine bottles are covered in dust. This place has attention to detail down pat. It's so bribe and clean in there I am impressed on every level. I tried calling a few Liquor Stores, before speaking with Terrence at Merchant Wines & failed miserably. Terrence is a new hero to me now! Honestly, I've tried moving a pic to here. Nope. Part of my crap leftover mood, from past few weeks! Terrence didn't have any problems with me asking him questions about the tequila he had available or Knew about, nor about the Tequila I was looking for. He even Knew about the Mescal I was looking for! It's never available in States! Holy you know what here! WoW! He had none of the Mescal, but spoke with me at length about the Tequila he had. I told him my spending range & he told me what he had & Could Deliver To Me Too! WoW! What a difference A Phone Call makes!!! To a different Store! Add Terrence, et voila! Magic happens! I settled on expensive-expensive Tequila, written twice on purpose here lol. It is, but damnnn is it delish! It arrived within the hour. About 20 years ago I quit drinking. Couldn't stand taste or smells of alcohol! Alcohol is empty calories, just like fake foods. So, I just quit drinking. Wasn't hard, just smelling it on others. Yuck. Sorry. In other words, this was my 1st alcohol in 20 years. Yup. Now do you understand why 3 sips?! But, I did drink outta bottle like a pirate! Fun. Terrence went to trouble of explaining the distillation process of tequila, I was now panting for, to me. Guess he couldn't hear me panting lol. He was not only Professional, he was Kind & Patient! Funny too. I was cussing like a sailor yesterday! I took my fowl (lol foul, I know! Ok?!) language muzzle off! He just said, "Not a problem!" Each time, I apologized for my language muzzle being off completely! A gentleman too! Holy moly-diff word wants out badly now! Nope! I'm serious! He couldn't have been more perfect if he'd tried! Not kidding here! He "warned" me, about how the tequila was processed to be clear. He explained that it might have lost some of its earthy flavors in this process. While I may not have been drinking, doesn't mean I haven't been keeping abreast of Industry! Well, not just abreast lol. Nevermind me plz! Nope! I even called him back after 1st sip & told him it was soo good. Yumm I'd completely forgotten how absolutely lovely numb can feel. Especially for a few minutes! I love being Alive, but, please forgive my language here-You were warned! Life ain't for puzies! I guess unless you're a cat. Pbtt. Numb is ok, if done under my unblinking eyes lol.
