My first experience was with 'Dr. Bob'. He doesn't listen to his patient and, he hard sells…read moreimplants. I got the distinct impression that that particular service is how ABC makes their money. I made an appointment with the other dentist, Dr. Brent. I asked for a bridge, and that is what he started for me. My insurance was billed the max it would pay, $1,500 in May, and so was I. The bill for the temporary, and permanent bridge, was completely paid in full, in advance. Dr. Bob hijacked the last appointment I had made, with Dr. Brent, (the temporary he made broke, once , and I pulled it off the second time, because I got an infection, I was anxiously awaiting the permanent) Bob told me they were not going to make the permanent one, because 'in his opinion,' it would not be satisfactory. He was back to his snakeoil fix all, implants. When he realized that I had no money for implants, he decided I needed the second most trumatic procedure done ... dentures. (Keep in mind, the permanent bridge I had already planned for, wanted, AND HAD ALREADY PAID FOR 7 MONTHS EARLIER by my insurance company, and my co-pay of $1,492.00 out of pocket; and he REFUSED TO DO IT! (Is he c ethically, and morally allowed to do that? He said the money the insurance and I had both paid, already for the bridge, could easily just be 'reallocated' for another procedure, the dentures. Hmmnn... I was so upset that he refused to give me what I had wanted, that I explained I needed time to adjust. to the idea of ALL MY TEETH being pulled. This doubt of his prfessional opinion aggravated him.. He told me I needed a root canal anyway, because of the infection. He also said he wouldn't /couldnt do anything for me that day, to put me out of pain or treat me for the infection, both he and his book keeper said it would be illegal for him to work on me at all, since I now had Caresource, and no longer had the unsurance he had ALREADY CHARGED,, for work HE HAD NOT DONE! As a side note, I have to explain how embarrassed by my teeth, I have grinded then down so far, and c were actually missing the ones I needed the to bridge to replace. This has been a goal of mine to get then fixed for years. I was SO happy thatI had both decent insurance, and the hefty co-pay. I would finally stop being self-conscious on how I was speaking, or talking. Because I had no choice, he already had the money, I decided to get the dentures in December, and just put the nightmare of my teeth behind me. When I called to make the appointment, and this is when his office manager told me he couldn't work on me at all, as it would be illegal, because I had Caresource. I reminded her that nothing had anything to do with Caresource, was already paid for! She said it didn't matter, he couldn't do it if I had Caresource. Then I was upset, and reminded her no one had thought it was illegal to get paid for work he hadn't done. She said she would ask him if he would do it then, he amazingly enough, said he would. My appointment was in December. When we were solidifying this, his bookeeper said it was only for upper denture, (Why should have I been surprised?) and I said l thought it was both; then said I would just talk to him about it. I was called the next week and told he didn't want me as a patient anymore! I was flabberghasted. I almost cried. When I asked why, she said she didn't know, but I begged her to find out why, what had I done? She said she wrote him a note in between appointments, and that he just that he didn't want me as anymore. Once again, I was on the verge of crying. All I wanted was for my teeth to be fixed, and I had paid him to do that. When I asked about the money, she said.he would give the insurance money back to them , and give me $792 of the $1,492 and he was keeping mine for lab costs! Doesn't insurance pay lab costs too? I have NOTHING to show from my 7 months of dentrisry other than an infectipn. They wouldn't even repair the temporary , that broke. Just patch it and glue it back vin! I would take this review down which could obviously lose new patients who decide to bypass this nightmare, and will always be suspicious when he 'suggest' implants, also when he wants to be paid 'upfront'.. I don't want to be unfair, I want the dentures. I am fine with those, since they seemed the best for him. I will also be filing wirh The BBB unless my teeth are fixed, which I think is fair.

I am very pleased with my experience at this dental office. I live in California and needed to come…read morein and get a tooth checked out. They got me in quickly and everyone was very kind and welcoming. Dr. Bob took his time with me and explained everything. He answered all of my questions thoroughly. He was very knowledgeable and talked about my gums and bone health as well. I really appreciated that because with my experiences in other offices dentists don't always mention about the foundation for your teeth. I have family in the dental field and being familiar with them I think that Dr. Bob is very well rounded and his caliber of work is excellent. Thank you Dr. Bob and your staff.
