First, I attempted to call a few times and the phone would make this loud beeping noise and I was unable to get through to anyone. As a result of not getting through to anyone, I decided to fill out the contact form with the hopes of scheduling a consultation. After not hearing from anyone, I decided to continue my CPA search. A week later, I received an email stating he was sorry and they would have someone look into the phone situation. I decided to give him a call and still give the company a chance. When he answered the phone, he appear very rushed but said we could schedule a consultation for Friday at 10AM via phone (he would call). Friday at 10AM came and I did not receive any calls. To say the least, I was very disappointed to have to start my search all over again. I had high hopes for the company based on the reviews. Hopefully the communication improves. As far as their actual services, I can't provide feedback as I didn't get that far.

She was in a complete different office and every time she came back and asked questions she seemed bothered and just gave horrible customer service. I needed a letter that stated income information and they gave me the run around for over TWO MONTHS! Didn't get the letter, didn't get a call back. James Chestnut's firm took money for filing taxes from 2014 to 2022. It was for a non-profit. He…read moremet each year and he took money but did not provide the proper service and never told us there was any problem with the tax filing. It was a simple filing. Later, when applying for a grant, in 2023, a rejection notice came back and the organization explained that we did not receive the grant because the non-profit had not been in operation since 2017. This was shocking and upsetting to find out the nonprofit was no longer valid due to failure to file taxes. When looking into this matter, there was no mistake on our part. The mistake was trusting this company to guide and file the yearly taxes. James was quick to take the money but does not take responsibility for his failure and he passes the buck to his employees. He took advantage of an organization and person who do not know the first thing about these taxes and then he bullied and avoids taking responsibility for his failure. If he doesn't give back what he stole from the non-profit, for promised tax filing and neglect in his services (excluding the grant money that was lost), then there will be no other choice than to file more complaints regarding his organization or to take legal action for compensation....including the lost grant money.. We would also seek compensation for the trauma suffered at the hands of such irresponsible behavior. All the money he took and yet failed to file the taxes properly must be returned. Hopefully, he will learn from this and never let it happen again. It is very upsetting and we are still working through the fall out...which takes precious time and energy away from the non-profit. James must make it right by providing a full refund for the 9 years he or his "staff" did not file. He needs to make it right.

It's difficult to understand how the regulators allow them to keep in business. If you call them to, for example, change a retirement plan from an employer, they keep their call center so understaffed as there are typically 30-45 people in the queue ahead of you. It will take ALL DAY holding on the telephone simply to reach them. If you email them, their response time is measured in WEEKS. If companies select them because they think they can affordably outsource HR & payroll, it will be so alienating that employees will leave rather than work with them.
