You can now walk from Eastvale Community Park at Hamner through River Walk Park and down to Archibald, a total round trip of 5.2 miles. Unfortunately, there has been so many kids out there racing E-bikes during the past year it is getting increasingly difficult to safely take a walk with my dog along this trail. Recently JCSD has put up 20 miles per hour speed limit signs that say yield to pedestrians and some mirrors to help see around sharp turns. 20 mile per hour speed limit might be an okay speed limit on the straight parts of the trail, but 20 miles per hour isn't at all safe around the sharp turns. I have had to jump in the bushes and pull my dog off the trail several times from E-bikes racing around a curve in the trail.

The older kids were so sweet and friendly to her, and would stop the spinning area for her to get on and off and would go slow when she was on. There's 4 pickleball courts and some benches on both sides of the enclosed court. The kids also brought their basketball, scooters, bikes, carts and were able to ride around the park and play on the basketball courts. The gender neutral restrooms were nice and clean. The shaded picnic area has tables with attached benches, some bbq grills, hot coal disposal bins and trash cans. There's a good amount of parking spaces with handicap spaces right in front. Highly recommend coming here before more people notice and becomes crowded!

Went here for July 4th and had a good time…read more There was free parking at the nearby church and also paid parking at the park, but since there would be a 30 mins. delay to get out of the paid parking to let pedestrians through after the fireworks, I opted for the free parking even though it was a further walk. It was annoying trying to get to the parking lot itself because almost all the ways Google Maps was telling me to get there was blocked off. I understand that they were trying to funnel people into one entrance, but when you have to make several detours trying to get to just one place, it gets really irritating. Anyway, once we were there, food trucks and porta potties were neatly lined up and there were also inflatable playgrounds for the kids to play at that you had to sign a waiver for. Food selection was good. I was happy there were a couple of vegan/vegetarian selections. I highly recommend bringing an umbrella and bottles of water because even though we came late in the afternoon, the sun was still blazing and people were hiding in the shade of the trees. The park is huge, so there's plenty of space to spread out and even if you leave your spot several times like we did, there's always a new spot to find which is just as good as the last one. There was a stage with live bands playing 80s to 90s music with intervals of recorded present day music. I'm fairly sure the woman who sang in the first band sang the national anthem and she was amazing! There was a section in front of the stage roped off as a dance floor and it was fun seeing everyone from a cute elderly couple to parents with kids dancing and enjoying themselves. The fireworks are right behind the stage and because we chose to sit right up front close to the stage, right behind the roped off dance floor, we could just lay down on our towels and watch the fireworks which is easier on the neck. Since we came a little before 5 when they officially opened and entertainment is basically just listening to the live band, eating, drinking, and people watching I admit there were times when I wish we had come a little later because it is a long 4 hour wait, but still it was a nice day to be outside sitting or laying down on the grass on a beautiful Friday afternoon, which like the announcer had said was a gift to us since some countries have neither the luxury or freedom to do so. Overall, it was a good experience. It's very family oriented, safe, casual and relaxed.

We have been playing soccer games here for the past 10 years. The parking is atrocious, they have…read morenice-ish fields and a fun playground. The restrooms are never clean or well maintained, ie clogged toilets, no toilet paper, no working sinks. The big field at the front where the older kids play is ridiculous with their big kicks, the ball is always flying towards that parking lot or over the back hill. All in all, it's definitely one of the more average-ish fields we play at, but the actual fields themselves are pretty well maintained.

The park is great, lots of space. Big fields for baseball, soccer, football, field hockey, or…read morewhatever else. Bathrooms are kept clean, plenty of parking. The only thing is the parking lot lighting here is really bad and for how big the parking lot is, there's not enough adequate lighting and/or brightness associated with the lights. Very dim lit they cannot cover everything. My friend told me peoples cars were getting broken into around here because she came up here one day during the day and saw shattered glass on the ground. She gathered it must have happened overnight I can now see that now with how dim the lights are. I had left my car here to go with my friend to grab something to eat nearby, and came back to pick it car up and the lot was almost pitched black. This was at 8:30pm. The park was all but empty. Not good at all. I mean whenever you're in a dark parking lot you're just having your head on a swivel and it ain't about being paranoid either. They really need to look into fixing the lighting around here. This is not good for park goers and it isn't safe, especially for a lady by herself jogging or whatever else. It was dark around the entire park too. The fields were very dark. I'm actually shocked and surprised how inadequate the lighting is here. This city does have money. They can figure this out and make the parking lot brighter at night for safety reasons.

The last few times I've been here to run since the park is nice and big and it's always well lit. The weekend tents to get very busy with all the sports going on. They have plenty of clean restrooms, skate park, baseball, soccer fields. It would be helpful if they had a separate playground at the opposite side of the park. Overall it's a good park, it's safe and clean.
