This only happened after 3 or 4 months of not having issues and they were never able to fix it. I ended up cancelling my policy due to having to, every month, call and complain that I couldn't pay online and explain the issue, then paying through a live rep. I was contacted on August 21 by the representative handling my claim. She took my statement and said she had not spoken with the policyholder. I have a police report stating their driver was at fault, along with videos of the driver and both vehicles, plus photos and videos of police at the scene. Gainsco told me there were issues with the policy but would not explain what they were\. I contacted the local insurance office and confirmed that he had been a customer for years, that his policy was active at the time of the accident, and that it does not expire until next year\. Based on this information, I am concerned that Gainsco is not handling this matter transparently. Gainsco advised me not to repair my vehicle because they would not cover the claim unless they spoke with their driver. I was also told they would not cover my medical bills and that I should file through my own insurance, which could leave me responsible for my deductible. I have repeatedly requested a supervisor call me, but no one has. The representative handling my claim has also been extremely unprofessional. During one conversation, she went silent and **hung up on me. When I called back, she admitted she could hear me. I am extremely disappointed with Gainsco's lack of communication, professionalism, and accountability. I am now considering hiring an attorney because I am completely over this.
