I ordered an arrangement for my sister's birthday. When she sent the picture to thank me, it was absolutely awful. It looked nothing like what we ordered (the flowers themselves and the color assortment), was mainly fillers, and looked thrown together haphazardly. I spoke to customer service twice and kept getting the run around that "they were looking into it" instead of just making it right and sending my sister a better arrangement. (They kept claiming they had the wrong number on file for me even when I corrected them when they read it back the first time we spoke.) When they finally got back in touch about a way forward, they wouldn't send a new arrangement, and instead their ultimate solution was to refund me as long as they could pick up the old arrangement from her house? Wanted to support small business, but I've had better experiences with Bouqs, 1-800-Flowers. and others. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I ordered one of their "Extravagant" arrangements for our wedding anniversary, but what arrived was anything but extravagant. The arrangement was significantly smaller than the one pictured on their website, and several of the flowers were already wilting upon arrival. I contacted customer service to address the issue, but the online support Bot repeatedly responded that nothing could be done because the order was supposedly outside the seven-day resolution window. Ironically, I placed the order on a Monday and reached out the following Monday. After several frustrating exchanges with the bot, I requested assistance from a human representative. To their credit, I was eventually connected with one. Unfortunately, the representative was just as unhelpful and showed little interest in resolving the issue. I wasn't asking for much--simply some acknowledgment of the disappointment and a small gesture of goodwill. Instead, my concerns were dismissed. What was most disappointing, however, was the company's response. The website prominently advertises a "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" without any stated conditions or limitations. Relying on that promise, I requested a refund after the bouquet failed to meet my expectations. My request was denied, and no replacement, partial credit, store credit, or other accommodation was offered. To me, a satisfaction guarantee should mean that if a customer is genuinely dissatisfied--especially after spending $153 on flowers for a milestone 45th anniversary--the company will make a reasonable effort to make things right. In this case, that did not happen. The flowers did not last as expected, and the advertised satisfaction guarantee proved meaningless when I attempted to use it. Horrible. Their customer service is conduct by ai, and I only realized that it was ai after I called multiple times and they told me that's why nothing was working or making sense. It's completely unacceptable to have ai conducting customer service without a human even reviewing it. I was trying to find my new florist on the east coast, and I was excited to try this business again after last year went great. But it botched the entire interaction, gave me incorrect information, wasted my time, accomplished nothing, and I still had to spend an hour with all the calls and emails to deal with the fallout. When I expressed that this was challenging, they didn't offer a partial refund or a coupon or anything. I like to think I'm good with searching on the internet but this time was a miss, but also a hit! I live in upstate NY and was searching for a florist in Buffalo, NY to send flowers to a funeral service. James Cress Florist came up in the search and I did not look at the address before I selected my flowers. I did not realize they are located in Long Island and after paying for my order I wondered how that was going to work with delivering the flowers on time - it's at least a 7 hour car ride! After ordering I received an email confirmation with a phone number and email for questions. I emailed right away with my delivery concern. The next morning I also called the store in Smithtown, NY. I explained my situation and concern and the lovely person who answered the phone (sorry I cannot remember her name) assured me the flowers would be there on time and look very similar to what I had ordered online. The floral team works with a network of florists and has a partner in Amherst. I felt relieved after this call. I also received an email a short time later providing similar comforting information. The funeral was the next day. I arrived to find the beautiful standing spray arrangement located near the casket, having arrived well on time, with the card and message. While it is different from the picture on the website it was still lovely! I am so appreciative of the James Cress team and their network. The flowers were perfect and the family appreciated them. We would not hesitate to use James Cress Florists again. Thank you! read more

There was no artistry, structure, or resemblance in design, color, or flowers. It looked like loose grocery store flowers placed into a large vase, which is unacceptable for the price. Customer service made the situation worse. It took multiple emails just to receive an apology. When I requested a refund, I was told it would only be issued if the florist picked up the arrangement from the recipient's home. I agreed just to resolve the issue. Despite complying, I was later told the refund could not be processed because they were having issues communicating with their florist. I ordered a Fields of Europe Summer--Extra Large x 1 Extra large. What I got was a medium may be large. It was supposed to be the $90 bouquet, but I should not have paid more than 69 for it. So they pocketed the difference. This company is located in New York. I was charged 4 DIFFERENT TYPES OF TAXES. Subtotal: $89.99 Shipping $17.99, San Diego County Tax $0.22, Carpinteria City Tax $1.12, Santa Barbara County District Tax Sp $0.45 San Diego Co Local Tax Sl $0.90, California State Tax $5.40 Total: $116.07 USD San Diego is nowhere near Santa Barbara. I was not advised of any of these charges until the transaction was complete. The flowers are pretty, but they are not what I purchased. They were delivered on time. But that is the only plus. I ordered flowers for mothers day. Instead of going to the big named flower delivery services I decided to give my business to the smaller guys. Well that failed. I ordered a week in advance and when the time came, nothing was delivered. I called them directly and was put on hold for 10 mins. I hung up and called again. I got somebody right away. They forgot about me. When I inquired about my order, they said it was cancelled due to not having resources to fulfill the order. I never received a notice. They said they are using new software and will inform the IT department about it. I don't care. My mother did not get her flowers. Never again will I use a smaller company. They use some kind of algorithm to fake the location you searched for, so you THINK they are local. ---then they whip out their INSTACART app and order your flowers from whatever local grocery store has a floral department in the town you searched for. ---if the hungover 19 yr old filling the order screws up or just DOESN'T deliver the order, there's not much James Cress florist can do about it!
