I have had James Kate Roofing out to my house several times, twice for leaks and twice for inspections. When we had a horizontal rain several years past, I nearly had my sheetrock collapse near my chimney. Called James Kate, and they not only repaired my entire chimney, but also pointed out five leaks...two by the builder, and three more by previous re-roofs by different companies due to incorrectly installed flashing. Earlier this year, I noticed a ceiling discoloration in the front living area. Again, due to incorrectly installed flashing. They not only repaired everything, but also put in thermal barrier under the shingles. Hopefully won't need a roof replacement soon, but will call James Kate if that occurs. read more

This was my second experience with James Kaye Roofing and Solar and their contactor Daniel. Daniel was very professional he knew right away what my problem was. The leaves had collected in a section over the garage causing water to back up under the shingles which caused water to run off into the garage. Not only did Daniel give me an estimate to fix the problem he got up on the roof with his blower and blew the leaves off so, if it rains again, I will know for sure that the problem was the result of the leaves and not hail damage. James Kate Construction's worker trashed, damaged my 2 years old gutter screens and a gutter has fallen off in 4 months. They're demanding payment for work not done on my house from the insurance company. I pay my home insurance to insurance my house is repaired not to just give the money to some company. I've paid James Kate Construction over $18,000. I've worked with this company for several months to fix the issues that the company caused to my gutter screen. They sent someone to my home while I was at work attempting to get on my roof without my consent or knowledge. On 1/7/2022, I received a letter saying they would fix my gutter screens that they trashed and damaged at a additional fee. This is my experience. Beware. read more

Daniel Franco was our point of contact. We we referred to this business by another roofing company was recommended to us, because the first trusted business was too busy to take us on without a significant delay. We had a visit within a few days and had agreed to the scope of work within two more. Our expectation was that it would be several weeks to get supplies and get on schedule, based on recent work with different contractors. Within a week of the signed contract the work was complete. The actual on site work took less than two days, and we were pleased with a reasonable price point and the respect that the roofer gave us and out property. They offer very reasonable prices and were able to repair my roof within a day or two of me initially contacting them. I couldn't believe how great their service was. I called just before lunch yesterday because recent storms had knocked off several of my shingles. Before I could even finish my lunch Ramone was knocking on my door with a huge smile. He didn't waste any of my time and simply told me he would inspect my entire roof and repair any damage he found. I heard a ton of hammering, then after about 20 minutes he knocks again and said I was good to go! I don't usually write reviews, but after years of calling companies and waiting days for them to respond (if they ever do)..I felt compelled to let everyone know that there are still companies like this that care about their customers. He fought hard for us with the insurance company to get what we deserved and work with me ok the pricing. I got lucky when I called James Kate Construction to do repairs on my roof. I sold a rental home and the inspection showed that I needed repairs on the roof. Unfortunately I live out of state and flew in but would only be there for 3 days. I called on the first day late in the afternoon, explained my situation and they said someone would be out the next morning. Bryan showed up early the next morning as scheduled, looked at the roof and gave me a really competitive price. The problem is that I wanted it completed before I left and asked if he could do it the next day. Given the situation he said he would get out early before the other jobs scheduled so that could happen. He showed early, did a great job and was finished that afternoon as promised. We hit it off so good (he is a super nice guy) that I invited him to stay at my house if he was every in CA. I can't recommend this company more. After the storm on 10-2-14, I noticed I had some shingles blown off the roof. Not sure on the extent of the damage and my concern to have it checked out quickly, I went to James Kate's contact us page and filled in my info and message around 10pm. Within minutes!!!, Dustin Eatman replied back and we set up a time to come out the next morning. Early the next morning, he observed the damage, spoke with my wife while he was there, and also gave me a call to discuss what needed to be done. The following morning, he came out and fixed it. His work and customer service are excellent. He was extremely nice and professional. As far as I know, you can't be more competitive with quality of service and price. I will also mention that I put messages out to several other local roofers via their contact us pages (since we live in a web based world) and Dustin was the only one to ever reply back, and to think about how quickly he responded was amazing. I own a small business and I understand the importance of quality work and genuine customer service and I have to say I was MORE THAN IMPRESSED.
