I tried contacting the office and was told the person handling our account was gone for the weekend. This was 2 pm on Friday. Called Monday and was told the person who handled the account was not the one handling the closing. Got transferred to someone else who said they couldn't get the paperwork done in time because they were busy with other work. It's obvious that Polk County Abstract is poorly run and doesn't care about customer service. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, and neither hand is doing much of anything. Look elsewhere for your title work. These folks will waste your time and money.

We ordered a survey on a property we we buying and was quoted an estimate price of $1200.00 plus tax and if it would be any more it was only be $100.00. Well when they finally finished the survey six weeks later they wanted to charge us more than $700.00 for the whole survey. A more than a 50% increase in price without any explanation. When my agent and myself called the office for an explanation we were met with pure hostility from the person answering the phone. She yelled at us and acted like a child speaking over me while I explained to her what the quote stated. She refused my explanation and as of now the complaint refuses to release the survey to me. I'm currently an out of state resident but as soon as we move to Tx we will be taking this company to court in order to recoup our expenses. AGAIN DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON AT ALL

Hired this company to survey a lot we were considering buying. After receiving the survey and upon…read morefurther research we determined that a utility easement shown on the survey no longer was valid, but a sewer easement that they did not show on the survey in fact crossed the property in such a location as to significantly lower the value the lot. When I contacted the company about making the correction, which I was prepared to pay for, I was treated very rudely and was told all the reasons they were not responsible. When I suggested they contact the city attorney about the matter so as to get the survey correct the person I spoke with refused to even consider it. As so done who has used a number of surveyors over the years I can assure you this is the only time I have dealt with one who responded in this fashion.
