Their prices are comparable to Lowes, HD, Tractor Supply etc (sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less) and they manage to stock an incredible inventory of hardware, tools, electrical, plumbing, lumber & building supplies, farm supplies, paint, crockery, seasonal plants, on and on -- even many items only available by special order at the big-boxes. Where else can you pick up a scythe or a shepherd's crook? They will rent you anything from a skid steer to a metal detector. If you need help you get it instantly instead of wandering around the aisles looking for someone. And your money stays local -- not a penny siphoned off to pay corporate vice presidents or shareholders.

The Wooden Chair had it in stock and the C'ville dealer was going to make me wait 12 weeks. I found the staff very helpful and nice to deal with. They are not the type of folks that will give you a free coke, want to be your best friend and then overcharge you.

My mother-in-law took her Stihl blower in to have the primer bulb replaced. That was all it needed. That was all she wanted done. What they did to her blower was criminal. Not only did they not replace the primer bulb as she had ask, they broke the throttle lever off the carburetor when they dis-assembled it. Why they dis-assembled her blower to replace an easily accessible primer bulb is beyond any conceivable explanation or understanding. When she went in to pick up her blower after being told it was ready, she was handed a bag of parts, and a bill for fifty some dollars. They had the nerve to tell her (after they broke the carburetor) it needed a new carburetor, and it was going to cost as much to repair the blower as it would be to purchase a new one. Then they charged her fifty some dollars for their "fine" service. All it needed was a primer bulb! You can see in the attached photo the condition in which they returned her blower. If legible, the broken throttle lever pieces are circled in the photo. Unbelievable!!! Had this happened to me, these people would be in court making reparations for the damage they caused. This is truly criminal taking advantage of a person in this manner. If I heard one day someone burned them out, I just might have to smile.

All I did was asked a valid question as to why I did not get 50% of $149.98, which is what my necklace was listed for. Instead, I got $67.49, which was 50% of $134.98. I would have expected $74.99. I was told by the lady who works there that sometimes the owner gives a special discount to regular customers. I was fine with her answer and that should have been the end of that The next day, I got a call from the owner telling me that he was told that I was upset when I called to ask about the difference. I emphasized to him that I was not upset. I was only wondering about the difference. He explained to me just like what the lady said to me the day before. He also said that that was on him giving that kind of discount to his customer. He then said that they seem to always be doing something wrong by me and that they should return my stuff to me. I felt like I was being punished for having asked a valid question. When I first started the consignment with them, they had lost a couple of my stuff, and they compensated me for them, which was well and good. They even said that they hoped that I was going to continue consigning with them. So, we moved on. Back in July, I noticed that a storage box that I had dropped off for consignment was no where to be seen, this box would have been hard to miss. It was not there but was still showing as available in my 'available' list. I brought it up with them on the day they returned my stuff to me, and the owner said that I dropped it off on 7/10, and it was sold and paid out within a couple of weeks, I think. Anyway, if it was paid out, it was not to me. The pay out must have accidentally gone to someone else. I had also brought up with the owner, when we talked on the phone, that I seemed to have been missing a necklace. I brought 4 necklaces, and only 3 were accounted for. When I got back from my vacation to pick up my stuff, somehow the missing necklace has appeared. I did not bother to ask where it was since they were already returning my stuff. I did not want nor expect to be banned from consigning. All I did was asked a valid question. I didn't think it was fair that they did that to me. I really enjoyed shopping at their store. I think that it should have been up to me to make that decision to discontinue doing business with them if I thought they weren't doing right by me. It is really sad and unfortunate this happened. Now it just really makes me sad to drive by there and not go any more.

This store is HUGE with tons of great stuff - I think it's like 3500 sq. feet or something. They have small collectibles, lamps, candles, some drapery (small amount), and TONS of handmade Amish furniture. Prices are fair for some good quality stuff. I spent around $600 for an end table, a magazine table, a custom computer desk, a large bookshelf and a pretty good sized bench. We took everything that day except the computer desk which is going to be made to order (with the colors my mom chose) and will take about 4-6 weeks. I was impressed - I saw a lot of really cute things in here and they have TONS of furniture in different sizes and options - kitchen tables, benches, chairs, tables, end tables, beds, nightstands, tv stands, cabinets, kitchen shelves, display tables, display cabinets, bookshelves, etc. You name it - you can probably find it here. They don't deliver yet - but they will help you load your car if you need to. I'm sure we'll be back and spend tons of money here...

My friend that was with me found two really nice pairs of winter boots at a good price, which she was looking for. On the furniture and home decor side, I found a couple of cute seasonal decor things at a good price and my friend also found some things for her new home. Everything is very clean, very boutique looking, and a very organized. The people who waited on us were very friendly.
