Dr. Tooley is awesome, he always fits me in when I'm sick, when other doctors say they can see me in two months. He cured my plantar fasciitis. He listens. He's open a wide range of hours so I can make it after work. The office staff are never short or rude they are kind and seem happy. I would work for him if I wanted to be in office. You can stay in your car and they'll call you on your phone when he's ready to see you. read more

Always check your chart to see if you are taking any new medication would not have a bad reaction with what he Prescribs. It used to be very easy to see him when he was independent, never more than a day out to schedule an appointment, and usually same day appointments were available. He joined a corporation, no longer takes Ambetter, and now there is like a month plus wait to make an appointment. Unacceptable for a PCP. Looking elsewhere. read more

I'm so saddened to write this negative review. I have been a patient of Dr. Tooley's for well over a decade. I've almost always been able to get a same or next business day appointment with him for acute illnesses. Now he has moved to Optimum. Today, I called to try to get one of those appointments for a sinus infection. All I need is some antibiotics. I was told (after being on hold for a sub optimal amount of time), that he had no appointments til the end of the month. Gone is the small office with the old time, small town doctor (in a good way!!) feel. Gone is me as a patient of his. I'm truly sad as I appreciated Dr. Tooley's common sense approach to medicine and his compassionate patient care. His patients will suffer due to this move. read more

This guys squeezes with both thumbs right into a pooled blood pocket and then says yeah you might have some broken toes. I have a broken ankle!!! I called in advance explained I was scheduling to have a mammogram.(CHECKED INSURANCE COVERAGE). When I got to my scheduled mammogram appointment I was told Dr Tooley's office did not fax over an order and the company faxed him a request 3 days prior. When I called Dr Tooley office from Radiology Limited the receptionist said she couldn't give me a time when she would push a button to fax over the "order". hint...co-pay for a "Tooly order". At the Least, they could have said I needed to go in for the "mammogram-order" when i called the first time. I had to rescedule my mammogram because there has to be an "order" from a doctor. Doc Tooley always seems to have time to listen to what you have to say. He treats with care and can do adjustments when necessary. His staff is efficient and courteous. I have recently switched doctors after putting up with Tooley for two years. To start with it is the least welcoming office I have ever been to. In all the times I have gone in the desk staff has never even said hello! It's always can I help you sign in. At one time I needed a letter for my reasonable accommodation at work after waiting 5 days for a call and never receiving one I drove to the office on my lunch break only to be told it still wasn't done! I waited an hour to get two sentences on the page that they tried to charge me $30 dollars for. Recently I went in for an issue that was causing my prior medical issues to flare up. When I stated that to the doctor he asked if I was being treated for it...YES YOU ARE THE ONE WHO HAS BEEN TREATING ME FOR TWO YEARS! After that visit I have not been back and unless I'm dragged in by wild horses I never will. read more

Dr. Tooley was professional and attentive. I hadn't had blood work done for a while. He wrote me an order and told me to make a follow up appointment in 2 weeks. I have been seeing Dr. Tooley for over 30 years. When I was a young man he found a lump that turned out to be cancer and because it was caught early, I was cured. He has always been very caring. For a while I had to move away from the area for work and tried several other doctors and was not impressed. When I moved back to the Tucson area I was very pleased to be able to see him again. DON'T WAST YOUR TIME HERE.....LOOK FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR THAT REALLY CARES ABOUT YOU!!! I agree with many of the negative comments. I have NEVER even had a "hello" from the office staff when entering the office. Very poor customer service to say the least. As far as Dr. Tooley, nice guy but that's it! He never diagnosed what my problem was even though X-Ray's showed him back in the 1st part of the year. I felt like I was extremely going down hill and he never once seemed concerned or tried to get to the bottom of things. Although he did refer me to another doctor, it was for the WRONG diagnosis! The original X-ray would have showed that if Dr. Tooley would have taken time to look it over. As I got worse and worse over the months, and going to doctor and doctor, back to my family doctor over and over, I finally could not tolerate the pain any more and went to the Mayo Clinic. Within 1/2 hour, it was diagnosed and surgery was planned. I am now doing better but no thanks to this doctor, I did it on my own!!!!!!!! What a wasted several months of my life. Dr Tooley left me hanging waiting for a referral for 2 months and then passes the buck and refused to take responsibility for the lack of communication. Dr. Tooley is lazy, and apathetic. He's happy to leave you waiting for an hour past your appointment time and rush you out. His skills at chiropractic have actually hurt me rather than healed me in the past. And today was the last straw, when in severe (and new pain) from my MS, he gives me a muscle relaxer instead of the pain medicine I asked for, only as a temporary solution until I could get in with my Neurologist in 2 weeks. His excuse for denying my very simple and legitimate request was that he doesn't 'do that'. When the reality of the situation is he hands pain pills out like candy. Those pills aren't meant to be handed out like candy, yet when someone comes in with genuine pain resulting in not being able to work for 2 days, he can't be bothered to help. I won't ever go back there. If you are looking for a doctor that listens to you, responds accordingly, and actually gives a shit- I would recommend you seek care elsewhere. read more

I'm not sure what to think at this point. I haven't seen a doc for about 20yrs. I went to this guy based on the ratings of yelpers. I had a few issues I wanted to talk over and I felt really blown off. He came into the office with an intern and asked a couple of questions, took my blood pressure and got me out of there without asking if I had any other concerns besides my main issue saying I should get a blood test for a couple of things and sent me off in 5minutes w/a prescription and a referral. Btw, the way he wrote the prescription and tossed it over the desk to the lady that works for him was extremely arrogant and ignorant, like he didn't care for either of us also saying to me to call him if I have any concerns with a wink. Then my insurance is supposed to cover the cost of a physical and she said the co pay was needed because he saw me for something specific. I said he didn't test me for anything and she said she make sure he coded it that way so I didn't have to pay. He says to f/u w/him in 2 weeks and told the lady about lab work I needed, which I got no paperwork for and don't know when I'm supposed to be seen at a lab? In my honest opinion, a doctor should ask you if you have other concerns without rushing you! MAYBE I'll give this doc another chance after labwork. I just get the feeling he is too blunt and wouldn't be sensitive to anyone who is really sick, like it's their fault. read more

!.5 hr wait @1st visit. Spent 5-10min w/me. Scheduled for followup physical 8AM as he schedules 3 patients at a time, 1st sign in 1st to be seen. Explains packed waiting room. Physical 5-10min - greeted me "HEY SWEETIE". Failed to go over sonogram he ordered, listened to my chest, thumped my stomach & left room. Needed 3 RX's filled. Took 3 weeks for office to fax RX to my mail order company. Staff appear overwhelmed. This is a factory of greed and poor patient care. Would give -stars if able. Worst doctor I've ever seen. Do not go to this doctor unless you want to be ripped off. I went to the office for a flu shot and they billed my insurance company for an Allergic Rhinitis. Their billing office is complete incompetent and was not able to correct this. Not only did I get to waste hours on the phone with the insurance company as well as the doctors office, they are threatening me to submit this for collection and ruin my credit history. He is terrible. Treats the practice like a factory trying to patients in and out as fast as possible. I tried to ask more questions and he just starts walking out the room. Shows no interest in helping you as a patient and wants to prescribe something before I can even finish describing my medical problems. No personal connection whatsoever. I have just moved to Tucson and Dr Tooley was recommended. I called and received an appointment within a few days. I have been suffering from intense sacro-iliac inflammation for 7 months, unable to walk at times. I have had every treatment modality, traditional and non-traditional. Dr Tooley examined me, injected my joint and did a manipulation. Within days I m 98% pain free, able to walk, bike and swim. He is quick and you have to be proactive about asking questions as he is a very busy doc. But when I brought up other issues he sat back to listen and did not seem irritated. A patient for over 5 years, He mentioned that I had high blood pressure and chlorestoral and that I should watch what I eat. Never once in that 5 years did he in his 5 minutes allotted per visit time suggest that I a man in his 70"s have an artery scan for plaque build up. The result was that I had a stroke and am now paralyzed on my left side. read more
