Dr. James Campbell has given me hope again. I'm in constant pain due to some unexpected tragic events acquired brain injury and p.t.s.d. I've become accustomed to my pain like second nature. Doctor said we are going to start to say goodbye to your pain and not carry it around anymore. His words & program project he set forth for me have helped my brain fogging clear up I just started so I'll keep you up to date but this far I have faith and high hopes in feeling much better. Hyperbarics with decompressions including adjustments and kinesiology with my vitamins. Is definitely a good start. I'm already seeing a thinking better, less pain difference in me. I call him my "brujo" means witch doctor because he's giftedly good. Highly recommend this place when hope is all lost. Bottom Line: please stay away unless you want to be chastised for not coming in. I went in for cash pay spinal decompression for a cervical herniated disc. Off the bat, the front desk's tone came off as unprofessional, abrupt, and condescending in a very subtle manner. I expect more friendliness and finesse, especially if I have to pay $250 for a session. The visit felt like Dr. Campbell was lecturing the whole time, all while tacking on supplements and pillows to buy. After the decompression, my neck didn't agree with the movements and I was in pain all day. Opting to not continue the treatment (potentially 20 sessions), scheduled for 5 days a week at $150 a pop cash pay only, I left a message on the weekends to cancel ahead of time. The Chiropractor called back "advising" or talking straight for 3 minutes, convincing me to stay on the treatment. His logic for continuing treatment made sense, but his tone turned me off. Perhaps, I'm off the mark at reading this office's intentions; however, their concern for your care (starting from the check in desk to every movement through the office), is motivated by the punching in of your PIN number at the front desk (they are oh so friendly when you do that action). During the phone conversation, the topper was when I politely refused to come in again (exercising my entitlement to not experience any more pain when I'm taking a chance on a unsubstantiated/ unresearched form of machine therapy in the medical community), Dr. Campbell chastised my decision by focusing and deferring to himself, his feelings, and his knowledge, by saying he was "disappointed". Wow. Please don't scold your patients. I know many M.D.s, and that is a "No, No" despite the feeling to do so. Yes, you may think you know better than me, but you are not the utmost authority on my condition. Even a more highly accredited Harvard neurosurgeon is not the utmost authority. You must respect the will of the patient. Instead, his persuasion came off as very "I missing out on potentially thousands of dollars of income from this patient, so I will bully her into coming in." Again, you might get a different experience, but bedside manner is paramount for patient faith in anyone's skills. If it were possible to give a negative star, I would. Jim Campbell is completely incompetent as a chiropractor and person. The initial visit will consist of him trying to convince you that you are on your deathbed unless you purchase a ton of useless vitamins that he has no knowledge of. He then tries to convince you that you need a magic pillow along with some shoe inserts. If you don't agree to purchase these items, he becomes upset, condescending and dismissive of your symptoms. The next objective is to try and convince you that you have to see him three to five times a week for eight weeks. The purpose of this is so that you will need to reorder the vitamins, of course. You feel cheated every time you leave his office because your purse is that much lighter with no positive benefits. He will spend three to five minutes of "adjusting" you, all the while, thinking if the office staff is running your credit card. The turn over of the office staff is also something that is quite noticeable. It probably has something to do with them feeling terrible about what they have to tell patients in regard to billing. I have discussed this so-called chiropractor with legitimate chiropractors in town and the responses are always the same: "con-artist", "scam-artist", "pillow salesman", "vitamin pusher", etc. My hope is that this review helps others to steer clear of this con-man. I regret not having read ALL the reviews that were posted and only read the ones that were completed by "friends." One of the requests he makes is that you complete a positive review for him on yelp, zoc doc, etc. Any "positive review" that he has is not a true indication of him as a person or legitimate chiropractor. read more

Most thorough chiropractor I've ever been too. I have had back issues since I was fifteen years old and as you can image I've been to many chiropractors over the 23 years since I injured my back. I phoned this company to find out how much they charged for a hyperbaric oxygen chamber session and I was informed it was $125 (local competition is half that price) and I had to have a consultation with a Chiropractor first for an additional $125.00. How ridiculous!!! I'm pretty sure this type of treatment is outside the realm of a Chiropractor's license and that customers can make their own decision as to whether or not they want to try this type of therapy. If I could give negative stars, that's what this place would get! Campbell is nothing short of a crook and should have his license revoked! Overtreating is the name of his game. Don't even walk through the door - he'll probably charge you for the air that you breathe! I now go to Align Chiro where their aim is to treat you and make you better - not harangue you to come in 3 times a week when you don't need to. And, even though he sent me for an MRI which showed that every disc in in neck is bulging, he continued to do rotational treatment on my neck! Be warned - this guy is DANGEROUS! read more

I went in with the idea that chiropractors are mostly quacks so I was already skeptical. I found Dr. Campbell to be very professional and thourough. He requested a bunch of X-rays, I thought to myself is it really necessary but I went ahead and got it done. And was glad I did. He was spot on, on his diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Campbell is a unique and talented chiropractor. He has offered me a lot more than just a good back cracking. His knowledge of nutrition using muscle testing at first seems odd, but it is quite amazing. It allows him to find your unique nutritional needs, where most doctors use generic research or trends that they apply to everyone. Dr. Campbell is truly amazing! I am thankful for his knowledge of the spinal system and his incredible ability to diagnose and prescribe treatment for my back related pain. The staff is courteous and accommodating. Six weeks ago I walked into his office unable to stand up straight with severe pain in my leg. After a few treatments using state of the art Decompression Therapy combined with chiropractic adjustments I am able to stand up straight and I'm pain free. What a joke! I went to see Dr. Campbell due to severe pain. It cost me $450.00 for the initial consultation and x-rays. He talked down to me and my husband when we asked questions, putting off a tone of "how dare you speak, I'm the Dr., I don't have time for this" Really???? He tried pushing "his" recommended supplements (ours weren't good enough, because "we just dumb non-educated morons" Duh,,,,,). I swear this is how he came off. Then, he didn't even tell me what my problems were! Just "come back tomorrow and we'll go over my findings and the treatment plan, for an additional $50.00, which will more than likely be adjustments 3X per week, possible MRI", (HE DIDN'T LOOK AT THE X-RAYS YET)!! Also, he told us we'd have to purchase a special pillow, and shoe levelers, etc. My husband stated to Dr. Campbell that I have a good pillow. His reply "Oh, (huff), bring it in"! All I have to say about this entire experience is "WOW"! I'm not saying Dr. Campbell doesn't know what he is doing. I am saying he has no personable qualities that I feel are a MUST when working with hurting, sick people. I used Dr Jim Campbell for 6 years. During that time he treated 6 other friends and or family members. Every year I used all my beneifts with my insurance for care and then paid out of pocket for the remaining care for the year. ($$$thousands$$$) Today he sued me for a fictious $40.00 balance. I even have a Gift Certificate for $20.00 for my last referal, which his office manager refused to apply to this ficticious balance. I appeared in small claims court and it was dismissed. When I tried to discuss the rudeness of his office manager a year ago with the Dr. he did nothing about it. Our health care is a mess anyway, but to realize that this doctor spent court filling fees, cost for a licensed attorney and our Judicial systems time over a fictious $40.00 bill. If I hadnt appeared in court the judgement would have been in his favor for over $500.00. Be careful if you still decide to use him. I wouldnt recommend it. read more
