Dr. Nikogosian is TOP NOTCH! I sought his care for my child with autism and mold toxicity after many years of pursuing biomedical treatment. His care for my child really stands apart from the other practitioners we've seen over the years, including the very top MAPS- certified doctors in the country. Through my journey I have gained a lot of expertise in the biomedical treatment of autism symptoms and I can say that his recommendations are the best there is. His reports are very detailed and thorough. The supplements he recommends are the very best in terms of quality, but also from the perspective of ease of administration for a child. Now, if this is your first biomedical consult, you might be overwhelmed by the number of supplements he recommends. The way I look at it is he puts everything on the table so you can take over as Dr. Mom/Dad. This saves you money. Other practitioners might make things simple by offering one supplement recommendation per visit, but you have to keep going back to pay them more. This is my second review, I tried to make an appointment for months winter and spring of 2020 through the summer; my calls and emails were never returned so I left a review. I was quoted at $600 for the first consultation. After a few months I received this message here on Yelp: Hi Amy, I just read your review and I am very sorry you were unable to get your questions answered. We provide whatever paperwork is necessary to get your FSA to pick up the cost of the consult. We did have some staffing issues several months ago and it sounds like that may have been the time you were trying to connect with the office. We have one person up front and she rarely answers the phone immediately however she is very good about calling back if you leave a message. I am bursting at the seams with gratitude and happiness right now and I just have to give kudos to Dr. Nikogosian as he has truly been instrumental in my ongoing journey to regaining my quality of life!!! Without going into all of the details of my issues I will just say that after getting some sort of virus 2.5 years ago my life was flipped upside down. Most of my issues have revolved around nonstop varying levels of sensory distortions. Feeling a sense of movement when there is none, feeling improper weight/pressure being put on my body that doesn't match reality, "hot spots" on my skin that move around and don't match reality, tinnitus and auditory distortions, flashing and glitters in my vision or seeing things tilting when they're not, and so on. I saw Dr. Nic in mid August when I was suffering from respiratory distress and needed help to get relief and heal whatever was causing it. I've been working with Functional Medicine Doctor's for over 30 years both on the East Coast and on the West Coast. I chose Dr. Nic due to high yelp ratings and the fact that he was an internist plus practiced functional medicine. His cost for his services is over 50% higher than the average Functional Medicine doctors in Nevada. He also asks for the $800 paid in full and upfront before you even get to meet him on the fist visit. After the initial consultation where he diagnosed me with GERD, he said I would have a follow up email with his assessment and a link to some remedies I could order to help my current condition the following day. It took a week to receive an email from him which amounted to nothing more than his voice notes of the exam. Unlike the other functional medicine practitioner's, the exam was more of a feel good conversation than a true medical exam. He suggested I purchase a nutrition evaluation test, a blood test and a hair test to get a full assessment of my current state, even though he assumed I only had GERD at current state. The blood test that he ordered when confirming with my other doctor appeared to be excessive in nature, but said he may have a reason for ordering them. It turned out that I did not have GERD but a respiratory infection which caused issues with my heart. I had to learn that from another doctor. That doctor reviewed and explained my blood results before I even had a call back letting me know that my blood results were in by Dr Nic or his one person staff. When I asked what the follow up was going to be for the blood work he ordered, he said if I didn't buy the other two tests he would not give the results from his perspective on my health. When I asked if I paid for the other two tests would he be discussing the results for all tests as part of the initial exam/tests that cost $800 (which was just a series of questions) and he said no, it would cost another $350 for him to tell me the results in a follow up appointment. I want to warn others who cannot afford this ridiculous amount of money, which may have been worth it for a doctor who actually provided medical service/value. If you are in need of a true doctor, don't use this guy. Find a real doctor who cares more about your health and immediate needs or pain than filling his pockets and making you wait for weeks to respond to your needs. If there was a below a zero rating I would choose that, what a waste of time and money! read more

My husband and I had been searching for a very long time for a doctor who truly understood our young child. We are so extremely grateful that we found Dr Nikogosian. He is not only extremely knowledgeable he truly cares about his patients. We have never met a doctor like him, there needs to be more Dr Nikogosian's in this world. With some doctors/medical professionals we have met with in the past, we had always been pressured to purchase treatments and supplements right away from their office. Out of desperation, I looked into functional medicine, to help uncover the root cause of my digestive issues. Dr. Nikogosian is one of a few physicians in Nevada practicing this type of medicine. Despite his less than impressive educational background (American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine), I decided to book a consultation. He ordered a hand full of labs, which were very expensive. After the lab results were ready, I called to request the copies for my own records. I was told by Brooke, that I would have to book a follow-up appointment, before they would forward the results to me. This infuriated me. What type of physician would withhold lab results unless I booked another appointment. I could understand if I was wanting the labs interpreted, but I wanted to review them before a follow up. Do yourself a favor and think twice before trusting him with your health. I also question the positive reviews on this site. They were posted on the same day and all coincidentally referenced the other negative review. I wouldn't be surprised if his office was creating fake accounts to boost his rating. Recommendation for Dr Nikogoshian; My family and I have personally known and highly respect DR. Nikogoshian for over 15 years now and we continue to refer as many patients as possible to his practice. His knowledge of functional medicine, biomedical sciences and his knowledge and experiences with autism are second to no one. Dr. Nikogoshian does much more than regular MD's, he has an intimate knowledge of modern biological principles, genetic testing and uses the patient-centered approach as a whole person considering the unique genetic makeup of each patient which does include all types of alternative medicines having an intimate knowledge of modern biological principles. I respect the fact that DR. Nikogoshian spends much more time with us researching and learning many other factors such as a patient's mind, body and spirit, let's face it this has been done miracles for thousands of years. He also integrates the newest and best medical practices with medicines, supplements, detoxification, and therapeutic diets and programs but so much more. I personally know that Dr. Nikogoshian gave up a huge salaried position running a large medical institution so that he can get back down to the basics of combining natural sciences and the latest technologies in functional medicines. I heard about Dr. Nikogosian from a friend of mine who was having health problems that couldn't get figured out with other doctors. Dr. Nikogosian helped her tremendously and since I was having similar symptoms as my friend and also couldn't get any doctors to listen to me, take me seriously, or find the source of the problem, I decided to give Dr. Nikogosian a try. My first visit with Dr. Niko was in early 2018 and I could tell right from the start that he knows his stuff! (I am a person who does a lot of research and also had already been to a lot of doctors, so I can tell when a doctor is on top of his game.)
