While very nice, subcontractor oversight was not in the wheelhouse of our team--for example, permitting $10,000 of landscape work we didn't approve (no bid, no communication with us about the proposed scope of work). Very poor communication with both the subcontractor and us, their client. We confirmed we would pay for the third-party landscape services, but simply asked them to oversee some problems arising out of the work. Instead, they summarily terminated our contract by email, stating they didn't have the ability to provide the level of service we needed. Then they offered to discuss by phone. Not a very professional approach to terminating a relationship. And while we appreciated their acknowledgment that they couldn't handle managing our property, the company shouldn't take on new clients if they don't have the bandwidth to provide the services promised on their website or when pitching their services during an interview. I'm sure they are fine for handyman work if you don't need real hands-on, professional estate management. We have property managers in two other cities who are amazing, so this second-tier company was a huge disappointment.
