In our latest trip to England we encountered this amazing restaurant in London the way we found this place was a little funny we followed the smell of garlic sauce shrimp, literally. My husband and I we love garlic shrimp and while we were vacationing in LOndon we wanted to try authentic Spaniard food we yelped this place and once we arrived in the neighborhood we just followed the smell of shrimps in garlic sauce it was delicious. I really need to recommend the seafood paella, the tortilla española, garlic shrimp and brisket de ternera omg this place was delicious. I will say it was one of the best meals we had while we were in London. Whenever we go back to the UK this is one of the places that I will go back for sure read more

Popped in on our way to Regent Park for a quick bite and a beer and Jamón Jamón really delivered. We ordered chorizo, pulpo, and an ensalada mixta. Topped off with a few cold Estrellas and we were happy! Food and service were authentically Spanish (not like an uninspiring Londonwait staff... sorry!). Bathrooms were clean too! "I'm gonna eat you little fishy!" is what I was singing in Red Dwarf style to my dinner here. Granted I think that the several glasses of the cheapest red wine probably reduced my performance level but over all I gave a good show! Okay the tapas here is divine, I repeat divine. They even have a better than average select of veggie dishes, which is rare for Tapas. The food was tasty, the cheapest wine was worth every penny, the service was helpful and fast. Apart from the late night drunk revelers who end up in here and can ruin the atmosphere this has to be one of my top London eats. I hadn't heard about Jamon Jamon but my friend and I had some time to kill one night before heading off to The Jazz Cafe, and we were both hungry, and that was that! I think it was a Thursday night that we went, about 7pm and the place was quite empty which was a shame because it is quite a large restaurant and it looks like it has the potential to get quite lively. We shared a bottle of house rioja (they have plenty of riojas on the menu, which made me happy). The house was only about £13.00 and it was really good, better than most house wines. I also liked the fact that there was a Spanish guitar player noodling away in the corner, although I wish it hadn't been just me who was clapping after he finished! The food that we had was pleasant enough. I have since seen bad reviews of this place on other websites, but I enjoyed my food. I didn't exactly feel like I was eating from a back street tapas bar in Madrid, but I certainly wouldn't complain. The portions were quite substantial for tapas sizes - I had a tortilla, some chicken and rice, and vegetables in a tomato sauce, and it only came to about £15.00 a head, including our wine. read more

Let me preface by saying that I'm a newbie when it comes to Spanish food and tapas, this is only perhaps the second or third time I have ever had this style of food so I'm not rating based on authenticity or anything but simply on my experience. First off - when I go to any new restaurant, first impressions are very important to me. CHECK. Jamon Jamon looks hip, the atmosphere looks fun, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming! We came late one night towards closing time and the staff who welcomed us informed us when the kitchen and bar would be closing but welcomed us to stay and enjoy our food past those times if we needed. The food was also amazing. The Spanish were onto something with this serving small portions of great food to share with the great tasting drinks. Prices were also fair for what we were served. Stepped into Jamon Jamon Camden after shopping at Camden market. Pros: FREE WIFI (as a tourist this is mighty important), great atmosphere, and wide selection of tapas (vegetarian, seafood, and a variety of meat) and drinks. Cons: Waitstaff isn't really attentive. The food runner spent more time with us than the waitress did. The food was ok...nothing spectacular. After our meal the waitress stood over me waiting for me to give her my card. It felt like she was rushing us to pay so we would leave. Probably won't come here again. read more

Jamon Jamon could be effectively renamed Rijoa Rijoa in my book, considering I skipped the cured meats and went straight for the fermented grapes... but what's new? After a long day at the Camden Crawl, this tiny tapas bar was a lifesaver to four starving yelpers, and we blinded the servers with our tapas-eating science. To be honest, it was more like an all out carnage, I personally destroyed a few baskets of bread, and Lizzie nearly yelped her pants when a bowl of finger fish appeared on the table. (I called it bait and kept drinking, but the others seemed equally pleased.) Well, I had better tapas... but then i was in Spain at the time! Jamon Jamon impressed me from the "Yelp" sticker on their front window to their tolerance of my pigeon Spanish to their lovely and authentically priced coffee. Lamb chops good. Calamari gooooood! Croquettes amaaaazing! Go there, tapas it up. Take your phrase book and fumble your way through your date before you.. erm.. fumble your date (not sure where i'm going with this). Honestly, i am not sure if the food really is as good as i remember, as the cocktails served at Jamon Jamon are much more than a treat they are dangerous. However, i have had a lot of meals at this Tapas restaurant and i enjoyed myself everytime. The food is fresh and delicious, prices are alright too, therefore nothing to complain about. I love the quite trance music in the background and the palmtrees at the end of the restaurant. The waitresses are lovely, they once opend their doors for us 15 min before closing and we got everything we asked for on the menu. so overall great place obviously best visited in a big group so that it gets cheaper and you get to try everything of the menu ( there are a lot of choices ) they also have a good deal on Paella for two for 18 (if i remember right) which is good, although i havent tried it yet it so i am not promising anything on the quality. You should definately go for the cocktails tho. read more

I like it! It's a nice and unassuming place with great tapas. We went there on a Monday night so got 30% off food - which is great news! The atmosphere can suit for catch up with friends (even a large group), a date or anything else you like. Service was very quick and friendly. The only thing that I didn't like is grilled sardines - way too many big bones and doesn't taste nice but the rest of the food - patatas bravas, chorizo, grilled peppers with cheese and pork medallions were delicious! read more

Very average, bordering on disappointing, meal this. It began with a jug of sangria aptly described by the previous sentence. It was overly sweet with the suspicious fizziness of ample amounts of soda thrown in, despite coming highly recommended by the server. I would stick to a bottle of wine here. We had a variety of tapas, of which the gambas al ajillo were the best. Others, including pulpo and pimientos de padrón, were okay, but by no means memorable. The octopus was slightly over cooked and came on a bed of clearly reheated potato-cake, which I have never seen before in Spain. The patatas bravas was also pretty bland, and mushy in texture. The worst was the grilled lamb chop special. The meat itself had been cooked far too long, and had then been smothered in a dull and unappetising greenish 'sauce'. It tasted like a version of a moorish dish, but gone wrong. On the upside, service was quick, and polite, and the ambiance was nice and boisterous. It's too bad the food was disappointing. There are too many other great tapas bars in the city to return here. read more

The more and more I think about it, it seems that the rating of a place depends a lot on many factors, one of the top factors being your company and the ambience of the place. It was my friends birthday and she had reserved a table for ten, good positioning of the table as we were at the back and could see everything and everyone. We had a mixture of Vegetarian Paella and Seafood Paella, I tried both and they were both very descent. The seafood one especially had massive prawns and a good serving of them (which is always good). We had red wine, rioja, and shared (as it commands) some other tapas. The highlight of the night was at the end and what gives this place a higher rating than I would have. One of my friends had brought a cake and the staff came out singing very loudly and joyfully 'Feliz Cumpleanos' (Happy Birthday!) We all joined in and the crowd cheered gleefully. Adding to it my friend's very red cheeks! Before we left the waiter came over with a very long wooden shot holder and gave each of us a shot of 'Crema de Valencia', a sort of milky, coconut drink...this just paved the way for the night ahead. read more

I only came here one evening with a friend when we were out and about the area one Saturday night. Feeling peckish we decided to pop into Jamon Jamon as from the outside it looked bustling and lively, and as we were starving we thought we'd give it ago. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is a narrow long space, but the skylight makes it seem more spacious. The atmosphere is casual and carefree and we felt immediately relaxed. We ordered a jug of Sangria to get things started, and dived into a range of tasty tapas. We ordered the tortilla espanola (Spanish omelette) which was done alright, though you have to bare in mind a good tortilla can be quite hard to make. The chorizo came in thick slices, basking in olive oil and red wine and the albondigas (meat balls) were made at just the right size. Then came the gambas al ajillo ( garlic prawns) which came sizzling in a clay dish and laden with garlic oil, which was then soaked up by thick cuts of bread. All in all, a very decent meal. I can imagine the food in this place, like a lot of places which serve tapas can be hit and miss. But overall it is a place worth going back to. The tapas ranges from £4.15 to £6.55. read more

Jamon Jamon is an averagely priced, mediocre Spanish tapas bar situated bang in the middle of Camden's busy Parkway. A neighbourhood tapas joint without much of an atmosphere, it is a good place to go for a glass of wine before the cinema or the Jazz Cafe, as the restaurant's drink is definitely better than its food. The menu offers a wide selection of typical dishes- paella, patatas bravas, meat platters and tortilla, but nothing stands out of note. I've enjoyed some lovely laidback lunches here as well as an evening that became more and more relaxing as the red wine flowed. The staff are friendly, although maybe not the most efficient I've ever stumbled across. It's not a place where I would want to be in a hurry for my food. The food is tasty and of a reasonable size, especially the paella. It's not the most adventurous place but it serves all the usual dishes one would expect to a standard which is good but not outstanding. Great for a date or for larger groups, it feels very cool to be in here in summer, under the retractable roof at the back. Definitely a restaurant I go to for the social and casual vibe inside rather than the food as such. The lunch deals are good value. read more

I cannot fault the food I had at this restaurant, the paella was really, really tasty as was the sangria. However, instead of waiting 30-40 minutes for our main course we had to wait an hour and 15 minutes. It really wasn't acceptable and they were lucky we didn't walk out. The waiter tried to keep us sweet by giving us a free order of olives but alas, no one in our party liked them. It's a shame because I quite liked the restaurant. It feels quite authentic and the staff are very nice. Just avoid going if there are lots of large parties in there because chances are, you will be sat waiting a while. read more

I seem to have had an entirely different experience from Madameso. I've only eaten here twice, but have had extremely friendly service on both occasions. Notably so. Admittedly it hasn't been that prompt, but amiable all the same. I particularly like the retractable roof in summer and the restaurant has quite a relaxed, chilled-out feel. There's a fairly comprehensive tapas menu, and while the food isn't amazing, it's not bad either. It's reasonably priced, too, think I spent £15 for a selection of tapas, wine and beer. We had high hopes for Jamón Jamón due to the great website and funky location in Camden. However, it was not to be. Our server was great. Other than that, we were disappointed. The croquetas were small (1-inch) circular shaped with a weird sauce (unnecessary?) served in their fryer. They were not good, overcooked, and without the texture you want in a good croqueta. The delicias de bacalao (fried cod) was better, but still left a lot to be desired. The wine list was very limited and we had trouble selecting something decent from the list. There are lots of decently priced, interesting, and delicious wines from Spain. How hard is it to obtain some of these for your Spanish restaurant? The ensalada mixta was lacking interesting features such as tuna, asparagus, and dressing. The dressing helped once we got it, but not much. read more

Came here on a Monday night for their 2 for 1 tapas deal - great deal! We got 6 dishes total between the two of us (we love to eat) and had some leftovers for takeaway. Would recommend the Mushrooms in garlic and olive oil with parsley, and the Grilled Cod topped with garlic mayonnaise and red pepper. Yummy! Food mixed - mussels overcooked with a crunchy celery sauce poured as an afterthought poor. Jamon croquetas excellent, the other dishes so so. Wine good value. Overall meal reasonable value. Our waitress was in a terrible mood, yet with 12.5% added automatically there's no incentive to cheer up: indeed she forgot the drinks and merrily chatted to colleague whilst holding the bill we were clearly waiting for. We walked in here quite late at night, as our restaurant of choice had a long wait still. However, we were pleasantly surprised and quite happy with our accidental choice. Although the fried tapas were a bit on the oily side, the sautéed ones were fantastic. The Jamon portion was generous and quite tasty as well. We will certainly be back! read more

The food was nice. Although served as platas so it should say exactly that on the menue. There were some food rather overpriced, but mostly if you know what you are ordering it's alright. There could be a deal offered if you are coming with a group of friends and want to share platas. Despite that, pretty well. The venue it's alright too, although at times a bit overcrowded. I do understand the owner though, the place is popular so they are trying to do their best. Service very good, everyone was very helpful or at least tried to help to explain the features of some dishes that were new to some of us. read more

I visited this restaurant today(easter):nice atmosphere and friendly staff.We ordered a jug of sangria,pollo al ajillos,cured jamon and polpetas de jamon,everything was nice but really small portions for that price...I'm not expecting fast food prices but the dishes are a little bit overpriced.At the end we ordered churros and crema Catalana,I recommend the second one(if is not prepared properly can taste like burnt sugar),but this one was really nice! read more

A great place visited here many times in the last 4-5 years and always had good food. One minor problem with the restaurant is it's inconsistency. Sometimes the food is fantastic other times the food is very good.. either way you would go home happy but if only it would also be at it's best! :) I really like the staff in this place. They are casual but always helpful, fun and take care of you. I would imagine the style wouldn't suit everyone but I think it really works. The only other negative is the whole restaurant feels like it could do with a little refresh: bit of paint, new menus etc that's the only reason I would give it 4/5 instead of 5/5 Pricing is decent, around £5/6 for each dish. AS some other reviewers stated: the food isn't ground breaking but it has all the classic dishes all very well put together.
