Jane knows her stuff. We felt so lucky to have her on our team during our homebuying process. This is our first home and Jane was there every step of the way to make sure we had all the information we needed to make good decisions, and to ensure that we felt comfortable. She was quick to respond to our concerns and thoroughly researched issues to make sure she was giving us accurate and up-to-date information. Many realtors push their agenda onto their clients, but Jane really was our advocate. She wasn't in it to "win," but rather to negotiate our wishes. Jane reviewed every document for accuracy. She is honest and not afraid to tell it like it is, which is so helpful during the negotiation process. When my name was misspelled on a document, she hounded the title company until they got it right (which took several tries). When wording was inserted into the contract that implied a potentially massive liability on our part, she insisted that it be tweaked. Jane went above and beyond what was required of her. For example, she not only recommended a capable contractor to do some work for us before we moved in, she also contacted him, obtained a quote, and scheduled the workday. Wow, where do I start? How about this was the easiest home buying experience I've ever had. Well, it was the only home buying experience I've ever had, but it was still easy, and that's thanks to Jane. My girlfriend and I currently live in Los Angeles, and we're fed up with this place. So, over the past few months we've been plotting a new destination--Austin. We first contacted Jane over Thanksgiving. We told her that we were coming to Austin on a short trip and we really wanted to make an offer while we were there. Jane sounded confident over the phone that our goal would be realized. So we decided to roll with her. During the week from Thanksgiving leading up to our arrival in Austin, Jane was absolutely on the ball. Her and I corresponded every day and we put together a list of every possible place that fit our wants and needs. She then went and thoroughly checked out every one these places prior to our arrival. Once we arrived, Jane in person was everything you could possibly ask for in a realtor. She was friendly, honest, informative, bright, and very organized. We ended up seeing two days worth of listings on that first day and had a good time in the process. By our second day in Austin, we had a low, medium, and high price point option that we felt more than comfortable to make an offer on. On our third day, we opted to make an offer on our mid-price point option. Jane relayed to the seller our short schedule in town and was able to get their counter offer back to us that day. We accepted the counter offer as it was the amount in which Jane predicted we could get prior to our first offer. Friday evening we accepted their offer. Jane then arranged to have an inspection on Saturday morning so we could be there during that process (we were scheduled to leave Sunday). I'm not a savvy home buyer, but that seemed like a pretty clutch performance to be able to bring in an inspector in that short of time. Sam the inspector was great, he explained himself very well and you could tell was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. It's been a little over two weeks since I first contacted Jane and we are about a week away from closing. Thanks to Jane, my girlfriend and I will be out of the hideous city of LA and into a beautiful South Austin condo in less time than anyone could possibly imagine. Working with Jane was a dream. Buying my first house in this aggressive Austin market was no joke, and she was just great. From making sure that I understood my options, to taking me around to see COUNTLESS properties until I figured out what I really wanted, Jane was never anything but patient. I'm an active duty Army officer and was looking for a real estate agent that was familiar with the VA Loan. The application for this loan can be somewhat involved and it's important that the properties you're looking at are VA approved. For these reasons I needed to find a very competent real estate agent and Jane was just that! I contacted Jane hoping to find a centrally located home that I would be able to rent for above my mortgage when I eventually have to change duty stations. I have known and trusted Jane for years. Recently she listed my home and negotiated a full price offer in less than 24 hours, plus a back-up contract at full price. That was the easy part. The appraiser used inappropriate comps; apparently due to inexperience but the comps that were used were from miles away in a much less desirable neighborhood. Jane prepared a full rebuttal and backed it up with a list of comps that were appropriate for the appraisal. The buyers had multiple issues with their lender caused by trouble classifying the house because it has a free standing studio, which I pretty typical for the neighborhood. In any case, the entire process was delayed and was stressful for everyone until the final moment. Jane handles everything with complete professionalism and confidence and was always there fining solutions for every obstacle put in our path. I strongly recommend Jane!
