Made an appointment with Dr. Lebow. She was my doctor 20 years ago but then she dropped my insurance. Now they accept my insurance so why not get checked out? My appointment is for 11.30 let's see how long it takes to be seen. Didn't have to wait too long and it was nice seeing DR Lebow. My visit was good and I walked out with a mammogram script. Dismissive and Unprofessional Perimenopause Care I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Jane Matos Fraebel specifically to discuss hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for symptoms that are related to perimenopause. Before the appointment, I made it clear to both the front desk and her assistant that I was not coming in for a Pap smear because I receive my routine gynecologic care from my primary doctor. I even brought a copy of my normal Pap results from a little over a year ago. Unfortunately, the visit was one of the worst medical experiences I've had. Before taking the time to understand my symptoms, medical history, or menstrual cycle, Dr. Fraebel immediately dismissed the possibility of perimenopause because I am in my early 40's. Perimenopause can begin as early as the mid-30s, so dismissing it based on age alone was shocking. She refused to have a meaningful discussion about HRT and instead tried to recommend a supplement. When I asked what ingredients were in it and how it worked, she couldn't answer basic questions about the product she was recommending. Throughout the appointment, she was combative, dismissive, and unprofessional. I never felt heard or respected as a patient. The most shocking part came at the end of the visit. When I declined a Pap smear, she told me she "wouldn't have talked to me" if she had known I wasn't getting one. I reminded her that I had clearly stated before the appointment that I was only seeking an HRT consultation and that my Pap screening was already being managed elsewhere. She insisted that all of her patients have yearly Pap smears, even though current cervical cancer screening guidelines generally recommend longer intervals for many patients with normal results, depending on age and individual circumstances. Another frustrating issue was that the front desk repeatedly tried to collect a copay that my insurance did not require. One additional surprise was that there was a small 16 year old dog present in her office described as a service dog. Patients who have allergies, phobias, or simply expect a pet-free medical environment may want to be aware of this before scheduling. Overall, I left feeling dismissed, pressured into services I did not schedule, and no closer to getting help for the reason I came. I cannot recommend this practice to anyone seeking an open-minded, evidence-based discussion about perimenopause or HRT. It also left me with the impression that unnecessary procedures were being pushed rather than focusing on the reason for my visit. Based on my experience, I believe it's time for Dr. Fraebel to retire. read more

If I would have never made an appointment to see Dr. Matos, I would have been much happier in life. Hands down the worst bedside manner I've ever encountered from a doctor. I wish I could leave 0 stars, but alas. Dr. Matos is very condescending, insensitive, and rude. She was not willing to listen to a word I said. She made sure to tell me how tired she was from staying up late the night before. Completely inappropriate, especially as it was our first interaction. As soon as I sat down in her office, she asked me questions, and I as I would answer with an explanation, she would cut me off and tell me she wasn't ready for the explanation but just needed a short answer. There are no short answers for open-ended questions. As I told her my unfortunate family history, she quickly responded "oh you have bad genes." Talk about insensitive. I then explained my family's atypical display of the specific gene and she let me know that my geneticist didn't know about genetics. From the beginning of the appointment, she was very focused on one abnormal result I had 4 years ago. I told her I was tested 3 other times that same year to prove I had normal results and the past two years, I tested normal as well as earlier this year. She was in disbelief when I did not bring my abnormal results with me to this appointment. She mentioned it multiple times. How stupid of me. All she could focus on from this entire first conversation was scheduling me for a mri for my yearly "mammogram", although I didn't need to schedule it for another six months. I've also been getting tested for over a year now for an unexplained leg pain I've had for 13+ years. I recently moved to Florida and was looking forward to hearing a new perspective or approach for treatment for this specific pain. I was told by Dr. Matos that it is part of my normal cycle and it's just something "I will have to deal with." Just take ibuprofen everyday of my cycle and 3 days before and after. If she would have listened to me, she would know I've been using ibuprofen this way since I was 12, and it doesn't solve the long term issue. She was not willing to ask about the pain I experience or look at the tests/MRIs my other doctors performed before my move. The nurse who took my biometrics was astounded that I had to look at an app to see when my last period was. As if I was crazy not to know the exact date and time it happened. I wasn't greeted nor involved in even pleasant conversation. Had to wait over an hour after my appointment time as they are somehow extremely busy. Seems like most were new patients, like myself. The only positive interaction I had was with the front staff as I was leaving. They were extremely nice and asked me questions which led to a very pleasant conversation. I'm not sure if they could tell I was previously crying or not but they definitely made the visit tolerable. I will never go back. read more

I took off work, sat there for one hour and was never seen because GOD Dr. Matos does not do consultations, but no one told me that before. The doctor didn't even come tell me that, the staff had to go talk to GOD and then came out to let me know that she would not talk to me. WARNING! Sepsis! That's what I developed when she refused to check me at the hospital. She sent me home, only to return to emergency the next morning to deliver my precious baby boy. I lost my child at 23 weeks because of her DERELICTION OF DUTY! My son could not survive the infection. He was born having seizures and brain bleeds. WARNING! She is incompetent, selfish, and unconcerned about her patients. She presents herself as friendly, Beware! It's all a farce. Charlatan! Absolutely awful service. Brought in 88 year old grandmother to add pessary. Was inserted violently without care to where was not in the right position. Had to remove and retry it again. Same painful experience. For the third time doctor put in so strongly had to take Grandma to emergency room the next day to remove. Call to complain about it and the lady that answered said "what? they charged her for that? For just a passary? Why would we refund that?" I said okay.. she said "okay." And hung up on me. Doesn't get much more unprofessional than that while charging every time to go back to adjust and never make anything better. read more

it is unnfortunate I must share this experience in order to hopefully encourage this faculty to step into a more considerate and integral way of operating their business to support their patient's health. I came to Visit Dr. Lebow in the search for a new Gynecologist as I am new to Plantation FL. Her remarks within my consultation with her about me "not being holy" for my sexual encounters was a bit un comforting, but able to be over looked. My main disappointment is in the fact that I came in with multiple uncomfortable symptoms and took many tests with being said that I will receive my results in a week. A week and a half later I call the facility to see what is going on as I have I yet heard back from them and still experiencing challenges. When I call the nurse, she tells me that my results are in however she is not allowed to upload them to the patient portal or have the other doctor in the facility share with me my results and treat me for them because Dr. Lebow is away on vacation. I am absolutely SHOCKED that they cannot have the other doctor in the facility look over my results and treat me for them. My health is now pending to be treated even further because the doctor is away on vacation. I absolutely believe that a facility within integrity will operate to serve its patients health needs regardless who is in the office or not. or for a nurse to even share with me my results over the phone to provide peace of mind or clarity as to what is happening within my body until I wait the very least ! I feel like I am just another number on their computer screen bringing in revenue for their business. There is absolute no consideration for what I am going through mentally, emotionally, and physically. I will not be returning back to this facility nor will I ever recommend this facility. read more

Dr Matos-Fraebel is a trip! It was my first time at a new doctor as my old doctor closed her practice. The wait time including my actual appointment was a little longer than I expected (hour and a half) but she was fun to talk to. I appreciate the candidness that she gave me. It wasn't anything that I didn't know (esp about where I was for my weight). No other doctor has ever brought it up and I'm glad she had no issues doing that. I can see how others take the way she talks to you as rude or condescending but to be honest, she's just blunt and gets straight to the point. If you're sensitive to that type of conversation then Dr Matos-Fraebel is not for you. The staff there are all wonderful and you can tell all of them including Dr Matos-Fraebel care about the patients that come in. Found my new doctor! I have suffered for years after a procedure she did on my cervix without my permission and she was negligent with my child's delivery! She sent me home and Ignored signs of trouble! Bleeding! Very sad to have to write this review. I absolutely adore Dr. Matos, but coming to this office is an absolute NIGHTMARE. They constantly overbook patients to the point where I have waited on the floor outside the office for over TWO HOURS. If you're worried about covid as a business, maybe you shouldn't book 25 woman all at the same time. So unprofessional. Do not ever make an appointment here if you do not value your time. And don't even think about making appointments following this office visit because I can assure you you will either be late or miss it all together. Cannot even offer chairs for your patients waiting in the hallway. Older woman sitting on the floor waiting for hours and when they are called your "employees" respond with "the floor isn't comfortable." Unfortunately this might be my last visit here as I cannot fathom waiting at a gynos office for over two hours. Either bring more doctors onto the practice or STOP OVER SCHEDULING. read more

Dr.Jane Matos is by far the best doctor of any kind I've had. But on top of that, her office has the best staff. Not only the nicest people, they are so on top of everything from insurance to appointments and paperwork. I have used Dr. Matos as one of my primary woman's health doctor for a couple of years and I've never experienced the amount of difficulty and hurtful remarks from a lady doctor before about my appearance and pill refills nothing regarding health or weight loss related I'm a trainer so I'm perfectly fine. A doctor may have 480 good reviews, but that doesn't mean anything. She did not have the knowledge enough to treat the condition that I had and I left without being helped. Not all doctors specialize in vaginal conditions that are complex..they just handle common complaints. I will break down step by step my experience with this Doctor and her staff. Let me start with the only positive thing I have on them - Clean looking office Now for the experience that led me to giving a 1 star and if I could a negative rating. - When I get to the front to speak to the staff, they had not yet verified my insurance and then asked me to call my insurance company for them because they somehow "couldn't get through" to my insurance company to verify. It took us about 20 minutes just to do this. They seemed to be pretty incompetent. - Then I have to fill out literally like 50 pages on an Ipad regarding my health info and a bunch of other questions - this took another 20 minutes. - When I finally get called to the back and go in the restroom to pee in a cup, there is another patients pee just sitting there, with no top on, right next to me. Kinda gross. - When I finally get into the office with Mrs. Jane Matos-Fraebel, she seems to be nice but that quickly turns into a very unpleasant situation. She is extremely condescending and just flat out RUDE. Not only was she rude to me but her staff called her in the middle of our conversation, on her desk phone and she completely flipped out on them and talked to them like they were crap on the floor. That really bothered me. Also, she went on to tell me some story about some older patient she had whom she thinks is going around chasing young boys (I don't care about this). At this point I am uncomfortable and wondering how this lady has 5 star reviews. - Once we are done with our "patient interview" which took another 20-30 minutes ( I guess this is supposed to be the good piece because she tries to get to know you while also treating you like you're stupid). We start to walk into an exam room and I see a metal speculum and I ask her if it is okay to use a plastic one on me because that makes me more comfortable. She completely flipped. She goes to me, " DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT STERILIZED MEANS", "WE STERILIZE OUR SPECULUMS HERE", " NO OTHER PLACES IN SOUTH FLORIDA PROVIDE PLASTIC SPECULUMS", literally she is screaming this. Lady, I know exactly what sterilized means, the point is, I don't want a metal speculum used on me! Like WOW, at this point I left the practice and did not proceed with my appointment. I am appalled that even though she treated me like absolute crap, she still wants to bill me for the half visit I had. Like wow, so not only do you make me waste over an hour of my time, not only are you extremely rude and treating me like some idiot, BUT you also want to CHARGE me for it? Wow you've got a lot of nerve Mrs. Matos-Fraebel. Oh and by the way, I found a doctor who doesn't mind using plastic speculums and have an appt set up for May. So I guess you DON'T know it all. First off....the staff was very pleasant and professional. This was my first time there and I must say I was very impressed. The dr is very warm and genuine and she made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I typically dread going to the Gyno but my experience here surpassed my expectations. This is not the doc for you if you are looking for a caring attentive physician. Dr Matos-Fraebel spent most of the office visit talking about her kids, her ex husband and herself. We only discussed my issues when I interjected about the reason I was there in the first place. Her charting is very sloppy and inaccurate. This was written in my health record: DIET AND WEIGHT LOSS DISCUSSED. PATIENT ENCOURAGED TO INCREASE LEVEL OF EXERCISE even though I have a BMI of 18.4, eat healthy and exercise 5 to 6 days a week. Clearly Dr. Matos-Fraebel was not paying attention to the patent sitting in front of her. Want your test results in a timely manner? Good luck! My results have yet to be scanned into my health record 2 months later, despite the fact that I was able to access my scan results within a week via my test center's online health portal. Even with a concerning result from one test, Dr. Matos-Fraebel never sent me a message on how to proceed. I can't in good conscience stay with a health care provider who cannot provide timely test results or get something as basic as weight and exercise status correct in a chart. Maybe if she focused more on the patient in front of her, she would be a more effective health care provider. I lost all confidence in Dr. Matos-Fraebel's ability to pay close enough attention to my personal medical needs. read more
