Well, the stylists are great. But no one is ever ever on time. Waiting is not a problem but the…read moreowner never ever acknowledges I'm waiting. Frankly it's incredibly rude. A simple courtesy acknowledgement that I am there waiting or a text that he's behind would be client friendly but he has never ever done that. I've waited up to one hour frequently with no apology. It's unreal. Maybe that's why he sold the business- either the games made him enough money to retire or the games hit his business hard enough he had to. FYI-the new owners price list is 1/2 of Salon Prive's!

I am blown away. Jewels was my hairstylist and I could have not asked for someone better. I had my…read morehair cut at Ulta in March and it was awful. The guy used too much mousse, it wasn't what I wanted, and it was over $100!!! I've been growing my hair out but by bit for the last three years and thought nervously that it was time for a chop. I had pictures ready and everything, but when I saw her, I just gave her an idea. Medium length, highlights my eyes and waves, with volume and minimal styling. GUYS. It was only $60 and considering the look of the place I thought it was gonna be so much higher. She washed my hair, cut it with absolute precision for a whole hour, made wonderful conversation, stayed past closing time to style and blow dry it, and she DESERVED that tip I gave her. Wow. Go here and ASK FOR JEWELS!!!

I've stayed quiet before, but not this time. I went to K…read moreNails for a basic gel pedicure and a fill-in and somehow ended up paying $106. Before anyone says, "Well, that's normal," let me be very clear: I asked questions. When the nail tech asked if I wanted my nails cut, I specifically asked if there would be an extra charge. She told me no. So imagine my surprise when I get the bill and it's somehow over a hundred dollars. When I asked where all these charges came from, that's when the confusion started. One tech started talking to the other, and suddenly I'm being told I was charged for "going around my nails," cutting my nails, and other things that were never explained beforehand. I still don't know what "going around my nails" is supposed to mean, and quite frankly, neither explanation made any sense. It felt like they were scrambling to justify a bill that should never have been that high in the first place. What makes this sting even more is that I've been coming here for years. This isn't some random salon I tried once. My son and I used to come here together whenever he was home from college. They knew us. After my son was murdered, they acted like they cared. They offered sympathy. They know this isn't something I "went through" and got over--it's something I have to live with every single day for the rest of my life. They know how profoundly that loss changed my life, and they know I'm on disability because of it. That's why this experience hit differently. You expect this kind of treatment from a place that doesn't know you. You don't expect it from people who have looked you in the face for years, know your story, and then have no problem handing you a bill full of questionable charges that were never discussed until after the money was already gone. And let's be honest about the service itself: it wasn't worth $106. Not even close. Everything felt rushed. There was nothing exceptional about the experience, nothing luxurious, nothing that justified that price tag. The biggest issue isn't even the amount. It's the principle. If you're going to charge people for something, tell them BEFORE you do it. Don't wait until checkout and then start throwing out explanations that sound like they were created on the spot. I walked out feeling completely taken advantage of and wondering how many other customers have left there questioning their bill. At this point, I don't trust them, and once trust is gone, there's nothing left. K Nails can consider that $106 a farewell gift because they'll never get another penny from me. If you go here, ask the price of every single thing they touch, trim, file, clip, shape, or "go around" before they do it. Otherwise, don't be surprised when your total ends up looking nothing like what you expected.
