Clinton Community Garden is a teaching garden and enables all to hone the importance of growing vegetables, plants and bloom flowers. There are benches for resting and lots of green. Very well maintained. Clinton Community Garden is a great example of a unification of a community and building bridges in working toward a common goal of a healthier environment and healthy living.

Clinton Community Garden is open to the public 20 hours every weekend (10 hours Sat & Sunday). The rest of that time, it is closed off for residents or for those who have key access. Children and residents in this neighborhood does have access 7 days a week (which is fantastic) to learn how to eat healthy, grow their own vegetables, and live a healthy lifestyle. What I like most about the garden is the opportunity for residents in this neighborhood to get out of their apartments, and have a special space to call their very own, whether it be vegetations or to plant beautiful flowers. What an awesome way of team collaboration, and for the young minds to learn nature in the heart of West Side Manhattan!! Lonely as I am, together we cry. Sorry, my dear reader, I've been a little down in the dumps after a recent situationship went south. I'm trying to see the bright side in it. I think it will give me some space to breathe and allow me to blossom into the person the universe has destined me to become. But yeah, I've been coming here a lot recently to mope and be sad. It's important to let yourself feel feelings in order to process them.... Although wtf do I know I'm just so random dude reviewing a garden ahahahahah. This garden is LUCIOUS with greenery and BOOMING with life. It's so much greenery that it provides a bit of a shelter and capsule from the brutalistic concrete jungle. Sometimes it's just nice to be around life, even if it's not human you know? After all we human beings need sunlight just as much as plants, so it's kinda of nice to just sit and photosynthesize with them every once in a while........Damn I'm down bad ahahahahaha Be careful though you can get lost in here it's lowkey a maze! I also learnt from them that they have a volunteering program that you can work yourself up to become a member and get a lot for your gardening passions. I have never really done that before - but if I decide to do it some time, this is likely the place that I will go try for it!

This is a wonderful community garden. It isn't the best place to take people who aren't steady on…read moretheir feet, as much of the garden has stepstones instead of a path. This is a small, local community garden where locals each have their own plot, so please tread carefully and don't pick anything. Because of the private nature of the plots, there are no sidewalks inside the garden. There is a small patio area near the beehives and storage shed where you could read a book, eat lunch, or simply sit on a bench and enjoy the company of the flowers, squirrels, and birds. The benches are not commercial benches, so it really feels like you're in someone's yard. The fence is open limited hours. If you aren't able to get inside the fence, it's a perfectly enjoyable option to walk around the edge of the plot as there are sidewalks and it is considered a public area. While you're here, why not stop in at Morton Williams, open 24 hours, for some excellent options? There is a fellow who lives on this corner. You can't miss him - her has dread locks longer than he is tall, and the end of them are growing moss that makes him look like a tree spirit. He has a small grill and a bicycle. COVID-Specific info: Last year, the garden underwent some renovations. Due to COVID, the garden seems to always be locked up. The new fences feel hostile. I hope to feel differently when everything is alive again in the spring. As with most of the iconic homeless people, the dryad is gone. I hope he is enjoying a hotel bed in the NYC Homless-in-hotels COVID program.
