I always had a contact number in case something happened and I needed to speak to someone no matter the time or day. The shelter is always clean and the animals are well cared for. I never seen any animal in the shelter that was uncared for. Their adoption form shows you that they care who adopts their animals. The employees are professional, friendly, understanding and caring. Tiffany the manager is the person I've been dealing with for many years and I never had a complaint about her. She's sincere about her job. The manager before her wasn't alway pleasant but she did care for the animals. Beverly the lady that answers the phone has always been professional. I will continue to bring my TNR cats to the shelter. That project is a great help to keep the kitten population down. It's worth the money. I read some negative reviews and just want to say don't always let them influence you.

We brought our beloved cat, Rascal, to the Humane Society of Westchester during an emergency after…read moreshe suffered extensive injuries to two paws. We trusted them because we'd had three cats TNR'd through them over the years and we've also given them kittens that we found in the past so that they could find homes for them. We were told they could help her in the interim and that we would be coming back to PICK HER UP. We NEVER authorized euthanasia and were NEVER told they believed she could not be saved. Instead, after WE contacted them for an update, they TEXTED us: "Her injuries were bad. We humanely euthanized her." That is how we found out our beloved cat was DEAD. They did not call us. They did not ask permission. They did not give us the chance to take her somewhere else, get another opinion, or say goodbye. They made an irreversible decision for us and only told us AFTER it was already done. They now claim we were told she "couldn't be saved." We were not. If there was any misunderstanding, all they had to do was PICK UP THE PHONE and ask us. Rascal was NOT "just a feral cat." She had a name, a bed, a routine, a home, and people who adored her. She followed us from window to window for pets, jumped inside for treats, lounged with us in the yard, and gave us the sweetest little angel meow when we came home. She was family. She wasn't even four years old. When we went to pick her up, instead of compassion or an apology, we were argued with and treated like a nuisance. We were told, "Why would I take your word over three of my employees?" Then our beloved Rascal was returned to us inside a black garbage bag in our carrier. We have done nothing but cry since this happened. We are devastated that we couldn't protect her and that we trusted the wrong people while desperately trying to get her help. I understand that sometimes euthanasia is the humane choice. That is NOT the issue. The issue is that they made that decision for OUR CAT without communicating with us or giving us the opportunity to make it ourselves. If I could go back in time, I would NEVER entrust my angel to this organization. They may delete this review, delete my comments, or block me. It will not erase what happened. I will continue telling Rascal's story and demanding accountability through every legitimate avenue available to me. I hope karma finds those responsible. And don't worry, it will. We have to live with this loss for the rest of our lives because of the stupidity and the deplorable behavior of these people. They do not care for animals, they "euthanize" them when they don't feel like dealing with them and they have no manners, no empathy, no compassion, and are cold-hearted ugly individuals who don't explain anything to anyone, are poorly trained and horrible -and might I add MISERABLE- at their jobs, and when blamed with the responsibility of killing someone's pet, they turn into the monsters they truly are- they start defending their deplorable actions, they add insult to injury and to the already traumatic situation and they start attacking others instead of taking accountability. At the cafeteria, breakfast is first come, first served from 10-11am. They have a very limited menu featuring granola bowls with yogurt, fruit puree, granola, and dried fruits. They also have soft boiled eggs, scones, muffins, coffee, and tea. Everything was fresh, hearty, and delicious. They also serve lunch in the cafeteria, but that requires a reservation. There is a Michelin starred restaurant on the property as well. The spacious grounds are a treat to walk. They rotate the location of the animals so it's a pleasant surprise to happen upon them. We saw goats, pigs, and cows. The pathways have gravel, but they were not super rough. We had two strollers with us and no issues pushing them along. We walked the short loop, but there are longer trails for those who want more. Very family friendly and peaceful for a stroll.

I read about Hartsdale in the New York Times. It's near where I'm currently working, so I had to…read morecheck out the world's oldest and largest pet cemetery. It was a fun little side quest. They have been open since the late 1800s and still bury animals (and a few humans) there. It was interesting, poignant, touching, and sometimes a little funny, to see how much people love/loved their pets. Some graves are plain, some are extravagant. Bubbles the pug's grave showed his full, fun little personality. My favorite was a grave from the 1930s for a dog named, "Dummy." It's so cool that almost 100 years later, I can see how much his people loved him. The grounds are well kept, pretty, and this spring, lots of flowers were planted. Many gravesites were decorated with balloons and toys. The grass is kept trimmed, there is a lot of shade from trees. There are benches on which to sit and reflect. I read this is a family business, and you can tell these people care about the grounds and their clientele. I enjoyed a peaceful spring-time walk here, and it really was enlightening to see how some people truly see their pets as the love of their lives. One gentleman was buried with his pets, and he said that they were the only family he ever had, that they had changed his life, and taught him about true love. Wow. Entry is free and they are very welcoming to visitors. Definitely worth a stop if you're nearby. You are unlikely to ever see anything else like this.

It is very hard as a mom to leave your children with someone and she makes my husband and I feel comfortable when we leave our son to go to work. Our son requires physical and occupational therapy and thankfully Milly has been very accommodating to his therapist by allowing them to have sessions at her daycare. Milly goes above and beyond in everything she does, my son absolutely adores her and her family. If you want a learning facility who nurtures and treats your child as if they were their own then Milly's Romper Room is the way to go! I highly recommend Milly's Romper room.

The teachers are well trained, very caring and warm. They truly love the children and it shows. My twins love going to "school" everyday. The curriculum is developmentally appropriate and my children have learned so much. I love that the children go outside almost everyday, which I think is very important. I get daily emails that keep my up to date on my children's daily and weekly activities. This daycare feels like a family and I have never once worried about my children while at Rodi. I looked at a lot of daycare centers for my younger child recently and NONE compare to the amazing care that my twins get at Rodi. I highly recommend Rodi Daycare.
