TERRIBLE!!! Worst dentist ever!!!…read more Not only is the main receptionist one of the most unfriendly people you will ever encounter, she's also on her phone all the time and ignores patients. Dr. Kay Sr should NOT be practicing anymore, he has no bedside manner, he is very abrupt, unpredictable and refuses to acknowledge his hygienists, which are more capable and knowledgeable than he is when they say to stop doing something. Took my daughter there to get her first filling done, he was late, would not listen to the hygienists, he got rude with them and my daughter and he was forcibly removed from my child after she managed to take a nice chunk of her gum out. 20 minutes he struggled with placing a metal clasp on her tooth, not once did he stop and ask if she was okay if she was comfortable. I watched as she was patient with him until it really started to hurt her through the numbing!!! And he still did not want to stop. The hygienist had to physically keep him away while we all told him to stop and to leave her alone. My daughter was visibly shaking and crying. She was terrified, her mouth was bleeding really bad at this point. The dentist didn't even notice, just kept stating 'No, I have to do this now, this has to be done now', meanwhile, we are all telling him to stay away from the child. I had to explicitly tell him in a loud stern voice that he will NOT touch my child and to step away. He sat in the chair as I cleaned my child up and removed her, and he was still saying that he had to finish the placing the clamp. I attempted to speak with the son, but he was dumbfounded and didn't even offer an apology.

They also sent false billing to both my husbands and my insurance company for a cleaning that never happened...in the waiting room. On the same day, my 8 year old was charged $455.00 for a cleaning and 2 x-rays. When asked why the fees were so high, the response was "they are a specialty dentist". I dont know what was so special about what they did, but they are way over most insurance payout guidelines. Don't go unless you want to pay the difference out of pocket for their "special" services. I've been in a few times and each experience is excellent. They provide excellent solutions to problems without being pushy - a big turn off for me. Rebecca, the receptionist, immediately got back to me via email and remained in contact to remind me of my upcoming appointments. This is a newer facility, I believe they have been open for around a year and everything from the reception area to the patient rooms were very clean. Dr. Kowsari was my dentist and I truly recommend her to anyone in this area since she genuinely cares about her patients and their well being. The way she treats her assistants and fellow staff is exactly the way she treats patients. DLK Dental was so accommodating and will be my dental office from here on out. When I emailed back and said I don't think it's against the law to switch doctors he said my problem was that I have a " hospital phobia " and I just don't want him to put my daughter to sleep!!! Our dental hygienist Ada is fantastic, always upbeat, friendly and beautiful too! There is a nice lady at the receptionist, she seems very competent and kind. While I was getting my teeth cleaned my newborn started crying, she came to the rescue twice to soothe my daughter and even held her! This is genuine care that is going above and beyond her responsibility! Overall we are very pleased with this dental office so far, my dentist Andy Lu along with everyone else were friendly!
