No phone call, no text, no email, and no attempt from our local agents to make sure we were actually aware that our policy was about to be canceled. For a company that has every possible way to contact its customers, relying on one easily overlooked piece of mail for something this important is inexcusable. What makes this so frustrating is how easily it could have been prevented. One phone call. One text. One email. That is all it would have taken to alert us and avoid having our coverage terminated. Instead, there was no urgency, no follow-up, and no sign that anyone cared enough to make sure we didn't end up uninsured. Insurance is not a casual monthly subscription you can quietly let lapse without consequence. It protects people's homes, vehicles, finances, and legal standing. The fact that State Farm handled a cancellation with so little effort and so little regard for the customer is unacceptable and honestly infuriating. State Farm talks a lot about being dependable and being there when it matters. In our case, they failed at the most basic level: communication.
