My mother had a life insurance policy…read morewith them...she passed away in July 2024; it's January 2026 and her checking account is still getting charged monthly for this policy. I tried multiple times for nearly a year and a half to get the issue resolved without any luck, even after being told it had been taken care of several times. I finally called Farm Bureau's corporate office in Columbia for assistance and was told the Lancaster office had never filed the death certificate. They've had it since August 9, 2024. I acknowledge I could've been more persistent, but this is ridiculous. My mother also had her homeowners insurance policy through this office. I wanted to keep the policy with them for ease and called three times after the probate process had closed to get an updated quote. I never received any follow up. I feel like I was trying to give them my money and they didn't want it. The people in the office seem really nice when I spoke to them, but unfortunately the customer service and follow through has been nonexistent with me. I'm just a guy who is extremely frustrated at dealing with this office. I would exercise caution and patience if you bring your business to this office, but recommend going elsewhere if you have the option.
