I have long loved the area and have stayed in lots of homes on vacation, but I did not know exactly where I wanted to be. After seeing how dedicated Darci was to helping my mom find her house, I was excited to work with her for my own. My mom has not bought a home for over 35 years and was relatively new to the process since it had been so long. Like my mom, we were buying from a different city and that can be tricky when you don't drive past a spot everyday. Darci was so patient with us both and so knowledgeable about all the areas in Palm Desert, Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage. She was able to find us a property within 5 minutes driving distance of my mom's place, with a pool, no HOA and with mature landscaping! Darci is a great negotiator and was able to get us the home at the price we wanted, all while making a friend of the seller. The best part about working with Darci Hope and her team is how quick they are to respond. In this market, homes go so fast! She was able to get us in for a showing asap and wrote an offer for us the same day. I truly believe that is what sealed the deal for us on getting our perfect vacation home!! Today 3/09/2021 I once again reached out to a premiere agent via the Zillow website unaware of who and how my inquiry is delivered from the Zillow website. Marc Lange contacted me before 9 am via phone obviously frustrated with repeated inquiries from Zillow regarding Zestimate. Mr. Lange spoke for a few minutes with no pause for communication to allow a mutual dialogue. He stated he has nothing to do with Zillow? How can a realtor be a premiere agent yet have nothing to do with Zillow? His reply was okay Mr. Nichols" I will remove you from our list I can not talk to someone like you have a great day sir." Mr. Lange knew from the get-go I had no interest in selling my property that my need was to have the Zestimate that is almost 500,000 different from his own evaluation adjusted. I do wonder if I had express interest in selling if the Zestimate would have been adjusted to reflect his own estimation of 1,250.000? Thank you, Jeff Nichols

    we were extremely disappointed in our agent, Marc Lange, of Sotheby's. He has poor communication…read moreskills, barely responding to inquiries. He was not at all proactive about providing any feedback, and behaved more like an advocate for the buyer than as our representative. We aren't novices, having bought and sold more than a dozen homes over the years, and we've quite simply never had an agent who so shirked his fiduciary responsibility to us. His communication was so poor that less than 24 hours before our scheduled closing he hadn't yet bothered to inform us that the closing would not take place. This was as easy a deal as any agent could hope for--the buyer came along through a referral--Marc did virtually nothing to market the house, and once it went into contract, he never showed it again. I've never taken to yelp before, but my feelings about this agent are so strong, that I want to make sure that any buyer or seller is aware of his inept client skills and lazy approach to his job. Caveat emptor. (I hope his manager gives me a call!)

    Once my wife and I decided that La Quinta was going to become our retirement home, we knew we'd…read moreneed an experienced and qualified realtor to guide us through the numerous options available in the Valley. I am extremely pleased to have chosen the Brandt Group to lead and complete our search for the perfect home and I am happy to say that from my perspective, all their 5 star reviews are legit and well earned. I initially sent through a generic contact request via their Contact Us page and received a reply within a couple hours from Jeff & Linda letting me know they'd love to help us with our relocation (from Seattle) and to let me know that their group's primary buyer's agent (and the person who knew the most about everything for sale in the Valley) was son Jonathan. I was told to expect to hear from him the following day, which I did. We had several phone calls discussing our needs and desires and then I began receiving emails identifying various possibilities in and around our target parameters. These auto-generated emails were the same thing I had already been pulling down from Redfin and Zillow and very quickly, we were able to narrow the parameters down to several options we wanted to see in person. We informed Jonathan of when we'd be in town and he set up a tour of 6-8 different homes in 5-6 different country clubs. As we toured each development and each home, he quickly got a feel for exactly what we were looking for and during that first trip, we decided we wanted to move to the Rancho La Quinta CC. From that point onward for the next couple weeks, Jonathan kept us up to speed with RLQ options that were good targets and when he learned there was a new listing coming that he felt was right for us, he arranged with the selling agent to get early access and we did a FaceTime walk-through. As that option looked like a good possibility and at that time, there were several others that were good options too, I scheduled another trip to the desert. Jonathan picked me up at PSP and as Jeff had some spare time, he met us at the first showing and the three of us spent the day touring four homes and having lunch at the RLQ clubhouse. Spending the day at RLQ further solidified my desire to limit our choices to that development. During lunch, we agreed the homes we'd seen that day were not exactly what I was looking for and that we'd keep looking. I then asked if we could go take another look at one of the homes we'd seen on our first visit. I wanted to do that because when we toured it originally, my wife and I agreed it was the perfect home, but priced out of our range. I wanted to take another look to see if it still seemed to be perfect and to consider upping our price range. Jonathan got ahold of the selling agent and they agreed to meet us at the home. We walked through the home and it was as I remembered. I just wasn't sure about the price. Jeff agreed it seemed a bit high and at that point, I asked him to let the selling agent know we loved the home and to let us know when they were ready to get serious about the price. Fast forward two weeks . . . a fair price was negotiated, the seller desired a quick closing due to some family commitments, and we closed on the home in under 14 days from contract acceptance. Through it all, Jeff and Jonathan were calm, professional, down to earth, and extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. They provided an out-of-towner with the insight and information garnered through their 25+ years in the Valley where in fact, Jonathan grew up. They filled me in on the windy vs. calm areas; morning sun vs. afternoon sun; the various mountain views; the expensive power company areas vs. the reasonable power company areas; etc. It was clear they understood and desired to build a relationship and a friendship along with their desire to close on a home. They achieved in all aspects of our relationship. As an out-of-town buyer who was not able to move in at close, they have been invaluable in stopping by the home to check in. When the seller left, they had left 12-15 pieces of furniture in the home due to a misunderstanding with their agent. Once we learned this, Jeff and Jonathan arranged to have the remaining personal property removed and donated. The Brandt Group, and especially what I refer to as the J&J Team exceeded all hopes and expectations and I am happy to call them my first friends in the Valley. I am happy to write this letter with the hope others will believe that all the 5 star reviews are truly legit and well earned.
