He showed up on time but did not have all his tools for the initial residential inspection. He stated he usually doesn't do residential inspections unless its for his commercial business clients personal homes. It was difficult to set follow up appointments because of his commercial clients schedules. Once I had a contractor at the residence to make repairs as outlined by Boyd, it was difficult to get conference calls with Boyd for follow up questions or information. I still have questions that are unanswered. The contractor I used had to basically work from his own knowledge base to complete the repairs. I wish I had just gone with another structural engineer after the initial inspection or not used one at all !! The money for the residential structural engineer could have been better spent on the residence ! So if you are looking for a RESIDENTIAL structural engineer for home repairs IMO keep looking.

When he arrived to my property for the bid, he forgot all the equipment he needed for measurements, etc. He then had the nerve tell me that I was not responsible, because I didn't have the measurements down myself. When giving me my quote over the phone 2 days later, he gave me a quote for a commercial property. Like said, horrible service, and do not call Mario if you want an estimate.

Was I ghosted by two Principals at Lynch & Associates Engineering Consultants? You decide…read more This company did a simple 4-corner survey of my property in SE Wisconsin in Fall 2022. I rate the service I received as 1-star because for almost 5 months two Principals at this company ignored my written requests asking for a justification for a bill that was appreciably higher than their quote for this simple land survey. Care for small customers was the antithesis of what I expected. After receiving a larger bill than quoted, I called my project manager who is also a company VP. I asked him to please justify the overcharge for this very simple 4-corner survey on a mostly level lot, or to reduce the bill. He said he would investigate it, but he never did. Then I wrote to him multiple times over a nearly 5-month period asking about the overcharge and each subsequent request was completely ignored. Finally, out of frustration, I wrote to the company President and shockingly she said that the VP who had been ignoring me would be handling my request. He called me unannounced on a Friday evening and said he heard I had a question - as if we had never talked or communicated on this issue. I was in a retail store, and it was too noisy to talk. So, we agreed to talk the following Monday. Of course, he didn't take my call as arranged, nor did he call me back after I left a voice message. Having had no success in getting any response from them, I then decided to make a reasonable offer of payment and I sent a letter and check for final payment to the company. No one responded to my offer, but my check was eventually cashed. Although this experience was exasperating and totally unnecessary if I had a responsible actor, at least it was finally over. On a positive note, I did receive very good customer support from the Executive Secretary and from the Accounting department. The Field Survey Technician on my project did a great job too. If there was a separate rating, I would give these employees 5-stars.
