I add an appointment with January Chiropractic and Acupuncture only for the acupuncture. I am a true believer in acupuncture and after moving here from Seattle I was excited to find someone who offered acupuncture. I thought I could choose acupuncture or chiropractic. They strongly encouraged chiropractic along with acupuncture. I did not know that. I took the plunge and am going to try both services. Dr. January was very friendly and explained things well. One thing I did not know is he doesn't do needle acupuncture on a clients first visit. Nonetheless I will be going back to see how both services work together. read more

A little over three months have past since my first review and I'm happy to say that I am now getting some of the best sleep I've had since about a year ago when my back pain started. Before my treatments, I could barely go a night without tossing and turning, only to wake- up stiff as a board and often fatigued. Now I sleep through the night without waking up once and rise out of the bed feeling refreshed and energized. My recommendation for anyone visiting January Chiropractic, or any chiropractor for that matter, is to understand it's a process. And though I may not be 'cured' I am definitely feeling 100x better. Unbelievable place! You will not regret going to see Dr. January. I came across their website while desperately searching for a chiropractor who could help with a breech baby. From my first phone call I felt like they were the "real deal" - The staff is wonderful. They know you by first name from your first visit and the atmosphere is just as nice. I personally have not seen Mrs. January, but Mr. January was successful in getting my breech baby to turn head down at 34 weeks pregnant (only after about 3 visits) They were always very upfront and accommodating about pricing. Just like with any chiropractic care, your first visit will be a higher amount of money due to ex ray's. They do take insurance and also work with you and happily allow payments on long term care. More recently after giving birth to my baby, I started noticing serious acid reflux problems in him. I decided to go ahead and give chiropractic care a try for it (I was willing to try ANYTHING!) From just calling to talk to the girls who take care of scheduling they knew exactly who I was when I called and were excited to hear from me. They always are able to get you in the same day. We went in and I also brought my 4 year old. They offered to see us 3 if I would like. They went ahead and got xrays for me (didn't have them while pregnant.) Dr. January asked me immediately if I get recurring headaches and lower back pain (you can see the problem spots in my xrays) - he adjusted me and OMG - immediate relief from headaches. He adjusted my 4 year old who had an ear infection at the time and is helping her SO much. My newborn he was so gentle with and you would never have even known he was "adjusted" by the way he is gentle in his care with the little ones. My newborn slept through the night that same night (for the first time) and after the 2nd visit there was amazing improvement on his overall happiness. He is like a completely different baby. We are still dealing with the spitting up, but I really believe after several weeks of adjustments for him he will be relieved completely of it. We are just ecstatic that he is finally happy! We could not be happier with January Chiropractic. A wonderful place for your entire family. I was in no way previously associated with January Chiropractic. I had had my first ever migrane headache, with several resulting days of a low grade throbber. I had talked to some friends about accupuncture and how it could help. I called January Chiro, and spoke with the lady of this husband/wife team. She explained that it could very well help, and I asked how much for the procedure. She told me specifically $50 per treatment. Seemed reasonable. I got there within the hour and completed pages and pages of questions about my health and symptoms. After completing those, she took me in to get X-Rays. And then told me that the total cost would be $250. I about choked, but I'd been feeling so punk I reluctantly said, go ahead if that's what it's going to take. Then I met the husband end of the team, and he said he needed time to study the xrays---return at 3 please. Upon my return, the first thing he said was that the good news is he can treat me...the bad news is it's going to take no fewer than 24 visits. I said I can't really afford that, can we get to the accupunctiure please. He then popped my neck twice, and placed his fingers on pressure points on my skull. No needles...no accupuncture. He said this was faster. I felt totally taken and let him know I wasn't happy about being lied to about the accupuncture. Then upon checking out and paying the 250 under extreme protest, the poor gal at the desk had the gall to present me with a "contract" for 12-1400 bucks for the next visits. I said there was no way I was signing anything like that. and walked out. I feel like I was totally deceived, as they had no intention of performing any accupuncture. That procedure takes some time, and they are in the spine cracking mill which takes very little time. Shame on you two "Doctors". You're what gives chiro's a bad name... Patient Beware. I think the Januarys mean well but they DO NOT help at all. They are a young couple - obviously in their 1st yr out of school - and don't know the ropes of chiropractic yet. Their technique is far too gentle. I went in experiencing serious hip pain. Brandon "adjusted" me and I felt nothing. Not too mention it cost me $50. Excuse me? $50 for him to gently touch my back for 30 seconds? No thank you!! I have since started seeing a different chiro, one who really knows how to adjust, and have seen amazing results. I would give them no stars but I had to put at least one to put in a review. I am really disappointed that they REQUIRE you to have chiropractic appointments if you ONLY want acupuncture!!! I have done both in the past and at this time I ONLY NEED acupuncture! What a shame you put those requirements on your patients! read more
