When I had to leave my job for medical reasons, I couldn't afford the astronomical COBRA coverage premiums(who can?)! I called Erin in a panic and he informed me that I would fall under the new COBRA subsidy program that was recently passed and I could retain my current insurance for 35% of the COBRA premium that is usually due for 9 months, which is much more affordable. Even my employer hadn't informed me of this, which almost cost me my right to exercise COBRA benefits! If it weren't for Erin informing me of this, I would have no coverage now whatsoever! I am very grateful to Erin for informing me of this and pointing me in the right direction! I felt that Erin truly cared about me as a potential customer-he answered all of my questions, was timely in e-mail correspondence and was very sensitive & responsive to my needs-good qualities to have in an insurance broker, IMHO. I have never heard from my agency (ISU), regarding this issue or have received any replies to any of my emails. Allstate stated they contacted my agent on 9/19 to let them know, and i received no form of communication on this via phone, email, mail, carrier pigeon and now have a lapse on my record. This was a terrible experience and was actually going to refer family to this co until i found out this info on my own today.

Despite the fact that I don't get anything but the required insurance and it's of the state-mandated low cost variety, Elaine has been nothing short of awesome with her assistance. She has never tried to upsell me nor said or done anything to suggest she thought of me as a less valuable customer because I qualify for the program. To the contrary, she has been very friendly, helpful and never fails to look into any issues quickly and get back to me promptly. I generally dislike dealing with anything like insurance companies, but she is an exception. I would definitely recommend her for insurance needs.

Immediately after posting my review on Yelp I received a string of phone calls and emails from Samantha (Client Relations) and Frank (Director of Network Office Supervision) confirming to me that not only would my life insurance policy be cancelled, but they would guarantee I received a refund. They immediately emailed me a form to implement this and once I had it filled out and returned to them, processed the paperwork. Despite the rocky beginning I had with this company, I was reassured in the end that they had done their best to provide the satisfaction I needed so I would not go away with a bitter taste in my mouth.
