The servers were slower (but we weren't in a rush so we didn't mind). Not only did they have delicious drinks, the food was AMAZING! We got poke bowl & chicken tenders. This beer garden is spacious and relaxing, surrounded by plants and trees, you hardly feel like you're in the center of the city! Drinks are reasonably priced, they have plenty of non beer options like mimosas and margaritas as well. The food is also a little more varied than you typically get in beer gardens. Korean BBQ tacos, banh mi sandwiches, even fried dumplings, along with classics like chicken and fries. Bathrooms are tiny but otherwise this is a great place to spend an hour or two. read more

A great stumbleupon. Beautiful outdoor space full of greenery and picnic benches. When we were there we were entertained by a dj spinning reggae tunes. You order your food and drinks at a counter and get a ticket and then go to the bar to have your drinks made. Mostly a local crowd. Great ambiance and drinks. Lovely setting! An outdoor patio to enjoy on sunny days. Picnic tables with fixed benches that are spaced quite far from the table. My petite wife had to really lean in to eat her delicious skirt steak tacos. Ambiance is causal and hipster. Chill music on the speakers. Walk up to the counter to order and pay. Come back to the counter to pick up the items, no table service. My fish and chips sure were crunchy, and oily to the max. I had to surrender for the sake of my gallbladder and left 10 fries in my basket. Drank two different beers. The Hercules pale ale was cloudy and quite delicious, low IBU and hops. The super lupe was more of an IPA. Was recommended as a saison style fruity beer but was more bitter than I prefer. Bambie had an Aperol Spritz, she loves those. This one was pretty good. Note that this one is served in a big goblet full of ice, so not European style without ice. For an enjoyable hour on a warm afternoon we ate drank to satisfaction and spent all of 400 pesos. Good value. read more

Had dinner with some friends at this place. We liked the aesthetics of the restaurant and varied food options. Drinks and fries were fine but none of us were impressed with the rest of the food, though (got some sandwiches and salad that had hard/stale bread and bland flavors). We were there an hour before they closed bu felt rushed to order and eat since they were strict about getting everyone out by closing time. Great beer garden tucked away in Colonia Roma. Very friendly staff, picnic tables in the shade. Its typical pub food, but i had the best beef tacos! They have beer (of course) wine and cocktails too. I had a refreshing Aperol Spritz. Hubby had 2 local brews and the fish and chips, which were crispy but pretty greasy too. It was a very nice break on a warm day. read more

Lol. When I read the reviews, and I saw Hipster Heaven, or haven, I laughed and yeah that part is true. I had walked past this establishment wondering what it was thinking at first that it was a private family site. I like the fact that when I figured where it was there was no obscene large sign outside, it is just there. You begin to see the oasis of green and then as you walk in the long entry way, and approach the counter, you are overtaken by an outdoor plethora of trees, vines, plants, red umbrellas, great open sky, the smell of a variety of food right off the grill. Service is crazy fast and you are somewhat appalled at the size of the portions. Literally, I ordered the roast beef, and you see the dishes that go past you and you are like, that is for ONE? Honestly, the roast beef I had, the portions hanging outside the bun was enough for two sandwiches, I kid you not. A large variety of drinks, ANYTHING you could want here. The line of condiments, the cool digital number you can see to tell you your order is up, and no need for craziness here, all is laid back, the servers, waiters all amazing, and in view of the water wall on Chapultepec, for the price I paid at the top of Roma Cordoba I actually left here full and beyond full, so double the portions and double the quality of what you pay at Roma Mercado. I can imagine how GREAT a place this would be at night with music, a stage and more, AMAZING place to take a pack of friends and enjoy the night to its fullest. This would be the place. Love this is so close to Chapultepec and yet, you can hardly hear anything. Spectacular view, spectacular all around leaving you wanting for nothing. Not often easy to say. The food portions again HUGE and worth the price, the selections of beer, and BBQ items amazing, and a great choice for brunch. Four types of pizza, Five types of meat sandwiches, Grilled cheese and BLT that would taste as good as any sandwich with meat, fries, almost perfectly - well maybe perfectly crunchy and taste just right. Sure, hipster heaven would be apt. Great find just around the corner from Beer Box (maybe go here when they're closed? ;) Basic beautiful biergarten, with a few taps of [when I visited] great Mexi-craft brews (Hércules presently). Plus a very decent bottle list (from what I can tell, better than most in DF?). They do flights. Great food prepared right in front of you in their wood-fired oven or their grill. Condiments included Sriracha for the pulled pork & Old Bay fries. Theres also a "Full American Brunch" on the menu-complete with pancakes (don't worry-there's also "Full English Breakfast" as well). There's obviously an American ex-pat with his or her hand in this great little venue. Plus, while I was there, there was basically the essential 'Merica hipster playlist piped throughout the open, lush, oasis space.... Which was complimented by the occasional crow of the cock somewhere nearby. There's even a perfect little grassy hill to park with your pup (who is, apparently welcome). Hipster heaven! This bar is brand new and super fun. The weather is getting colder and because this is a beer garden there are no seats available indoors or under any type of awning. But I hear that's changing so check back in soon! On our most recent visit we were thrilled to find this little gem. It's basically a garden in between two taller buildings and there are communal tables, BBQs set up grilling food, and a back bar with local beer, cocktails, and wine. Pretty solid set up, very hip, and super crowded for a place that's brand new and outdoor only. When we arrived around 10pm there were easily 60 people here hanging out. There's a stage for live music, lights are strung up creating a fun ambiance and heat lamps are parked every few feet to keep people warm. This will be an amazing hang out in warmer months and I imagine there being a line to get in... It's truly really cool. We ordered the salchicha sampler and a BLT. Both plates came with a heaping pile of fries. I had a gin cocktail and my friends all had locally brewed beers. We weren't here for too long but service was great, the music was fun and it felt like we'd discovered some cool new spot before anyone else in the city. Simply put, one of the best places in town for artesanal beer and pub grub. It's not one of those places that has 1000 different beers but the 8 or so they keep on draft are good enough to keep most folks happy. The shared picnic tables also make it an easy place to meet people. I recommend the German-style sausages. read more

My favorite place in the city right now. Great open area, even when it's raining you can still sit outside with friends at picnic tables and chill out. Beer is plentiful (Hercules on tap) and food is all good from what I've had. Favorites have been the pepperoni pizza and the fried chicken hamburguesa. Highly suggest throwing some of their free toppings on the fried chicken and slathering it in sriracha, but that's just my personal favorite way. Regular burgers and fries are pretty great too. Chorizo sausage isn't amazing. Had brunch here once one Sunday and grabbed the all american style brunch. Pretty decent price and portions, but nothing really stood out in the meal. Had a bloody mary, and unfortunately it was made with clamato which isn't my thing (most of them in the city are :( ) read more
