I booked a 15 minute pre consultation with one of the two top 'consultants' to make sure I had enough time with her to really discuss what I wanted so there was no misunderstandings and to see what I wanted could be achieved. I had patchy lightened hair which was golden at the crown and blonder in the T section. I wanted whiter highlights through the golden bits and golden low lights through the lighter bits and then perhaps some brown lowlights scattered throughout. Instead of touching and inspecting my hair or taking a clipping to see how my hair responded to the high/low lights she got out a gadget which apparently tells her everything she needs to know and apparently is only one of two Salons in Wiltshire that have this Magic device. This Magic Device said that my hair was okay but would benefit from the use of, yes you got it; the products this salon sold. I'd already decided I wouldn't buy their products but I wanted to know if my hair could take the treatment I was asking which Kymmie said it could and to bring in photos of the style/cut and colour I was looking for when I booked. Long story short once sat in the chair I was told my hair couldn't take low lights but it could take a freshen up of highlights and a root colour and cut. When I questioned this Kymmie said 'I must have misunderstood you', I was in their 5 hours. I came out looking no different then when I went in but in addition my hair is breaking more. In addition Kymmie smokes and she smells of smoke. When you are paying a premium price you expect a premium service. They charged me in excess of £200. Judgemental rasists. Very picky people. I wasn't probably fitting into their preferred clientele.... Booked myself for "kerastraight hair straightening" I mean the name explain it...the description says it will straiten the hair to the last tip ect ect... When the hairdresser took my coat off and probably saw its from Primark she started right away it's not actually straitening, it's just gets rid of the frizz...and bla bla bla and advised me to go elsewhere. Of course I am not going woman like that touch my hair ... Not sure why... Because I am foreign, because I had cheap coat, because I am not top model? She was very quick to push me out of the door and got me my deposit back and whole I was waiting for the receptionist to process that she went to the back an was laughing with her colleague about something...not sure what but it felt very targeted after that experience. I do not recommend this hairdressers. They were unfriendly and injured my neck when washing my hair, I said my neck was in pain, the hairdresser said sit still or you will get water in your eyes, very caring! The atmosphere was horrible and not one smile or a friendly chat, £45 to be bullied. I have been before and the hairdresser I saw was nice, but after this experience will never go back. Reminded me of the nasty bullies at school all stood around glaring. I tried to engage the stylish in conversation but was pointless as got nothing back, totally uncomfortable experience. read more

Great for a pamper! Jas Hair have cut my hair many times and always make a superb job of it. Not just a haircut, here you get a little head rub, a great shampoo and for a few extra pounds you can have a treatment for your hair which leaves it sooooo sofft and gorgeous you wont even believe your eyes. The salon is comfy and stylish and all the staff are lovely. Unlike some hairdressers in Salisbury, you wont sit and have your hair cut while the stylists chat among themselves and gossip, i HATE that! The ladies who cut my hair are always chatty and friendly and really good with giving advice, not just about hair either! The cost is slightly more than some place in town but when you have been here, you will know why and you wont mind paying that bit more. I know i prefer clean towels and friendly staff more than i love £18 for a hair cut at a cheaper place. read more

I recently attended the Wilton salon for balayage and root tint. It was my first time at the salon and it will certainly be my last. The results were truly dire! The first attempt at the colour resulted in patchy and inconsistent application- which the stylist was actually rather proud of. Only upon my insistence was this attempted to be corrected! This was done by simply adding more blonde dye on top and obviously just created an even bigger mess and left me with dry, damaged and YELLOW! I was then further shocked by the insistence that I 'could not leave unless I paid' a large sum of money. She did however reassure me that a refund would be possible once the salon manager returned to work after the weekend. This turned out to be a lie. After contacting the salon and the owner of Jas hair group I have basically been told that they do not care and have refused to accept their failings and give me a refund which is all I want. I have subsequently paid to visit a reputable salon to have my hair corrected. Notably the other salon assumed I had ruined my hair by using a home hair dye kit and were shocked to learn that it had been done professionally as not only the colour was bad but the application was executed so poorly they assumed it had been done by a non professional. It will take months to get my hair back to the condition and colour that it was. read more

My wife loves this place for a pamper session. Its expensive but the staff are lovely and pamper you really well. They do everything from hair cuts, colours, manicures, waxing, massages and wedding preparations. The staff are all really lovely and professional and make you feel at ease. Terrible and upsetting experience with this salon. Never had a colour before so wanted to go very natural but cover greys. Impressed this upon them but was given highlights I was told would 'warm' my hair and make look natural. Left with orangey-blonde on dark brown hair! They put an all over brown on to rectify (reluctantly) but colour faded quickly (7 weeks)and left with awful orange again. They have refused to do anything and were extremely rude to me despite me explaining I can't afford to pay them every 6-8 weeks for a £47 colour as a mum to a young baby working part time. The worst hair dressing experience of my life. I was growing out my hair long but had split ends, so decided to go to Jas hair in Salisbury for a trim. It cost me £38 and the cut was terrible. There was a very heavy and blunt top layer and I couldn't style it and wasn't happy. I booked in to get it fixed, for which I was charged another £38, only for all my length to be cut off (I asked for a little length to be taken off to account for the heavy layer in top) to my jaw line, the cut was wonky, my fringe was longer on one side, the top layer is incredibly short and bulky and sticks up. Not only that but she cut out random chunks out of my hair to "thin" my already rather thin hair. I have never seen someone thinning out hair by just cutting random strands of hair to leave shorts tufts sticking out. It is so truly terrible I cried in the seat. I complained but was told I should let it "settle" for a few weeks and I can have 20% off next visit. I saw this as an insult. I complained again to be told after the "settling in" period that it's too late for me to have a refund for one or both bad cuts or even to have someone fix it for me without being charged again. I have tried to speak to a manager, no luck. I get told I will be contacted, no contact. I went to a different recommended hairdresser who couldn't believe how terrible the cut was. He couldn't fix it for me, only make it better, because it was so short and so bad in the first place it left him nearly nothing to work with. AND he only charged me £26 for a much better cut! I would avoid this place like the plague. I begrudge to even have to give one star and hope this stops others being ripped off of nearly £80 and their confidence shattered to only receive terrible customer service after. They don't care as long as they have your money. read more
