You become so friendly with them as they work on your project trading stories and enjoying to get to know them some. But that benefit would be lost if the work was not good. Recently I found out every one of the joists on my large deck had dry rot. I was in a panic because we are getting ready to rent the home. I was so lucky to find Seth from Goodland Decking. A recent transplant from California, Seth is an excellent carpenter and a really nice guy. He works super hard and even did some extras without charging. His dad and soon to be brother-in-law were also friendly, hard working folks. Seth and family got my project done quickly and affordably. It looks great and I am already planning other projects that I know they will be able to help me with! And they don't just do decks. Tile, and other renovation and handyman jobs are within their expertise! I strongly recommend Seth and Goodland Decks.

Review for Goodland Decking I hired Goodland Decking to…read morereplace approximately half of my total fence.  I took estimates from 6 service vendors for this work.  I was originally skeptical about hiring Goodland Decking given that I could not find much in terms of reviews of their business.  However, in conversation with Seth, he explained that he and his family had recently moved to Colorado from California and were working on getting the business up and going.  They have extensive examples of the work they performed in California.   I took a chance and hired them, and I'm glad I did.  Seth, a carpenter by trade, helped me make an intelligent decision about the selection of materials for my fence including wood type, picket width, post type, and gate dimensions.  He works with his father, Ron, who is a mason by trade.  The two of them make a great pair.  Seth's carpentry experience and Ron's masonry experience blend well.  They removed my old fence, installed new posts, railings, and pickets to my specifications.  Seth even included an extra-wide picket on the inside to cover the metal fence posts I selected.  Although a small touch, it added a lot to the project and speaks to the quality which Seth tries to achieve.  Additionally, he identified a few pickets that split when he installed them or otherwise weren't to his standards.  He removed and replaced them without me even having to point them out.  This is a clear indicator to me that he truly takes pride in his work.   Previously, I had a disaster of a gate that could only be opened from one side and wouldn't open all the way.  Seth installed a new gate that opened from both sides and leveled the ground out to allow the fence to swing open entirely where it would not previously.  He also installed a second gate on another portion of my fence where one did not exist previously to my specifications.  In both instances, the fence was built from scratch and he did not use one of those fence "kits" that you see in stores.  This was true craftsmanship.   Both Seth and Ron were polite, professional, and truly grateful to have earned my business.  They were respectful of my pets, my children, and other family at my home.  They cleaned up at the end of each day and weren't satisfied until the work met their high standards.   I highly recommend Goodland Decking.  I'll be contacting Seth in near future for some work I'm planning on my deck.

We originally were going to go with delivery, but we needed several types of rock to finish our project and it would require multiple trucks to deliver and multiple delivery charges, so we bagged that and just used our pick up. The process is really easy, you just go let them know what you need, get the truck on the scale and then they get the rock in your truck bed, you re-weigh and pay! Easy peasy! They have samples of all their decorative rock if you want to actually see it before you commit. We really liked the red aggregate we got for a revamped garden bed and the crushed fines and flagstone we got for the patio was all good (you can even pick the pieces you want of the flagstone if you have specific needs). Really no problems for us and the prices were good. I would recommend!

A super nice employee (Cindy) greeted me and told me how to do everything. I went back probably 15 times, and each time, the office was clean, smelled good, and employees were welcoming. Even the owners daughter works there. I highly recommend this business if you need rocks or dirt. 5 STARS FROM ME.
