ASPEN HILL SMILES FAMILY DENTISTRY- This review is lengthy but worth reading! I came to get an…read moreinitial procedure done due to a broken tooth. Hence I was in extreme pain. Dr. Gildenhorn was amazing he explained everything to me. Beyond the procedure I have to say his personality is amazing. He's funny and direct and really cares You can tell he is super busy but I would expect that from a great dentist. Thanks to him I felt comfortable and appreciated. His assistant Maria was a doll. She completely made me feel great and she was very personable. Her smile made me feel great to have her around. She's beautiful inside and out. The procedure unfortunately did not help but it was perfectly done. I have no complaints or regrets. It's just one of those moments where luck wasn't on my side. Since I was indeed in dire pain I came back to him for a check up. The X-ray showed nothing but we decided on a root canal because of the excruciating pain. He apologized over and over and said he didn't like to see me in pain so he asked to give me an appt to Dr. Tran the specialist for a root canal ASAP. I only had to wait a day for her to be in office. Oh man I cannot express enough gratitude to her and her assistant Jessica. I myself am not your average person. I like to show love and appreciation to people. My own way of making the world a better place one person at a time. And they were very accommodating to me. They even played my favorite music while I had my procedure to calm me down and give me a more comfortable experience. I'd also like to take a moment to thank the front desk staff members I met. To Miss Bethany and Mr Patrick, thank you so much for you generosity and kindness. I hope you both continue to smile and have happy days. Mr. Patrick thank you so much for taking your time in helping me in my situation in the first visit. You took your time and never showed me anything other than respect and courtesy. There is nothing bad I can say to Aspen Hill Smiles. The staff and Dr.'s are some of the best I've seen. Thank you so much for everything. I will see you soon for my next appt. ~ Betty Boop PS - This dental office will help you if you don't have insurance. They have a dental savings plan that you may apply for in office. ( It's pricy but worth it compared to the saving you will save.) Also they have payment plans. They will also go over all your costs before hand and I'm my experience there were no hidden or extra costs given.

I love her she has brought a smile back into my life again. I never thought I would feel confident…read moreabout my teeth.

The first time I went to this doctor,"Soheil Rashidchi", she and her assistant literally shoved me…read moreinto their x-ray machine as soon as my name was called without proper greetings, they seemed to be running out of time, the doctor was nervously rushing things and seemed irritable and I found that approach unprofessional. After looking at my X-rays she said there was a filling that needed to be done and several unrelated cosmetic dental services which were not absolutely necessary. I did not get a good vibe from the whole treatment that day so I did not return the next week to get it done, but I eventually thought I'd give it another chance just to get the filling taken care of and because they excepted my insurance. There was a lower back tooth on the left side that needed filling and she suggested there was a cavity on the front side of that tooth as well and could be done at the same time .. As I was laying in the dental chair and the anesthetic was setting in, she made a comment saying "now I get to do whatever the hell I want to you" which was very uncalled for and I thought it was totally inappropriate and was a cause of discomfort in that situation. Furthermore She had this inch and half thick plastic object shoved between my teeth on the right side in order to keep my mouth forcefully open during the whole procedure, something I had never experienced with any other doctor in my whole life. If patient is not unconscious and they can manage to keep their mouth open why would you use such uncomfortable and limiting device? Needles to say she did not do such a good job on the filling .. she created a , gap/space/food trap, between the tooth that needed filling and the one in front of it, in addition on the back of that same tooth, I don't know what she did wrong there, but I had a painful sore sensation that was there for three weeks every time I ate something. moreover I had to pay another doctor out of pocket who ended up doing the whole procedure from the scratch fixing all her mistakes. I did call Soheil Rashidchi and told her about the discomfort I went through and the fact that I had to pay $350, in my low income position, for another doctor to fix what she should have done right in the first place and asked her to at least reimburse half of this money she refused and expressed discontent with insurance companies not paying her enough. In short a case of a doctor doing careless job because of discontent with insurance payout and an unsuspecting patient suffering as a result. It is unfortunate and shouldn't happen.
