I needed a cleaning (I was over due by about two years) and a consultation to look at removing my wisdom teeth. After reading these Yelp reviews I decided to try a new dentist, Dr. Spivak. My teeth are sensitive near the gum lines so I had anxiety about this visit. My last dentist gave me a couple shots to numb me before a cleaning and I was not looking forward to more shots. Fortunately Dr. Spivak simply used Orajel (or something like it) to numb me and it worked just fine (no needles needed)! I was relieved at how smoothly and quickly the visit went. I think I waited less than five minutes to be seen for my cleaning and consultation and walked out within a half hour. He encouraged me to floss more frequently. That night I attempted to floss behind my permanent retainer (at the bottom of my mouth) and I accidentally broke it (I popped off the wire that was attached to one of my wisdom teeth). Although this was no fault of Dr. Spivak he fixed it for free the next business day. I was impressed that he returned my call outside of business hours and chose not to charge me although this was not his fault. Dr. Spivak, simply put, is the best. I had my first cleaning/check up in a couple years last week. He made it genuinely enjoyable. He talked and joked through the whole thing, and did everything (even the cleaning) himself - although Debbie, his assistant, was also very nice and helpful. For the first time, I didn't walk out gums bleeding swearing to never visit another dentist. On top of it, the price was very reasonable (and I don't have dental insurance). No surprise, I needed more work. He quoted me a fair price and this week I was in having a cavity filled and getting fitted for a night guard. I don't understand what a dentist does when taking care of a cavity, but I know this was the most careful and thorough filling I've experienced. On top of it, while he was in there he found two additional sensitive areas that had been bothering me, and sealed them up to eliminate my sensitivity - for no extra cost! I am so happy that I found Dr.Vadim Spivak !!!!! I have been unlucky for so many years with dentists before I found dr.Spivak . I'm been going to see dr. Spivak for about a year now and I LOVE IT ! He is very very nice , very polite and funny !!! He will tell you what needs to be done and how much it will cost , there are no surprises in the end !!!! His assistant Julia is an angel , she truly is ! She will sit by you and hold your hand and try to help you to relax . I honestly do not think of Dr. Spivak as just a good dentist. He does treat his patient with utmost respect and care. I do think of him as a very trusted family person. I have been going to Doctor Spiavk fo over a year. For the first year, he did not accept the insurance I had. He, though, did teeth cleaning and several consultation free of charge. For the first time ever, I go to a dentist and not even question his intentions. He will givehis professional advice regardless of financial returns to him and will also refer you to other specialists for second opinions. Dr. Spivak will explain anything you ask about as if you were a dental school student. I honestly do not think there is a dentist in the area that comes close to Dr. Spivak in term of professionalism, care, and skills. I highly recommend him for anyone. dr. spivak and his assistant debbie clearly know what they're doing! they were very attentive to me as a patient and i feel that they were being honest about my options rather than trying to push me into a more expensive option. i was told what was and wasn't necessary and i found that very refreshing! the two are very funny when they get together and make everything seem casual and friendly. dr. spivak and his assistant joked several times that he was very willing to work with patients but it seems to be the truth. there were some awkward point but when someone is probing around in your mouth that's bound to happen. my cleaning went very well and my teeth felt shiny and new afterwards. what i really enjoyed is that dr. spivak taught me the proper way to floss so as not to irritate my gums so i've been doing it that way ever since! overall, great experience and i plan on continuing to see them! read more

This is based on two of my most recent experiences with the Dr. Spivak--and both visits were as good as it gets! Spacious new office with state-of-the art digital equipment--some of which I have not seen anywhere else--and a convenient location with free parking in Rockville! Dr. Spivak and his staff are efficient very personable and always made sure I was comfortable with whatever procedure they was doing--be that cleaning, filling, wisdom tooth extraction or appliance fitting. Speaking of the extraction (like most people, not something I was looking forward to!)--the tooth was out quickly, smoothly and painlessly (so quickly and smoothly that I didn't even realize it was out!). Definitely recommended--especially if visiting a dentist makes you nervous! P.S. Loved the toothbrush/toothpaste kit that I got after my two cleanings! Modern, clean office with the state of the art dental equipment. Dr. Spivak is the dentist with a lot of experience; his sense of humor and a positive attitude put me at ease right away. He explained to me what he will be doing and his assistant Julie was very attentive and pleasant. I had one badly decayed wisdom tooth and another wisdom tooth severely broken. Dr. Spivak took both of them out painlessly. I was scared to think what complications might arrive after the extractions, but I had none. Also, I had a severely broken molar on the right side that could not have been saved. Dr. Spivak suggested an implant and after some considerations I had him put it in. The healing process was very painless and now I have a tooth that is better than the original. At this point, I can definitely say that I found a dentist that I can trust. read more

I had longstanding issues with my front tooth, It had a crown and a post that never looked or fitted quite right. My actual tooth was pretty much gone. When I first went to Dr. Spivak's office at Executive Dental Arts, he immediately saw that I also had an infection. He recommended an implant. Since it is a front tooth and an intensive procedure, I was very apprehensive, but Dr. Spivak patiently explained the process to me and answered any concerns that I had. Dr. Spivak is very skilled and thorough and the procedure, which took several months, went smoothly and I now have a beautiful front tooth. Dr. Spivak is very friendly and so is his assistant, Julie. After a long period of consulting dentists with regards to a dental implant i wanted to have placed in my number 8 tooth, I finally was lucky to find Dr Vadim Spivak thanks to a thorough research done by my wife. Of course I have had my share of dishonest dentists with ridiculous quotes. On day one with Dr Spivak he did an exhaustive examination of my teeth and came to the conclusion that I should go ahead with a dental implant. He was reassuring, personable and professional. I was in the DC area vising some relatives when I had a tooth emergency that I had to take care of right away. My brother had been to the Executive Dental Arts office a number of times and it came highly recommended. Luckily, although it was a Saturday, Dr. Spivak was able to squeeze me in during the afternoon even though I did not technically have an appointment. The office is conveniently located and I noticed that there is a metro stop nearby, although I didn't have to use it. Dr. Spivak has a great bedside manner and is one of the most enthusiastic dentists I've ever met, which definitely improves the whole experience. To say that this office is excellent is a complete understatement. I had not been to the dentist in several years (this is being conservative.) I was incredibly nervous, and on the verge of tears. Dr. Spivak and Debbie were so kind and gentle. They made the experience pain-free. People often cringe at the thought of going to a dentist. However, Dr. Spivak and his staff make each and every visit as comfortable and affordable of an experience as possible. I have been here for several different services, including extractions and general cleaning. I know he has also had many years of experience with crowns and implants. Dr. Spivak is such a family friendly, knowledgeable, and professional dentist. He did a great job getting me in quickly when I had a cracked filling and I had no pain or discomfort. He is also so good with children. He had my two children reading the xrays while he showed them their different teeth. It helped them be calm and stress free during their cleanings. Dr. Spivak gave me a wonderful experience at his office. I had my first crown put in along with a cleaning. The office went the extra mile to have the crown made a week earlier so that I can leave on time for my vacation, which was greatly appreciated. I use to live in DC .I drove up from Cleveland Ohio to get dental work done. NOT only is he kind , but his work is the best you will find in the dental industry.
