The room was very nice and we really enjoyed the experience. As long as their is a nice comfortable bed, a nice size clean bathroom and enough room to sit, I am happy. This place fit the bill. We were here as part of out Rocky Mountaineer trip and they had a staffer with a separate check in for us. You leave the train, they take you over by coach and the baggage is already in the room. The staff was fabulous and everyone was very attentive to any of our needs and always very accommodating. I had only one issue here... lots of people and not a lot of places to eat. A bar and restaurant. My wife and I are used to multiple choices and the ability to walk downtown if we want. Here that was really not an option. We came back late from a tour and it was difficult to be seated. The VERY NICE host took our name and really watched the flow of people and managed to get us in a bit earlier than the reservation we made. Food and atmosphere is good and our server did a wonderful job. (some food pictures attached as well as a separate review.) I copied and pasted my review here because I noticed too few reviews on Yelp. My son said this was his favorite part of our Jasper/Banff trip.

I have mixed feeling about the trip to the Glacier. Don't know if that is something that I would have booked myself. It's a "cool" idea to be up on a Glacier, but it can also be a bit anticlimactic. You get driven out there in these hard "big as earth mover" buses, then parked, left to wander for 20 mins, then back on the noisy transports. Then there is the environmental impact of being up there, and the fact that climate change is already doing a job on the glaciers. Without waxing to much philosophy, one could say that about the entire travel industry. Anyways, it was a beautiful day, lots of sunshine, fresh air (once they turned off the diesels engines), the glacier and surrounding area is a treasure, and I was among people I love. Daniel was extremely knowledgeable on what we were seeing, giving us a most enjoyable history lesson of the region. Daniel was also quite humorous which was an added bonus and he took a genuine interest in each of his clients. He had everyone's best interest in mind and actually took us to a couple of spots not on the itinerary that he thought we should see. We couldn't have asked for a better day or a better guide. During our drive up to Medicine lake and then the canyon, Adam told us about the 2024 fire while we kept an eye out for wildlife. We were treated to mule deer and elk! The hike into/out of Pleckaitis was beautiful and a great way to end our stay in Jasper. Adam was friendly and knowledgeable - my boyfriend enjoyed talking hockey with him!

Jasper National Park is amazing. They have beautiful lakes and rivers, animals, and shops…read more Admission to the park was easy. You stop at the gate at the entrance of the park. The friendly ranger will ask you questions like how many days you will be staying and then give you a price. Everything was done by credit card. The transaction was easy peasy. They had lakes of all shapes and sizes. There was a roadside lake that I stopped at that was turquoise in color. We visited Maligne Lake with its azure colored waters. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to the lake to get tickets to their boat ride to Spirit Island. Animals weren't seen until my last day there when I spotted bighorn sheep. The town of Jasper was the major hub in the park with lots of shops, restaurant and a nice visitor center. You could buy all the souvenirs that want. There was a recent wildfire that burned part of the town in Jasper and some of the sites. Maligne Canyon was still closed. This is an beautiful place to visit if you like the outdoors.

The community is working hard to recover and the area needs all the tourism that it can get. You can see the result of the wildfires damage from about 30 miles outside of Jasper town. It's truly heartbreaking to see. We need to support the people & their businesses. They said there are many areas 30 miles outside of Jasper town that are intact & stunning. Go visit... it's amazing
