My lashes are normally straight so you can't see them and I am not a make up type of person. Getting my lashes done by Kass makes it seem like my face is "done" with no effort at all. She is so sweet and answered al my questions and communicated with me the process and what to expect. She has become the service I look most forward to receiving. My hair is really curly as well and so the lashes look like they could be mine. I can't rave enough! I also like the fact that she puts on the lashes in a room with only you in it. First off, my appointment was scheduled for 12:30pm. While in the parking lot, I called her to let her know that I was having trouble finding the suite. Nevertheless, she forwards my call to voicemail on both attempts which I found to be very weird, but I ended up walking in at 12:28pm because I found it on my own. She comes out of her room and tells me to have a seat because she's still with a client. At 12:42pm, she and her client who is also Asian like herself, walk out laughing and chatting. I even comment on how her client's lashes were pretty but they were definitely not my style! Joyee takes me back and I feel as though she rushed through it. They looked OK and when she was finished, I decided to look in the mirror for a couple of minutes to see how I actually felt about them but guess what? She didn't even give me a chance! Once she saw me looking in the mirror, she immediately distracts me by saying "oh you left your phone on the bed, clumsy" which was very unprofessional. I didn't leave my phone, I knew exactly where it was. I was double checking to see if I even liked the lashes and I have a feeling that she knew it wasn't a good job which is why she tried to distract me with the phone comment. At that point, she hurries and gives me my phone and walks me to my car because I told her my puppy was out there and we discussed her taking a glance at him. By the time I drive off, I checked the time and it was precisely 2:01pm. (Just 1 minute over the scheduled time) So what was the rush for? I waited almost 15 minutes for her during my scheduled appointment time yet she rushes me?? The audacity. At any rate, I have photos included of what I wanted versus what I got so that you all can see the truth for yourselves! When I put on mascara it looks far better than what she did. The REAL reviews for this company are on other platforms like Groupon; you just have to research to find them. She blocks any 1 star reviews on Google so that she keeps getting new clients. Maybe you have to be Asian for her to do a good job here. But then again, the client who was before me didn't leave looking too great so eh who knows. If you want to be experimented on, this is the place to come to because Joyee is definitely still learning her way through this. She doesn't even list the fill in prices like ALL lash techs have on their website , instead she has "price will vary". Probably varying on the needs of her own bank account and how much she feels inclined to charge based on the day of the week. Strip lashes from the beauty supply store could easily supersede what she does here. Nothing but a waste of money!!!

In Raleigh a short time and was fortunate that Jill's schedule was open for a lash tint, brow wax and fill. Jill got my brows on point and the fill is perfect. Their shop is in a grocery plaza so parking is plentiful. The inside is spacious and clean, with separate areas for manicures and pedicures. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I am a picky customer and my nail technician Thuy was so patient and communicative working with me to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. She had such a light hand filing my existing gel off, and a very good eye for shape and symmetry. I came in thinking I would get oval nails as usual, but she suggested almond and thankfully I took her word for it. Some of my nails and fingers are a bit wonky, so I have always feared that something pointier like almond would emphasize the asymmetry. However, she did an amazing job with the shape and I am now an almond convert. Thuy also has a remarkably steady hand, and my cuticles remained spotless with no stray gel streaks to be cleaned up. I opted for a polka dot pattern and she absolutely nailed the spacing. She moved with care to ensure that each dot was round, equidistant, and the same size, erasing and restarting when needed. Sizen nails is currently running a 20% off mani and pedi as of 5/14/26, and the prices are AMAZING. My gel mani with designs on all 10 fingernails was $44. As someone used to California prices, my jaw dropped when she showed me the total. I think I found my nail salon in NC, and will definitely be back next time I'm in town.
