I'm not going to lie and say Crosspoint took away my fear, but what I will say is I'm thankful for a dentist and a staff that is cognizant of my body language and knows when I'm in pain and responds to it. So I'm actually the third person in my family that goes to Crosspoint. I referred my husband to them because I heard good things about the dentist and he had a great experience especially since he suffered from periodontal disease. My oldest daughter then went next as she aged out of her pediatric dentist and this would be her first "adult" dentist. So I decided it was time for me to go. My dental hygienist was very nice and gentle even during the uncomfortable x-ray portion and as she explained my gums and tarter and how to keep it under control. I needed a crown and this part is what I hate but the dentist was very aware of my pain and made sure to provide me enough Novocain that I was numb and felt very little pain. The staff was very nice and there was very little to no wait for my appointment.

I went in to get a quote and some antibiotics for the infection and explained that I haven't been able to afford to have them removed. After I left, I received a text saying that they were going to remove them at no cost! I have never received such generosity in my life. I worry about my teeth constantly, fearing infection that brought unbearable pain, and I was embarrassed about the decay(constantly worrying if my breath was bad). I went today to have them extracted and they did it in a very fast very professional manner. Easiest extractions I have ever received. They may have actually saved my life. When I was finished and went to the front desk to pay for the fluoride part of my treatment not covered by my insurance, I ran into a problem with my payflex card that I had to spend nearly a half hour over the phone to resolve, which as it turns out, was that I had mistakenly kept an expired card instead of the current one. The nice ladies at the front desk were very understanding as I realized my blunder, which will now be resolved with a new card being sent to me that I can then pay my bill with once I get it. It was appreciated that the ladies at the front desk were understanding while I was on the phone all that time seeking a resolution. I live over a half hour away from Parkview Family Dentistry, but I continue to go there happily, not just because of their professionalism, but also because I greatly appreciate that a few years ago, they opened up an appointment slot for 7:00AM on Wednesdays for patients whose schedules would make that a much more convenient time, as it is with me since I work third shift. Every contact I had with the receptionists was amazing. They were very friendly and never made you feel like they were in a hurry and answered every question I had in a calm and enthusiastic manner. The best part of the experience was that Dr. Burns himself called me several hours later to check on me and see if I had any questions. That is great patient care!

Then she cleaned my husbands teeth and he complained about how she hurt his gums while cleaning his teeth. Then he said he needed to take painkillers after he got home. I also had my teeth cleaned a few weeks ago and she was too rough as well. We've never had this kind of experience there and have been patients for 10 years. This needs to be addressed. I'm not sure if she's new or not. Another issue is we have 2 free cleanings a year which is every 6 months with our insurance. They have been scheduling us every 8-9 months which most times is only once a year. If he has so many patients maybe it's time to hire another dentist to work with him. We should be scheduled every 6 months. Maybe it's time to find another dentist.
