My usual order is the daily bread, creamy vodka pasta (hold the vodka), and a Margherita pizza. The bread is SO good!! I love dipping it into my leftover pasta sauce. read more

I was quickly reminded why I don't come more often: $32 for one person. That didn't even include tip. That was a simple order of the Vodka pasta (NO meat), a side of bread, and a can of Coke. THIRTY. TWO. DOLLARS. I honestly wouldn't mind it so much if I could at least get two meals out of it. I frequent Olivia (downtown) every 1-2 weeks, and am able to get two full meals out of an order of pasta and garlic bread. And that's a fancy restaurant. While this place is cute and has good service, it's essentially fast-food pasta. Having said that.... The restaurant itself is very clean and bright. You order at the front, are given a buzzer, and go find a table. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. Indoor is fairly small, but they make it work! It's not meant to sit and talk for hours. Once your food is ready they deliver it to your table, along with a glass bottle of tap water for the table. It can get kind of noisy depending on business. I've always had great service - they're always on top of things and walking around in case you need something. Since I was dining alone tonight I opted to sit at the counter, which I love the concept of!! The food itself is delicious. The vodka pasta is really good (spicy)! Their daily bread is fabulous, nice and thick and soft - perfectly dippable, which is great since it comes with EVOO with herbs. A couple times when ordering carryout the pasta seemed a bit dry, so I made sure to ask for extra sauce. It was perfect that way! The pasta itself you can tell is fresh; perfect amount of chewiness and texture. Next time I'll probably try the vodka pasta with the breaded chicken - watching them cook, it looks delicious!! I was told it's probably the most frequently ordered item on the menu. All in all, I highly recommend giving them a try. Just be prepared to pay a high price. I'm going with an overall 3-stars based on price for the portion size. If that changes in the future I'll happily edit my review. 5 Stars for an Italian spot that hits the mark with every dish and every pizza! Pro-tip: get the Luca Salad and Tiramisu. You'll thank me! We were a group of 5 and waited about 10 mins for a table (no reservations), but that gave us time to scope out the menu. The Luca Salad is not to be missed. It's got kale, romaine, radicchio, Marcona almonds, dried black cherry (YUM), and a cashew-balsamic dressing. This salad was a fan favorite with our group and I've been thinking about it since! In terms of the pizzas, we enjoyed the Sweet Baby Jane (tomato, house-made mozzarella, soppressata, and calabrian honey) with a thin "NY-apolitan" crust. We also got the Jess Knows Best pizza (truffle honey, goat cheese, mushroom, caramelized onions, thyme), but we got it with the "taglio" tall and fluffy crust. All of the crust options are made with naturally fermented sourdough and we were a split group on the favorite crust type. The toppings were a perfect blend of savory, sweet that hit every note we wanted. The pastas were -chef's kiss-. Our fave was the Creamy Tomato Vodka- which had a touch of heat, but totally doable for a heart-burn-prone gal like me. Lastly- we got the Limoncello Cake and the Tiramisu. After you sit, the waiters and waitresses attend to you like a regular full service restaurant. We got the focaccia appetizer with all 4 dips and they were incredible! Oh emm gee, that ricotta dip and focaccia! We got the dip tray and found that all the dips were delicious, BUT the ricotta was the absolute favorite! What a great lunch spot! The lunch special is an incredible deal. The salad has the perfect amount of dressing. The chicken sandwich was packed with flavour. The tomato sauce on it was the star. This location was more of a faster dining, order food at the front and they bring it to you when it's ready.
