Absolute disappointing company, buyer beware if you want to go with them. One of the worst…read morebusinesses we've ever had to deal with after owning 5 homes. Omaha Decks and Fence is a company that we had install approximately 132 linear feet of 4' tall fence. It was a very frustrating process especially when the 'owner' Rob doesn't return calls or texts, and of course there is no office that will actually answer the phone. The owner of the company, Rob showed up 3 hours late to do the estimate appointment and unfortunately it continued to go downhill from there. We accepted his bid to replace our fence, and it took him 3 weeks to complete the project. They no-showed/no-called 4 times, typically on Mondays or Fridays. And if they did decide to work, they'd show between 9:00-10:00 and leave between 3:30 and 4:00. Please take note, he said it would be 5 days total to complete the fence. By comparison, they also did our next-door neighbor's entire property fence (approx. 150 linear feet) in 3 days. He had two workers on site at all times, when they decided to show up. The main worker at our home Mike, did the best he could. Mike often agreed that there were things were done out of order, but that he is the employee and does what he is told to do by Rob. Further, Mike was specifically instructed to NOT do certain parts of the project (like cut the stair railing, cut the top of the fence), and that only Rob would do those parts. The issue is that Rob didn't show up on time, so it delayed them by a few hours waiting for Rob. And if Mike was unsure of something that came up through the day, he often had a challenging time reaching Rob for an answer. As the fence project got started, we asked for an estimate to have them re-surface our deck (replace rotted wood with composite). The bid was great, so we went ahead with it. The only problem is they already ripped out our entire fence line and only reinstalled about 64', when they decided to tear off the surface of the deck. There was no communication that he intended to leave an unfinished job to start a new one. Never mind their other customers that just had their jobs bumped weeks as a result of the new job he just took on. After nearly begging them to finish our fence after another week, they finally finished the fence in a ridiculous 3 weeks. It is very frustrating when you have dogs and to be told the job would be done in 5 days maximum versus the 3 weeks it actually took. The craftsmanship is mediocre, as indicated by multiple ¼" gaps in the railing that they installed for us (see attached pictures). Another example of the craftsmanship is when they went to install the stair railing, instead of evenly spacing the posts along the 7 steps, they attempted to run a single panel from the top and end 2 steps from the bottom. It took me again asking them to properly space them, as I'm convinced, they would've thought that was okay. Also, they installed half of the lap boards backwards, and it took me to bring it to Rob's attention after the fact. They reluctantly installed the boards the right way. Regarding job clean up, that left a lot to be desired as well. After the first day, there was mixed concrete laying on the side of the house. It was very apparent they made no attempt to clean up. There were cigarette butts left on the property, and mulch dragged on the front of the sidewalk that we cleaned up. And when the deck was complete, they didn't go through with a magnet sweeper (a $19 tool), I don't understand how this was possible. I ended up using my magnet sweeper afterwards and found a dozen 3" deck screws among the river rock... something one of our pets or children could have easily stepped on and injured themselves. He claims to have a 1-year warranty on his work, but when his own worker pointed out an issue with the railing installation, he doesn't return calls or texts to come out and actually fix things when they are wrong. Finally, when it comes to billing, we found out after the fact that he charged both us and our neighbors for the same materials for the fence. We had pressure treated posts and 2x4s with cedar panels, and our neighbor wanted all cedar. He charged us for the increased cost for cedar, then 3 weeks later, charged them for the exact same run of fence line. Our check for payment to him was on May 8 after much nagging and begging to get our job done. We have never, ever had such terrible contractors working on our home. We have been renovating our home and by far, doing business with him has been the worst experience. Checks cleared, and of course calling or texting does no good, so we've just resigned to the fact that he's a terrible businessman. The funny thing in all of this is early in the process, he claims to be concerned about his reputation, but his actions speak differently and our entire neighborhood knows what a poor job he does based on watching them come and go for a month.

We hired Window Genie to wash our windows and clean our gutters. We have double decker patio rooms…read moreand we asked them to clean both upstairs and downstairs inside and out. When they started to clean our gutters the technician said they were clean due to the last couple of storms and that he wouldn't charge us for the cleaning of the gutters. When they finished, they said they only did the upstairs patio because that is all we told them to do which isn't right. Both my husband and I asked them to do both. When they were done, we asked them about the spots on the windows and they said they would go away which they didn't. The technician said the invoice was for $320 which we authorized to be put on our credit card. When the statement came we saw an additional $225 added to the $320. When we called Window Genie, the technician lied to the owner and told them he never said to us that they wouldn't charge for the gutter cleaning and that he showed us him phone with the bill (which he didn't). We authorized payment for $320 but the company charged us the $545.70 and refused to honor what we authorized. That appears to be fraud to tell the customer they will charge one thing and get our authorization and find that they added more to the invoice. The quality of service was poor and the fact that they did not believe us about what the technician told us, tells me they are not customer oriented. We had neighbors we were going to recommend the company to but now have told them not to use Window Genie of Omaha. Very disappointed in customer service.
