Very frustrated with this dental practice. My mom is a very long term patient. Was a patient of Dr Genc since 1970s. My mom had her denture repaired, since then she moved further away into a senior facility. We called the office, explained the situation that she moved, we wanted to pay the balance due and pick up her denture. They will not release the denture to us. Not even if we pay the balance due. I explained the entire situation to them, we feel it would be detrimental to my mom to bring her back there. Without going into too many details on this public forum....They showed no compassion and will not work with us. This has made me very upset. No customer service. Would not recommend! read more

We have been coming to this dental office since Dr. Genc had the practice. We continued when Dr. Coria took over the practice but things have changed. Delta has changed how much they want to pay dentist that are not in net work, Dr. Coria is a premier dentist so our Delta Insurance does not go as far. We were ok with that but when the front office personnel changed and one of the employees treated us so rudely I said "enough". I have learned a lot about Delta insurance after having to call them all summer when said employee basically told me she had, "done her due diligence," regarding our insurance issue, I said, "enough". I have found a new dentist, in Delta network, their front office employee was able to call Delta and fix the problem. I have two new crowns, no money out of pocket. I do like Dr. Coria but I have find another dentist that I like as well and works for me. read more

Ever since I can remember I have had extreme anxiety about going to the dentist. This has caused me to go long periods of time without a visit. I moved to the area about a year ago and finally decided I needed to find a dentist I trusted and could manage going to on a regular basis. After much research I decided to give Dr Coria a try and I am so glad that I did!! Everyone I had spoken with has but super nice and made me feel at ease about coming to the dentist. One of her hygienists, Taylor is amazing. She talks me through everything and is super gentle when cleaning your teeth! Today was my second visit and I can say I had zero anxiety about the visit and even left feeling like I enjoyed it! That is a completely new feeling to me and it's a good one lol. I finished 6 months smiles braces in 7 months, multiple teeth cleanings and a whitening treatment. The process was easy and worth it. I got my braces on right before covid so there was a little delay in my treatment due to not being able to go to the dentist. When we were able to return, the staff went above and beyond with covid precautions and I felt very safe. My results were amazing and every issue I had with my teeth Dr Coria fixed it. Dr Coria was very friendly as was her staff. I will genuinely miss going every couple of weeks forgot to take pics before I had my braces on but the results are amazing. I highly recommend 6 month smile braces over the Invisalign like braces if your like me and will probably forget to wear your braces. read more

Dr. Coria has been our family dentist since we moved here 6 years ago. She was referred to us by a family friend. We are so lucky to have found someone trustworthy to look after our dental health. She is thorough, personable, kind and makes things easy and comfortable as possible. She has the most caring and friendly staff and we appreciate the stress-free scheduling! I have been coming to Dr Coria over 10 years. I love that she has current technology and explains everything to me. She also gives me options. Best case, middle of the road option, and worse case. It helps me decide what is best for me based on my personal circumstances. Dr Coria also is very caring and always delivers the highest quality. I have many crowns come to the dentist every 6 months and never had a bad outcome. I have a family member who is deathly afraid of the dentist and needs to take anxiety medication before her visit. Dr Coria is very good with her. She is gentle , explains every step and is able to calm her anxiety and really help her. It also helped me not worry that all her teeth would fall out ! I am a military personnel and I am very picky who I let touch my teeth! I don't even let the dentist on base touch my teeth, but I would let Dr.Jaymie work on my teeth any day of the week which is why I always come back. My wife loves her and she is really really great with my two sons! I am a very clean person, and have to always be in a clean space and here I never feel like I have to worry about if it's clean because it is very clean and sanitary (so clean if I were to drop a chip I would still eat it!). The office is always maintained, and organized. The employees are always clean to which is a plus. The y are also very friendly as soon as you walk in you feel a warm and fuzzy feeling as if you were at home. They always greet with a smile as well . They rember us as well as others by name they are always treating you as if you were family. As for there workmenship it is outstanding!!!. They have a great deal of knowledge of everything they do , they figure out the best route for what ever your situation is with your teeth and honest about every thing they say. They are very reasonable on their prices to which I have never had an issues with. I could go on , and on about them but the bottom line is my family, and I are very happy that we have found this place, and so are our friends who we recommended to them!!! Update on the first review. The staff cares about you and your dental health. They do NOT, however, pay close attention to the billing aspect of the business. I refused a certain service 6 months ago for my child. I was billed anyways for it !! Now, 6 months later I refused the certain service. Again, for the SECOND time, I was billed for a service never received. Their excuse ?? They use a "template" in which they just bill everything on, forgetting to put a "red flag" on my non-requested service. Please train your staff to pay attention to the details. I'm undecided, but I may take my family elsewhere. There's a dentist on every corner and I feel like I've been had. Also, please don't make us feel bad if certain members have less hygiene than other family members. I work full-time and I don't feel well. I can only control so much. I wouldn't be writing this updated review if this only happened one time. Everyone makes mistakes- but your "template" system has got to change !!! My last cleaning didn't remove my tea drinking stains. I should've said something then, but here it is now. Update: Wonderful new staff !! Best cleaning ever by Shelley ! Very thorough and caring. Dr. Coria and her staff never disappoint! I don't like going to the dentist, but this practice makes it simple and as comfortable as possible. I've gone quite a few times now for cleanings, fillings, and crowns. Each time has been pleasant. They offer headphones with Netflix or Spotify music if you'd like. They have always been on time with my appointments except for once, and in that instance, they gave me a giftcard to Starbucks for my troubles. Talk about great service! Worst place ever. I had a terrible experience here with a technician painfully numbing me, then telling me I was too sensitive. Because of this, I could not even go into see a dentist for a long time. This has resulted in me needing to replace a crown that this doctor put on only three years ago. Not happy at all. read more

I should know because I work in healthcare for more than a decade. I have had many experiences with different dental offices and I would say this is one of the best. I hate dentists, who doesn't? However, my experience at this office has been exceptional. I have been going to this office for almost a year now and my experience with all the staff and the dentist, Dr. Coria, have all been pleasant. The staff is very friendly and informative when asked questions about my coverage. I receive reminder of my appointments, which as busy as I am, is a great thing! During my visits, Dr. Coria explains all procedures she is performing and glady and THOROUGHLY answers all my inquiries. The office is very clean and comfortable and there is hardly ever a wait when I get there. Highly recommended!!!! Especially for 6 month smiles. I will be the first person to say that I do not enjoy going to the dentist, any dentist! I mean who does?! But with that said I will say that Dr Jaymie and her hygienists make it very very comfortable. Every appointment I have gone to has been filled with care and sincerity. The front desk staff are even apologetic when they need me to fill out standard paperwork! So sweet! I do miss Dr Robert but Jaymie has done a great job filling his shoes. My hygienist Marie always keeps me entertained during teeth cleanings as well with lots of entertaining stories! She also never fails at always giving me great advice at how I can improve in my own home cleanings. Would definitely recommend to a friend, I just wish I lived closer! :) read more

I went to Jaymie Coria because I had a problem with one tooth, and I also checked to make sure she was a Delta Dentist as that is the insurance I have. Apparently, even though it is required, she did not bother to make sure about my coverage (or maybe she did and didn't care) and now I have to pay for a full mouth set of x-rays even though I only had a problem with one tooth. I also had to have a cleaning done. Luckily that didn't cost as much. She also insisted I have many more crowns done, that I had a mouth full of cavities, and I needed a night mouth guard (which are an expensive joke according to a dental surgeon friend of ours). Do not go to her. She is only interested in money, not your dental health. read more

The first review is not accurate. Only the office staff left. The excellent hygienists are still there. I originally saw elder Dr. Genc, who was a fun person. I switched to his son because i have complicated and delicate dental work, which the son did well. I judge on competence. Enough about the past. Dr. Coria has the qualifications (look her up)--she is friendly, if you are looking for that. I am impressed with her professional presentation and her thorough exam. After reading the last review, I had to add my comment. I have been a patient of both Dr. Gencs since 1989. Back then I worked near their office. I haven't worked in the area for 20 years and live 30 miles away, but I stayed with Dr. Gencs because he did a wonderful job. When the son left, I figured that I would finally find a dentist close to home. Before I did so, I went to a couple of visits with Dr. Coria. I was so pleased with her attention to detail, her warmth, her concern to make absolutely sure before performing expensive procedures and the overall quality of her work that I have stayed with her. I wish I could give a higher rating, but after 1.5 years of regular visits for myself and my family, we have switched to another dentist. This practice was originally owned by Dr. Robert Genc and his son Dr. "Rob" Genc. Dr. Genc senior was the epitome of the caring, personable family dentist from years gone by. He made even the most anxious dental patient feel relaxed and comfortable, and he developed a positive rapport with all ages and stages. It was clear that his staff adored him every bit as much as his patients. Dr. Genc died a few years ago, and Dr. Rob (his son) sold the practice a year or so after his father's death to Dr. Coria. While the modernization she has implemented is praiseworthy, her manner and the environment she cultivates lacks the heart and gentle kindness that kept patients coming back for decades to Dr. Genc senior. Further, almost all of the original staff (office and hygienists) have left. The overall quality has declined, which is almost as sad as the loss of Dr. Genc. read more

Place was great w/ Dr Genc Senior, then Junior. Then got numerous mischargings for myself & rest of family. New machines & higher bills when all I wanted was quality hygenists and honest charging. Had 2 kids with same treatment on same day being charged 2 different rates. They later said they fired office person. Got a verbal apology but my bill was never settled. I still love the hygienist I had but have since found a place that does honest billing. My bills went up by at least $40+ for each family after Jaymie took over for same cleanings. She seemed honest & genuine but at end of day too many inconsistencies in billing. I felt like I was paying for new equipment & to support a new practice. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Genc for nearly 20 years. I allow that there might be a trial period where things are new. I saw Dr. Coria last year and she was very efficient at filling a cavity I had with no issues. I'll be honest, I only go to the dentist once a year because I hate going. I hate the scraping of the teeth and everything about it. I've only had one cavity in 20 years so mostly I can get away with it too. I have no other mouth/teeth issues. Today when I saw Dr Coria I had a cleaning. No remaining staff is there from the Coria takeover. My hygienist had quit and I didn't know that prior to arriving there. The new hygienist was fine--no issues. But when Dr Coria came in all she did was shame me for not coming in every 6 months. She put a "watch" on several of my teeth and told me that if I didn't come in regularly I could have mouth cancer or cracked teeth and I would never know it. I asked her if I needed work done. I am certainly not refusing treatment and if I need a crown or whatever please sign me up. But she said no, I didn't need any work, but if I didn't come back in in 6 months I would risk cracked teeth, root canals and so on and so forth. She predicted very harsh and bad things would happen to my teeth despite the fact that I needed no other treatment at this time. So I suppose scare tactics work on some but with someone who doesn't like going to the dentist anyway well, I think I will find a less scary dentist in the future. read more

I, too, was a past patient of Dr. Genc before Dr. Coria took over the practice. Initially, the changes made were quite drastically different. Dr Genc senior was a calm, gentle man. There was always this peaceful environment coming into the office, including the old school wall paper and the gentle and quiet hygienists. Dr. Coria brought the practice to the millennium and our files went virtual and computers and screens were visible in each room. I wasn't sure in the beginning, but I have grown fond of Dr. Coria and her team. First off, she is a great dentist. I think in the beginning she was desperately hiring and didn't hire the best hygienists but she has since then completed a strong, fun, talented team and I really like going here. I should add that I now live in Long Beach and still drive the distance to see her because I trust her work. My parents think she overcharges, but I think it's fair relative to others. I'd like to see the front desk staff be a little more excited to see me, but everyone has their own opinions about what they want in a waiting room. I like the TV with its music and interesting pics, and others hate it. I like a lot of energy and a big welcome, and others like it quiet and calm. So be it. Try her out and if you don't like her, guess what? You can find another dentist! LOL read more

Definitely the best dental experience I have had in a long time. Customer service its top notch. Excellent staff. Great atmosphere. Dr. Coria is awesome! Shes great at educating you on whats going on with your teeth and is very conscious of making sure you're comfortable. I couldn't ask for more from a dentist. This dental practice is fantastic! I wanted to have my teeth whitened and was referred to this office by a friend. The receptionists were super cheery when I arrived, and the tea in the waiting room was a nice touch. Although I didn't have much of a chance to drink it since they were running on time and saw me at the exact time my appointment was scheduled for. Even though a whitening procedure is something a dental assistant does, Dr. Jaymie took the time to explain the steps of the process to me before the assistant began. And the doctor checked in on me several times during the procedure. Whitening takes awhile (especially when your teeth are as stained as mine were), so I was stoked to find that the room had both television and music on offer. I can't say enough at how pleasant my experience was, and my teeth are now super white. Even though it's a bit of a hike from where I live, I'm making Dr. Jaymie my regular dentist. read more

I recently went in for a crown and paid thru the nose to have this done. When it came to having my permanent done I had an Xray done to make sure the tooth was okay and not inflamed and found out I was charged AGAIN for the Xray. You would think this would be included in the original procedure. Look out when you have service done - when they ask you for any additional procedures, like flouride treat or even the dentist coming in to see you it is an additional fee. I have been a patient of Dr. Genc for over 20 years and never have I been charged such high prices as to what Dr. Coria charges. I am now to the point of looking for a new dentist because being charged an additional fee for something that should be common sense and included with such an invasive procedure is absolutely absurd! read more
