I have moderate arthritis, both hips replaced and various orthopedic problems, and have experienced a huge improvement in my range of motion, overall strength and better balance. Old aches and pains have melted away. I notice progress with each class and look forward to the next. I have been warmly welcomed by all instructors who are each top drawer pros. I leave feeling grateful and uplifted in body, mind and spirit!

I loved the sweet welcome note on my locker. Someone also came up to me on my bike to check in and make sure I'd gotten my bike set up ok. The class format was exactly what I'm used to - perfectly challenging with a great playlist. The only downside is that the bikes don't have holders for the arm weights. The studio emailed me after the fact to thank me for visiting (it seemed personalized, not automated?). Great experience!

My muscle memory came back and I noticed a difference in my appearance and mindset in just a month of starting back up. My favorite instructors are Kim, Nina, Inja, Samantha, and Joelle. They're so helpful with correcting your form and what to do with modifications if something is a little advanced or hurting outside of your comfort zone. Every class I improve a little better and a little stronger. I'm able to push a little longer as well. I'm glad to be back.

Another woman placed her belongings down next to a machine to reserve it for herself for AFTER she was finished with the machine she was working on. I contacted the corporation via email and they said they would put signs up to stop people from reserving equipment but there were never signs put up. I joined this club and paid the extra $30 compared to another club that charges only $10 a month so that I could go in the pool and the Jacuzzi as it helps my pain. The last time I went to the Jacuzzi there were five or six old men sitting in the tub and one of the men was very threatening telling me that everyone took their shoes off before going into the Jacuzzi and I did not (I had flip flops). I wondered, were these losers kicked out of their senior communities? Why were all of these men there at the same time? When I started at the club there was a younger crowd and I liked the fact that I wouldn't have to use my parent's senior community jacuzzi and be hassled by mean old people there. This corporation is doing nothing to improve the club. It's going downhill. It makes me wonder if they're trying to make members want to leave so that they can bring new members in and charge higher fees.

In the summer, it seems like they'll hire just about anybody as an instructor. I have been doing Pilates for over 20 years and I could not believe the quality of the people they had teaching level two Pilates.... I swear they were trained over the weekend ....seriously not qualified! My biggest complaint would have to be the lack of padding on the reformers. I spoke to one of the owners over four years ago about this issue, and I was assured that they were refurbishing all of the foot bars, beds and shoulder pads within 6 months. fFnally, last year they refurbish the boxes. Rather than investing in the clubs they have, they open new clubs that they can't staff with qualified instructors. It's frustrating trying to concentrate on pilates while being distracted by having your shoulders, feet and back up against metal on leather. I thought the South Tamiami studio was bad until I went to use the one downtown, which are even worse.... zero padding.
