Great place for the kids and animals. Much better than most of the zoos I have been to and a much more intimate experience.

Been here before but it was the 1st time we caught the bird show and the cat show. They are a must! The children of the original animal trainer, Kay, continue the tradition of entertaining and teaching. We were told that the big cats are trained the way we teach our pets (and kids): repetition, reward, positive reinforcement. On our 1st trip, we bought a close up animal encounter with the caracals. Amazing. Pricey but worth it. The fee allowed 4 of us to have this experience. (Price is NOT per person.) There's something for everyone: petting zoo, pony rides, primates, bison, lions, and tigers and bears. Oh my! A fun-filled day!

    Adorable petting zoo

We took our daughter and son in law yesterday - first time for all of us. Absolutely loved it!! So much fun and very well kept up. We ended up buying an annual pass. Can't wait to go again .

We really enjoyed our visit to Big Cat Habitat especially the petting zoo. We fed bears and tigers and saw many big cats as well as other animals.

The entire experience was amazing! Establishment was very clean and the animals are very well taken care of and happy! We will be visiting again and again.

Awesome place. They seem to really take care of the animals despite what some crazy animal activists say. You can actually hold the baby alligator here, feed the tigers and get a picture with the tiger (he is in a crate but for a very short time and gets treats after each pic). Accepts credit cards but bring cash for the extras like the pic opportunities. Will definitely be back. Oh and don't scare the alligator like I did, went to pet him after pic was done and he rightfully took it as aggression reaching around him. Felt bad about that for the poor little guy!

This was such a disappointment. Their website makes it sound like it's a sanctuary but it's not. They have big cats performing tricks in a show like jumping through a hoop. The bear enclosure is really small and sad. They also had a mandrill and I think some monkeys in cages that were just slabs of cement surrounded by metal fencing. It was clean but we have to expect more of places. They're not accredited by the AZA. Sad that Florida allows animals to be in situations like this. Just because it's better than the situation they were in doesn't mean it's good enough.

It's funny place to spend the weekend with kids There's a lot of animals our kids love this place. Highly recommended.

I loved seeing all the animals. the son of the lady who runs this place is corney he talks to much, so much that you lose interest and start falling asleep. other then that everyone was kind very informational. I do think, that more tigers and lions be on display and not in the backgroun, where you have to squint to see them.

Place is well maintained and the animals are healthy. Bravo. It's not a zoo. This is a rescue facility .

They have great security and short lines, which is a huge plus for families. Walking in, you're greeted by a grand staircase that leads to all three levels of the aquarium. We made our way through each floor in order and enjoyed every part of the exhibits. The first floor has a lot of interactive options for kids, along with a massive glass viewing area that makes you feel like you're swimming alongside the fish and sharks. This might have been my favorite part--if it weren't for the second floor. The second floor overlooks the main exhibit below and lets you get up close and personal with the sharks. We even got to see a shark fin sticking out of the water, which was pretty iconic. The third floor was awesome because you get to step outside, see the manatees, and enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding area. Overall, I think this is a great place for families. There are a lot of interactive exhibits, and everyone working there was super friendly and genuinely seemed happy to be there. 10/10, would recommend.

A very cute a fun museum!…read more My group and I came here mostly to see the manatees but enjoyed the rest of the museum as well. We went through the exhibits on the two floors relatively quickly but they were interesting to look at. I liked the emphasis on Florida specific history. The planetarium was interesting and the seats were very comfortable. The manatees were obviously the highlight. We were able to see two babies, Sorbet and Juneau, right at feeding time. The top view of the water had a superior view. Overall, while I'm not from here so I'm not sure when I'd be back if I went, I really enjoyed my time here.

Manageable sized museum where we spent about 90 minutes and had to leave before viewing everything. The Butcher exhibit was very good, I wish there was more. Truly incredible work. There is a manatee rehab area, although no manatees currently as the ones they had were thankfully released back into the wild. Emma who works in this area answered several of my husband's questions and was quite knowledgeable and informative. Some great historical artifacts, especially for local history. Excellent museum gift shop as well, with a large variety of items and another friendly and engaging employee, Anne. Looking forward to the upcoming baseball exhibit, and will allow more time.
