One barber I tried claimed to be a "Master Barber," but refused to cut the sides of my head using only scissors and comb? Another barber initially did a decent job with the first two cuts, but then for unknown reasons during my third visit decided to drive a lawnmower down the center of my head! Anyway, I started searching for another barber and came across Lee Saltsman, owner of Rock N' Shears barbershop. Based on his reviews, I decided to give him a shot. After my first haircut with Lee, I can honestly say I found my new barber! Lee's shop is clean, professional and well stocked with quality hair products. Lee himself was dressed sharp as a tack, which in my opinion implies a keen awareness of personal style and attention to detail, something reminiscent of classic old barbershops. Prior to starting, Lee took the time to find out what exactly I wanted for my haircut and reviewed a few photographs I had brought in for him to look at. In addition to regular haircuts, Lee offers other services and recently was trained and certified to provide classic Italian shave and beard services, a rare service you do not see much nowadays. For most barbers, other than obtaining their Master Barbers license and recertifying it every two years, that's the extent of their ongoing "professional training." That's not the case with Lee, whom I would describe as a self-improver. Lee actively seeks and undertakes additional training and mentorships to improve his skills and knowledge, which again is rare among barbers. He is personable and easy to talk to, a rare quality in this industry. As a man, if you genuinely care about what your hair looks like, and you're tired of going to trendy, or those "Jiffy Lube" style barbershops, then give Lee a try and you won't be disappointed.

I received a call from Shay notifying me of unfortunate (albeit, temporary) news that their store was flooded and they are currently working at the Mt. Juliet location if I was still interested in keeping my appointment. I really appreciated her prompt call and she was so friendly, too. I ended up calling in the morning about some medication questions and if that would affect my waxing. Through the entire process, Shay was not only professional, but she was personable, too. She made a great first impression on the EWC locations here. Annalee was my aesthetician and she, too, was professional and listened to my concerns about being on hydrocortisone. She did a strip test to see how my skin would react and made the decision that I was good to continue. She was pleasant to work with and made me feel comfortable and secure. My eyebrows came out fantastic, too! I'm so glad I was booked with Annalee because I have now found my new aesthetician here in TN!
