Located in Centre County, PA (which apparently has over 130 caves!), this unique tour takes you through a beautiful limestone cavern entirely by boat. The cave tour lasts about 45 minutes and costs $25 per person. They also offer a wildlife tour by bus, but we only had time for the cave portion. Be aware there's a fairly large staircase you'll need to go down to reach the cave entrance. Something to keep in mind if anyone in your group has mobility issues. Each boat holds around 22 people, but we visited on a quiet Monday afternoon and only had 8 in our group, which made it feel more personal. Our tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable, engaging, and had a sense of humor. He encouraged questions and had thoughtful answers for everything we threw at him. At the end of the cave, you actually exit into a small lake, take a brief spin around, and then head back through the cave to where you started, very cool and peaceful. There's also a gift shop on-site that sells snacks, drinks, and the usual souvenirs. Tours typically depart every 30 to 60 minutes depending on how busy they are, so timing is pretty flexible. All in all, it's a fun, unique experience that's well worth the stop!

You get to see the female alpacas first (about a herd of 8 of varying ages), then the males. Each paid guest receives a cup of food to feed the alpacas (save some for the males!). Bring a napkin/hand sanitizer because the alpacas like to lick up every last morsel from the palm of your hand, and some may spit at you! There's also fun games in the field, including a large giant slide for both adults and kids, a flat bouncy area, a fenced area for bouncing on some oversized balls, a tug-of-war, and other activities.

The hardest part was actually finding your way out, and we did this during the day, I have a hunch that the real fun is at night. The kids were loving the haunted hayrides during the daylight though, so they seemed to have found a good balance between frightening and fun. They had little fair games, pumpkins for carving and your typical concessions-the corn sling shot was the best...and we were lucky enough to be there for a zombie flash mob done by what must have been an all ages dance class, very cute. Not a lot for the adults to do/look at while the kids are running around except sit by the fire pit and sip cider, but there are worse things!

We came to Maple Lane Farm to enjoy the Corn Maze, and boy was it worth it! They had TWO corn…read moremazes - one as a starter maze, and then the BIG one (over 6 acres in size). They gave us a map in case we got "lost," but we made it out in under an hour. There were 12 clues to find but we only found 5 - that gives you an idea how big it was! They also had some animals there to pet, and pony rides too. We learned that ponys and horses are actually the same animal, and they're differentiated based on size! They also had a gigantic "corn" sand box for the kids to play in, and hayrides too. Highly recommend for a fun family afternoon!
