This place is operated by a young husband wife team who care what they serve. And serve at a very personable level. Chris is the executive chef and Alexandria is the General Manager. Worth the trip, especially if you have been at Sandy Hook for the day. If you live in the area, check them out, their personality is as good as the food.

I thought it was a little overpriced for what it was, but Porcini is a BYOB so I get it Someone else in my party ordered the scallops which came out without at least six. For the price, I thought that was pretty good and my friend said they were very good. I will probably get them on my next visit. Another person in my party ordered a halibut special. She didn't like mashed potatoes so she subbed them for a sweet potato hash, and said the meal was delicious. My wife had the goat cheese ravioli which she didn't love, but full disclosure, on our way in to the restaurant we met a couple we knew who had just finished dinner and they recommended the goat cheese ravioli! So obviously it's good but just not everyone's cup of tea. It's a small cozy room, so a little loud in there, but definitely worth going. Perhaps going during the week would be a quieter experience?

Very welcoming and hospitable from the hostess to the servers, and even the chefs made a point to say hello. You can definitely tell it's a local spot with a loyal crowd and friendly atmosphere. The appetizers were honestly the highlight of the night. We had the fried burrata, baked clams, and the egg rolls, and all were flavorful and enjoyable. The bread was also delicious. For entrees, we ordered the Chicken Margherita and the Rigatoni Alla Sharon. The chicken was decent, simple and comforting, but nothing particularly memorable. I felt like the chicken itself could have used a little more seasoning and flavor. The biggest disappointment of the night was unfortunately the pasta dish. The Rigatoni Alla Sharon was extremely overcooked to the point where the pasta was very soft and mushy. It lacked salt and overall just didn't have the texture or flavor you hope for in a good pasta dish. We were excited to share it and it just fell flat. Overall, I'd say the appetizers alone are worth trying, but the entrees were a bit hit or miss based on our experience. The atmosphere is cute, welcoming, and clearly loved by locals, and the staff truly were wonderful throughout the night.

That we noticed. We sat at the bar with a truly pleasant barkeep named Devon. Great guy. Produced two stunning cocktails ( Awedome Negroni and blood orange Margaritas) He showed us the changes which were mostly operation things but also the new menu. ( I always liked the old menu but this one was also inviting ) He explained that they did away with pizza .. that's fine as I wouldn't think of going here for pizza .. that I'll do at Birravino .. we ordered the tuna appetizer which was delicious and fresh. Served in a chilled broth with Avacado nice dish. Vicky loved it ! I had the eggplant parm app which was also pretty authentic in its simplicity but with a fantastic sauce. I could have stopped there as it was so satisfying but no.. we needed. To try the veal malfadine which was perfectly al dente and the killer pork chop which was hands down one of the most delicious I've had in a while To finish we sampled the bambaloni, a zeppola type dessert which was nicely deep fried .. presented well and tasted great but I had a major guilt thing after eating such a heart attack invitation All told we love it here ..

Maybe I misunderstood the description, but I expected the Creole flavors to come through more. Instead, the dish tasted heavily of tomato and seemed to be missing some of the additional seasonings I was expecting. The orzo was also overcooked, which made it very soft and easy to break apart. That said, the lobster bisque was absolutely divine, and the fries were perfectly crunchy. Despite my meal not being my favorite, the restaurant itself is beautiful. It was pouring outside during my visit, but the waitress was incredibly kind and attentive, which definitely added to the experience. I would still love to return and try some of the other items on the menu. I especially want to experience their outdoor seating--it looks absolutely gorgeous with the lighting! Overall, it's a beautiful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, and I'm looking forward to giving it another try.

Strada has a great atmosphere in Atlantic Highlands and works well for a casual dinner or a night out with family and friends. If you can sit outside I would as the inside is very busy and somewhat cramped. The food was great and made with quality ingredients, but I found the staff somewhat underwhelming overall. While everything was prepared great, nothing really stood out or felt particularly memorable. We have been here twice and found both times the cramped space plus the hectic atmosphere/busy-ness made it difficult to have a good sit down conversation. The first time we went we waited an hour and a half after ordering to get our food-my fiance insisted on staying but I would have left at the 45 minute mark. The experience wasn't bad, but it also didn't leave me eager to return. There are some positives here, but considering the service, and overall value, I felt it was just average and didn't quite meet my expectations.

Speaking of food, super mediocre & super salty. Not worth $80 Unfortunately I had a gift card to this place and the disappointment of knowing im going to have to go again pains me. Shouldn't be paying $20-$30 for a pie & around the same price for pasta. You're better off hitting up your local mom & pop shop & supporting them.
