I got a chance to sample a slice of their white pizza at the Jersey Eats NJ Pizza Festival. The slice was the first one I had and yet it is still one of the most memorable for me. The crust was crispy yet soft and unbelievable - no flop! The pizza was savory and had the perfect dollops of ricotta. The cheese wasn't slopping off, everything stayed together nicely. It even had a unique crust that had "everything but the bagel" seasoning encrusted on top. I normally don't go for a white pizza but seeing this at first glance I just felt gravitated to try it and I'm glad I did! This is a great family operated pizzeria. The family is super kind and proud of their business which I took away in the few moments I interacted with them at the festival. I wish them all the best and hope to stop by for some more of their pizza if I'm ever in the area! I recommend you try them! read more

I'm honestly flabbergasted how this place has any slightly good reviews. It is absolutely awful. I was hoping to find a neighborhood red sauce take out place, but this was AWFUL. I think the folks in NJ who have never lived anywhere else..just have nothing to compare this place to. I mean the roads, the parks, the infrastructure, the amenities, the beaches, the water, the roads (deserves a second mention) , the shopping, the culture, the EVERYTHInG including restaurants is so very inferior to the other suburbs. Yikes! The eggplant parm was unbreaded, uncooked, unflavored, un sauced --simply gross. The calzone was so full of cheap cheese we were gagging,. Had a great experience with Amici's. I had a small event to cater and someone had recommended I check out Amici's. The ownership was great and easy to work with. The full catering trays of penne vodka, baked ziti, chicken tenders, garlic knots, and mozzarella sticks were full and plentiful, and the food was great! read more

I rarely give out 5 stars, but I'll have to make an exception here! Amici is run by the family that used to run Umberto's in Fair Haven, which is dearly missed. We ordered from them for years and I loved going in whenever I come home. I'm glad to see them back in the pizza game even if it's a bit further We ordered a large plain, large pepperoni, a ham calzone, and garlic knots. All were fantastic as usual. I ate until I hated myself from eating too much. You don't have to do that, but it's hard to find good pizza in the Midwest! I had to go to Atlantic highlands for some work and decided to stop by for lunch at amici's off of Route 36 and gotta say this place was great. Not only was the cashier/counter lady very nice and attentive but the pizza was great too. I got a plain slice and maugherita slice and both were fantastic along with a fountain Pepsi. I called today to order food. The person that answered the phone answered with: "Amici's please hold" and she put me in hold. I called when I did to get a head start on a pizza so I could get there and not have too long of a wait. Over 15 minutes later I pulled in to the parking lot and went inside. There were people in the restaurant but it wasn't by any means a mad house. I told the person behind the counter that I have been on hold for over 15 minutes. She smiled and said "I have been too busy to get to the phone... I'm the only one here doing this". She was not the only person behind the counter. This is not the first time this has happened to me trying to order food from Amici. The food is good but the people working there don't seem to care much about customer service. This could be a booming business but they need to get the front of their house in order. read more

We were really excited to try this place. They renovated the space beautifully, have a friendly staff and a nice menu! Sadly the bread for our sandwiches was horrible (everything inside was excellent though). The pizza was way over done and my two kids who will eat anything pizza related refused more after reluctantly eating one slice because they said it wasn't good. The crust just not ideal, and not enough cheese for such thick crust. Really bummed because we love the location and so many things about it. Hoping they consider making a bread/dough change. Salad cost extra with entrees, sauce and meatballs just ok, bread wasn't that tasty. We gave this place a try but I wasn't that impressed.

I was eager to try the new pizzeria. The place looks great looks like they can grow into nicely. I ordered a half anchovie half plain. The crust is thin which is good and the sauce and cheese was good. My wife even complimented on that. Only critique was even though cheese was good there was too much and not enough sauce. Like anchovie but pieces were large overkill. Lastly and importantly the crust, not much flavor. Hopefully, they can consider and make changes. If so they have a steady customer. I wish them luck. I regularly get a plain Sicilian pie which I truly enjoy, as does my family. For holidays, I have ordered a half tray lasagna with meat sauce, which is also excellent. Their salads are also well done. Food has always been first rate. read more

I tried a slice today and found the pizza dough was light and thin which I like. The taste however was not there. The sauce had a sweetness to it and there was no taste over all.. It was like eating thin crust dough. read more
